Dude your absolutely right. 2 months ago I was at Binny's, I saw Fortaleza on the shelf for reasonable prices. Sign says "can only pick 1". So there's like 5 Blancos, 4 Still Strength, and 3 Reposados. So I grabbed the still strength.... I kept looking at the bottle I grabbed and was happy what I found, WITHIN 2 MINUTES, NO LIE, the 3 Reposados all of a sudden disappeared like magic and the sign cost of the Reposados disappeared all of a sudden as well too. I didn't see no one around 🤷. Like you said. Employees are using tactics on hiding these somewhere 🤬
I agree. But it is an Excellent Tequila and the stores in my area (one for sure) doesn't mark it up at all. Last year I bought the Blanco for $49 and the Reposado for $59, so I'll pay that anytime for a top-of-the-line Tequila! @@tequilaforeverforevertequi4647
Fortaleza current owner is behind driving up the prices by limiting production. In reality Fortaleza has plenty of Tequila but they want the demand and prices to rise so they can get a higher profit. My suggestion. There are other great Tequila out there and cost less like Case Noble, Siete Leguas, El Tensor. Which are on the same level as Fortaleza but cost less and You can find these Tequila assessable.
Fortaleza doesn't benefit from any of these higher prices that retailers or secondary is charging. They aren't behind it. Fortaleza charges 1 fixed cost to the distributor....that's where their revenue ends
@@396mrmario If that was the case in point then that point of view would hold value. Fortaleza still limited their production supply and the price are still going up. We could use all types of excuses but the product is’t the only thing effect by the price hike. Fortaleza is still a good Tequila but all these current circumstances are harming the product then doing any good?
Thanks for the video. I hope people listen. I found Fortaleza blanco at a store in Missouri, they had one on the shelf for $70 and you had to buy a different bottle of tequila all of which were $150 price range.
Yeah that’s not cool, they are taking advantage and using thee excuse “ It’s to prevent scalpers from taking advantage’’ while taking advantage of the situation for more sales.
I seen Blanco Fortaleza in La Paz, mexico and he wanted 155.00, I said I don't think so, now I am in PV and found all 3 bottles for around 50-60 a bottle and it has the Los Abuelos label , whoot hoot!!!
It comes down to demand. The history, the quality, and the process are all authentic for this brand which drove up the price along with availability. I wish it was cheaper too, but I know how current times are. I still look for the best prices, but those super low prices are pretty much gone now. People were sippin on Lot 42-A and 43-A like it was nothing back then. Now the Lot 42A and 43A are unicorns. I think 42A is going for over 1.2k easily beacuase it was the better batch of the 2. Crazy what demand does but still an amazing tequila at the end of the day!
I agree but I don’t agree with what’s going on! Tequila is being treated like a collectible antique, when it’s meant to be sipped, drank mixed or whatever but it’s tequila! I open all my bottles fuck it I don’t care, if I save one its because I have 2 or had it in the past and am going to open in the future, people buy these and wont open them, but are proud to say they have. Tequila is tequila, some wont be the same or they will be gone and new ones will be introduced. Still if the man himself isn’t raising prices neither should retailers.
The Grandson and current owner drove up the price by explaining the current weather season from a few years ago affected his production so He had fewer bottles to sell. But this hasn’t affected Siete Leguas or El Tensor. He claims his factory is small and had to keep up with the demand. The whole story he put out is a cover because he knows if he drives up the demand and prices most of the customers in the United States won’t notice nor care because they want Fortaleza because it’s rate as the number one tequila on the current market.
They are worth more than msrp , yes , I agree, what I don’t agree with is being ripped off! They are meant to be sold at a reasonable price , if this was from manufacturer then yes I can say I would agree with some prices.

They are taking advantage, I’m trying to help people see what’s going on.
I can’t find it
Try looking on line.
Check on line.
I Agree. I absolutely will not buy Tequila from stores that mark the prices up 100% and more. Highway robbery, I will not submit to.
Not worth it, there are many other tequilas out there just as good.

Salud to that!

I tell people all the time “ so many great tequilas out there, just gotta try them”
First person to mention Casa Noble ! Underrated tequila for sure the anejo is really good

Good for you. Glad to hear you refuse to $155.00 and finding an honest retail, I always say ‘’Be patient and look around’’ Salud!
Appreciate you Amigo, Salud 🥂
Thank you.
I agree . what's happening is a crime. To buy a bottle by me they wanted me to buy four additional bottles of crappy tequila.

Where did you find it for 50!?!?!? I need one ASAP.
BevMo and Perry’s liquor. I believe prices have gone up a bit recently, it’s about 60 now if it’s even available. ( 60 is not from the manufacture)
anejo and still strength worth the extra mark up prices in my opinion.

I know what store you're talking about Dry Cr .😡 crazy prices mark up. Even the siembra valles high proof is crazy high.
Definitely one of the stores! I’ve seen crazy prices in many other liquors , that’s why I don’t stick to one place. Ridiculous 😤.
