Great content as usual. No one else is doing this type of in depth content about the manual Tacoma. The 25 of us in North America that are getting a manual are in your debt.
@@MoneyShift I'm interested to know if the catalytic converters are protected, in your opinion. I've seen videos that have briefly touched on this but they were lacking some detail. It would be good to know what your thoughts on it are. Do you think that we would need a catshield or perhaps a skid plate for protection. Thanks.
Every safety feature available for manual transmission is available for automatic. Actually the adaptive cruise control is more "automatic" if you will.
What needs to be shut off to take into an automated Car Wash? My wife’s Mazda CX-90 just stopped in the car wash. Have to turn off a couple collision braking things. Luckily it’s a button rather than going into the gauge settings menu. Somewhere i saw could maybe hold down traction control button 3 seconds or something?
The test you forgot to do on Adaptive Cruise is will it work in bumper-to-bumper traffic. I wish you would've let it stop on its own when coming to the stop. Maybe that feature it has would prevent it from stalling.
Bumper to bumper, it works nicely. When truck comes to Auto full stop on active cruise, just click up to continue (right hand side steering wheel). Caution! Leave plenty of spacing between u & front vehicle when u resume active cruise from dead stop.
Great video! Does that option where the signs show up only work with the upgrade tech package? For example: would that work with an Sr or a model with the smaller digital screen ?
Back in the 80s manuals where all there where in order to get and automatic you where looking at the top of the line truck carpet power steering x-cab but I stayed with what was on the lot really good gas mileage in the 24 area in the city and those little mini trucks would easily carry twice the rated weight limit they where awsome mini trucks my dealer go me the first gen 1 in the north east.
I thought about the same thing - but it doesn't bother me - I'm actually glad to have it - as I have a dog that sits on my wife's lap - and she can get a bit nippy at times (she's half chihuahua) and I like the extra protection LOL.
Its funny but two years ago I had a1998 honda cpe manual 2.3 liter, aluminum-alloy, in-line 4cylinder engine with a VTEC cylinder head, quick like a cat. It was my work commuting car . It got hit and totaled. I'm an V8 guy but I have experienced 4 bangers so I won't sleep on Toyota with the mauual ... Great info. Oh yeah I had 210,000 miles on it.
I might very missed it but can you completely turn off all the assists and just drive the truck? I know it's a little odd these days but I like to pay attention and actually drive my vehicles😂
The lore behind that is I got called out RUTHLESSLY early on in my videos for skipping over the T in button. So I vowed to put a little emphasis on it just for those people

I’ll do it in the next video!

@@bobo11112222 We are talking about how it works on a manual, will it stall, warn you to shift gears etc..

The 80s Toyota pickup was incredible.
question, I would to see 👀 how close is the manual shift to the handlebar on the right side 🤔?
Love it! Will answer in the next video.

Makes you wonder if the handle was in production before they green lighted a manual transmission.
Fair point!

❤
All the manuals will be recalled… mark my words.
Noted.
3rd gens are like yeah but you don’t have a v6..
😂😂😂😂😂
The only reason why I got my 4th gen tacoma is because they moved away from the v6 lol
I downvoted because of the way you say "button". Just stop trying so hard
