I LOVE my Logitech Folio Touch keyboard with my new 2020 iPad. It protects like an Otterbox, but so functional too. Better than the Magic Keyboard, IMO, and half the price. I decided based on your review, thank you!
I literally bought an iPad Pro 11 inch a few months ago because of this amazing channel. I love these kinds of videos. Thanks for your wonderful content
Considering finally upgrading my iPad Air 2. As someone who’s not a power user, would even the base 11” iPad Pro be overkill? Don’t do video/photo editing, nor graphic design. I just use my iPad for the basic everyday tasks, web browsing, social media, streaming emails etc.
I’ve tried to use Notion on and off for years and I’ve been I technology for a long time and it just isn’t clicking for me. I get it, the “data” based presentation , views and the ability to manage information, but this reminds me of the old office-like suites that get you sucked in and then it’s impossible to get out. You literally have ZERO ways to do anything but that one tool for everything. Here’s an example of where Notion just makes it a LOT more difficult for something that’s pretty simple: Travel. I have a trip to San Diego next year and I went into the default template to add my travel plan. I filled out the properties and even attached the files for my itinerary, insurance, rentals, etc. But to get to this point, I had to print these files to a PDF, save to file, then attach them to the travel record. Doing this same task for Notes or OneNote, I just dragged the information to the note/OneNote and it was inserted automatically, without have to first save as a file. I could then use the Pencil or just type beside the PDF attachments any other information I wanted. Yes, I cannot create custom views, but does one really need to for tasks like this? Same goes for a journal, which is another default template, I can pull up a variety of other apps and just start typing, the Notion I fill in the fields into the template, but now I want to draw something or add a photo and that’s when it gets complicated and I have to break the thought process of writing the journal entry to go figure out how to get the content into the app. And this is my biggest hang-up with Notion: I have to FORCE myself to use it. It literally adds steps to what I want to do vs making it easier. Maybe I’m just missing the boat here and if so, point me in some direction. I’ve watched a bunch of videos and gone through the “notions” but it feels to me like a database trying to be the end all be all tool and that’s not really what databases are really meant for. Or is this something else? I don’t know, rambling now...
Great review as always! Personally I really loved Affinity on my MacBook and it’s really powerful and even better on the iPad Pro a whole lot better than photoshop in my opinion plus no subscriptions needed. Keep up the great work!
The procreate app part of the video was the only part I felt you weren’t authentic that you use it. Everything else was really good and legit. GoodThings!
I’ve been using lumafusion for all my UA-cam vids so far. It’s a great app. However......my one complaint is: any time I use their supplied music from the story blocks included with their subscription, I get a copyright strike from UA-cam. Not cool.
yes, but Notability is the greatest app in the known universe, updated very regularly, minimalist design, but capable of being the all in one notebook.
@@TheEverydayDad I like notion too, but I want to put in veeeery much data, sometimes even personal, and it bothers me that it is all online. Why can´t it be offline as well?

Hey Gary. Great work. Could you make a video on back to school tech? Actually my college starts in October. Would be grateful to get your review on back to school tech. Thank you.
Hey Everyday Dad, seeing you are still using the logitech folio, my question is if it is comfortable to write on with the apple pencil? I am a student and since release i want to buy it but i am scared that its to bulky at the edge so it is not really comfortable to lay your wrist on it. Great video btw:) Greetings from Germany 👋🏽
After owning an iPad and an MBP. I have come to the conclusion that the iPad Pro is a great productivity tool. However, if you own a full operating system device and its portable like an MBP; you don't need an iPad Pro. In my opinion. An iPad Pro is a great companion device if you have a desktop computer like an iMac. Owning an iMac and an iPad Pro, the two devices speak very well with each other through sidecar and airdrop. When you need a portable device, the iPad Pro will handle most tasks just as well as a laptop would, without having two devices that are literally the same. What I use my iPad Pro for, is a media device while I complete my workflows on my MBP. My MBP is my work device, and my iPad Pro is my personal device. On the iPad Pro, I edit photos, I Game, watch movies, and pay bills. To listen to media on both devices, I use Airpods on my iPad, and I use iPod Pros on my MBP. Both work great for me, and again both are portable enough to where they do not get in the way of anything. Yes, they are probably not the best, especially for the money, but for the work and because they are Apple devices, they communicate very well with other Apple devices and they are not too bad on the comfort department either. Great video as always
What keyboard are you using? I like the Apple magic keyboard, but I’m going to college and want something a little more protective and something that holds my Apple Pencil. Your case looks awesome!
Started to subscribed to your channel because of the iPad Pro review. From the day I purchased it with the Magic Keyboard, this thing has pretty much save me a lot of time in completing all kind of tasks. Perfect productivity tool!!
Also waiting on the vectroscope (or how do you write it in English). This is the only major limitation compared to FCPX (for basic YT talking head videos).
