I think that by showing the choir dead on the ground, he was indicating that not only is Kujo stealing from Ren, but by suing Ren and forcing Ren’s hand to defend himself, he’s actively taking money out of the choir’s pocket as well because they’re not getting paid while the litigation is going on

The Sick Boi video is currently still the original Kujo Beats version. Ren did intend to replace it with the remix in October, but his health crashed and threw his timeline off. He still intends to redo the song, but he's only been back to working a few weeks and his upcoming album has to take priority so we don't know when the revision will happen. In the livestream Ren did after releasing this song he said that if Kujo would apologize for the uncleared sample he would go back to the table and continue trying to work something out. But as it stands, this is where it was left and he doesn't expect that to change. The couple went silent and Ren took the Sick Boi audio off all digital platforms, including the albums. The only legal way to get the song would be if you'd previously bought a digital album and downloaded it before it was removed, or if you buy a physical copy of the cd.

The money was only a part of it. Sick Boi was a precious creation to Ren. It meant so much to him & to so many others who related to what he said. It's no surprise that Ren wasn't the 1st artist Kujo tried to, or did, rip off. In 2020 he did it to a producer named Nyaz. When Ren learned that, he gave Nyaz the same amazing deal he had offered Kujo. Nyaz got a 50/50 split as co-producer on Money Ties. Ren has said that the pig represents greed but it also represents his illness. He has been in pain every single day for years. He still is in pain every single day. He said it's almost like an uncomfortable companion that's always there. I think he talks about it in his Zack Sang interview. BTW that one is excellent.

It was not about the money. By pulling the song himself so he could not be extorted he lost all revenue from streaming & all hard copy sales stopped as well. UA-cam reinstated the video after meeting in person with Ren and finding it was an illegal copyright strike done by Kujo & his lawyer. Kujobeats was only entitled to his contracted amount less the choirs' portion for the sample Kujo stole. Nothing more. He gave up any other rights when he sold his beat through the beatstars company Ren bought it from. Kujos girlfriend was messaging Ren acting nice, then online on social media sites and in other reactors comments the next day posting fake paragraphs she claimed was the contract; Saying Ren was lying, uncooperative, and stealing from Kujobeats. She committed fraud, lible, and defamation. Ren could have charged her but chose not to.
This song trended so hard that it actually charted in 3 countries :) YT management met with Ren shortly after this was released and removed the Copyright claim Kujobeats had unlawfully submitted (pending further legal action). So you will be able to find the original Sick Boi song to watch it, stolen choir sample and all. Apparently the people in white represent the Bulgarian choir and they die at the end because without their sample the song Sick Boi is dead (I read this from someone else's comment). I think he said in his earlier post and his comment on this video that he would sue their asses off as part two if this isn't the end of it.
This wasn’t about the money for Ren. Kujo threatened Ren’s art, and even though Ren offered options that would’ve benefited Kujo more , professionally and monetarily, Kujo persisted with greed, threatening work that is very personal to Ren. She also did a little 'creative editing' with the original contract between Kujo and Ren, to try to make their demands for his money seem legal. { The Law calls that Document Tampering and Forgery! } She put herself right in the centre of this mess that Kujo created - and stirred the flames.

