Great video, but you’d never make it working a highway crew, you never lean on your shovel.
Ha! After this build maybe I’ll need that job.
Good job finishing things up.
Great seeing you finish off your bits and pieces, coming along nicely. Bet Tina can’t wait for it to be finished, it’s going to be awesome. Have good week😊
I can’t wait to see you are pouring the concrete, beautiful floor plan ❤❤
It’s really coming together. I know it’s a pain in the rear to have to fool with filming all this for the videos as it pertains to getting the job done. I for one so appreciate the extra hours it takes and somewhere down the road you will be so glad you took the time to do it. Once your sweet daughter gets a little older she will see what her daddy built with his own hands. Great job getting all the finish work done so you can forget about it. Thanks for taking us along on this journey.
Some days it feels like work filming and others it doesn’t. Most of the time, at this point, it doesn’t seem like work, just normal for me now.
@@TriStarHomestead, great job. Hopefully you will encourage others that they too can do it.
I'm excited for the concrete pour!
Us too! Hopefully soon.
I saw in your shorts that you’ve got a little trouble with flooding … Maybe you could invest in a flock of geese (like 20+) to trample down the earth, they are great for sealing the ground 😇 Back in the day geese and ducks were used for solemnly this purpose - and of course they taste great 😅
Interesting. I don’t think that would help with our water issues as a whole though. Our main issue is bad to no top soil and what’s there is severely depleted from years and years of abuse.
I do have a leak in my pond though that geese and/or ducks might be useful for. Might need to look into that.
@@TriStarHomestead well for ponds Joel Salatin also recommends using pigs, just throw a little bit of corn in there and leave them for a week and they seal it right up 😅 But for shaping the edges geese are great as well 🙂 And they can survive completely on grass btw 👌🏼
Remember A/C... You may need a pad of concrete... if this is for solar remember where the panels go (on a roof, on a wall, or building a frame on the ground (your animals can live in the shade). ua-cam.com/video/-fGgoRoi_u4/v-deo.html
Now that's pretty cool. Didn't know they had those solar units. For the house we won't use that since we are going to be tied into the grid but our shop we plan to build and any other buildings we will be putting off grid and this will come in handy for sure. Saving this link.
As for the AC pad, we will have a form ready and pour that with the extra we have from the main slab.
You should sleep well after that gravel workout!
That’s for sure!
❤👍👍👍❤️👍❤️
