Would love a guide on the practicalities of surviving in DX. How to stay hidden, how to see other people, etc. I thought I was doing well by keeping my drive signature small but I've been pwned 2 or 3x now just trying to feed my rockhopper a steady diet of stone and ore. I think it was the NPG that recommended adding a torpedo launcher. I thought that was a defensive thing but apparently it made me appear on peoples radars or something?? Anyway RSM saw it and torped me while I was just munching rock. Based on in game chat there are a lot of people w/ similar concerns/confusion.

Hmmm yeah that’s a good idea. The torp rack gave you a “threat score” so that’s probably why they shot you. Without a torp rack they would still be able to see you. But you couldn’t see them without it.