With Ren the visuals are just as important as the music... My kind suggestion with Ren is to watch the video and read the lyrics during the pauses... Always recommend watching the 36 minute explanation video that Ren puts out, so I'm glad to see that you did before watching this. As I intend for this breakdown to be about the VIDEO itself and not necessarily the cause of it, please use Ren's explanation video as a way of getting an understanding of the reason a rap battle/beef video was made by Ren before reading this breakdown. This was conceptualised, prepared, produced, filmed, edited, and prepped for release in the span of only two months. Samuel Perry-Falvey filmed, choreographed, and lit the video itself, with Ren directing. It was entirely done by Ren otherwise. The choir represents the Hungarian choir whose sample was illegally used by KujoBeats to create the beat that Ren purchased FROM him. 'Kujo' is played by Kai, the same guy who plays the Bassist in Back on 74 and often is part of the filming and production crew for most of Ren's videos. 'Kujo's girlfriend' is not known to me so I hope the RENegades can help fill in who that is playing her. Until I know, this entry will remain 'blank'. The introduction is an echo of 'Hi Ren' to represent Ren's inner turmoil over the entire situation. As mentioned in my breakdown of Hi Ren for you, here is an explanation of the pig: The 'Pig' from the beginning is an essential symbol in the RENiverse and appears in many, if not most, of his other music videos and media. It represents the corrupted and abused systems of the world that take and take and take and never give back to the people they are supposed to support: medicine, music, finances, trade, commerce, government, etc… Best lines are definitely: "But the killing you're committing is career suicide"; "I'm the subject matter, you're a part of the scenery!" The beat and composition are arranged to be simultaneously coinciding with the lyrics, thus giving them more meaning, and the classical components of that composition really add to the depth of it all. He mentions a few of his songs throughout the lyrics, though I prefer to keep that something you discover for yourself. This video gives you a much deeper appreciation for all his hard work and creativity and personal stakes in Sick Boi, so if you have not witnessed yet, now is the time. She also did a little 'creative editing' with the original contract between Kujo and Ren, to try to make their demands for his money seem legal. { The Law calls that Document Tampering and Forgery! } She put herself right in the centre of this mess that Kujo created - and stirred the flames.
Kujo went after Sick Boi. He can’t really complain about the fact that Ren allowed Sick Boi to respond.
Love the vid, brother. You might want to reduce the music volume when you're speaking. You're the focus of the vid remember that. You give proper respect to the artist already.

With Ren the visuals are just as important as the music... My kind suggestion with Ren is to watch the video and read the lyrics during the pauses... Just a suggestion, your channel so do what makes the most sense to you but I feel like you missed some of the visual storytelling at beginning because you were reading the lyrics with the music. Always recommend watching the 36 minute explanation video that Ren puts out, so I'm glad to see that you did before watching this.
As I intend for this breakdown to be about the VIDEO itself and not necessarily the cause of it, please use Ren's explanation video as a way of getting an understanding of the reason a rap battle/beef video was made by Ren before reading this breakdown.
This was conceptualised, prepared, produced, filmed, edited, and prepped for release in the span of only two months. Samuel Perry-Falvey filmed, choreographed, and lit the video itself, with Ren directing. It was entirely done by Ren otherwise.
The choir represents the Hungarian choir whose sample was illegally used by KujoBeats to create the beat that Ren purchased FROM him.
'Kujo' is played by Kai, the same guy who plays the Bassist in Back on 74 and often is part of the filming and production crew for most of Ren's videos.
'Kujo's girlfriend' is not known to me so I hope the RENegades can help fill in who that is playing her. Until I know, this entry will remain 'blank'.
The introduction is an echo of 'Hi Ren' to represent Ren's inner turmoil over the entire situation.
As mentioned in my breakdown of Hi Ren for you, here is an explanation of the pig: The 'Pig' from the beginning is an essential symbol in the RENiverse and appears in many, if not most, of his other music videos and media. It represents the corrupted and abused systems of the world that take and take and take and never give back to the people they are supposed to support: medicine, music, finances, trade, commerce, government, etc…
Best lines are definitely: "But the killing you're committing is career suicide"; "I'm the subject matter, you're a part of the scenery!"
The beat and composition are arranged to be simultaneously coinciding with the lyrics, thus giving them more meaning, and the classical components of that composition really add to the depth of it all.
He mentions a few of his songs throughout the lyrics, though I prefer to keep that something you discover for yourself.
This video gives you a much deeper appreciation for all his hard work and creativity and personal stakes in Sick Boi, so if you have not witnessed yet, now is the time.
