Back,in 2006.I was 58 years old,took a pope and young black bear,out of Halley’s camps about 70 miles north of Kenora Ontario Canada,Using a 62 inch ,62 lb long bow,Cedar arrows 550 grain with 2 blade Magnus broadheads,about 20 yards,put the arrow alittle to the right of lung heart area,because of a tree branch!Liver shot,stung bear,who whirled around and broke arrow off,60, yards dead as a door nail!450 pounds,rugged out on my wall,Telesky Taxidermy,great job out of Winnepeg Manitoba,also did a Moose,wolf,fox,and ducks!Thomas A.Filipiak
Awesome video. Slow mo of the feathers spinning was pretty cool. Were you filming part of it with a head-mounted GoPro? This will be my first year 100% dedicated to the stick bow and I was debating on carrying a GoPro to film for my own entertainment and maybe my kid will watch it one day.
Thank you! Yes, part of it was with a GoPro on a headband. I like to film for two reasons-one is to confirm shot placement as the human eye at regular speed sometimes sees it differently than what actually occurred; and second is for the same reason you noted-so not only can I relive it, but my kids and grandkids will be able to have it in the future.

@@bowkeroutdoors thanks for the reply.
I’m planning to book a bear hunt in Canada next year, I may have to check this place out.
Best of luck in your Stickbow adventures. It’s a great place, but I think they’re booked out a couple years.
Congratulations! Nice bear and filming job!
