I think "Strawberry Wine" is one of the greatest country songs ever written or recorded. Deana has such a beautiful voice. I love this updated version with the other beautiful voiced ladies as well. Both versions bring tears to my eyes.

This song always gives me goosebumps! I have a very specific memory associated with it….lt was 1996, I was in the Navy, I was 19. I joined the Navy and was on my way to my first duty station in Mississippi after completing school & meeting (and marrying) my husband. We were stationed at different duty stations across the country and I made the drive myself. It was late summer….you know those days that are still warm but you can smell fall coming in the air? I had my portable CD player that you had to put an adapter into the tape deck into to make it work. I had bought “Did I shave my legs for this” as one of the albums to listen to on the drive. It was around 3:30 in the afternoon, I had the windows all rolled down in my fully packed car, wind in my hair, sun on my face, and I blasted this song on repeat. Man, those were the days.

I was 16 when this song came out in 1996. I remember belting it out driving through my small hometown with my best friends in the car. I may not have had the best childhood, but I miss the simplicity of life.

I was 30 when this came out, I remember everything, but I was 14 and he was 19, not knowing. But it was a summer I will never forget. It was so bittersweet, but so beautiful. I know today it would be wrong. But back then, it was so sweet and beautiful. It was two people in Love 💕💕
I lived a very similar story. Everyone said I didn’t know love at that age but when it’s love it’s love, it doesn’t discriminate regardless of age. Nothing or no one can or will ever erase those memories. They say you don’t forget your first love and I believe that to the fullest. I’ve been married for going on 12 years now and even though I love my husband, there will always be a special place for that first love. It didn’t work for us for a reason and I’ve come to terms with that since then but this songs really hits the heart. We would sneak out in the middle of the night and actually sip on home made wine! strawberry wine.

Oh jeez....I am 43 now....was a teenager when this song first came out...have 5 kids and a grandbaby now, (we're a blended family...) But my husband and I were little kids when we met and dated through high school...stopped...married other people, divorced them (😬 we wanted the relationships to work but they didn't😭) but we're back together now, married and have a big happy family....Life is funny in many ways. Whats meant to be will be meant to be...and this just takes me back to where we were young....before our hardships. But we are SO happy now. 💖
And I was the ass**** who broke up with him, bc he had to go away and I couldn't handle it. I am so sorry everyday, but count my blessings every day now that we were able to reconnect and be together to this day and happily married for 9 years this April...💖

My mom has told me that this was my Granddaddy's favorite song. He died 2 weeks after I was born, so of course I have no recollection of him & only a single picture of he & I together, but listening to the original version has always brought a smile to my face & made me feel connected to him in some way. It's going to be so nice having a new version with this collaboration to love myself.
This song was so good when it first came out, and it's still great in 2022. Why can't country music be like this, and not the crap you here on country stations nowadays.

Always loved this tune and still have it on our playlists. Ashley never disappoints. Man, she’s got the voice but she also has the wise old woman at the controls to hit that perfect note at the perfect time. Nice. The youngins are both fantastic too. Nice redo.
I think most if not all woman can relate some how to this song. It’s been a favorite of mine since I was a young teenager but just hit 30 last month, and I can’t express how much I truly love this song! I didn’t think it was possible for a better version than the original but this song has all the right lyrics, beats, and I love the change with the voices! It’s like taking a hank song and throwing Chris Stapleton in it!

Nostalgic vibes! Man this song still makes me tear up and it just takes me back to particular time in my life. I wonder where that particular someone is now all these years later. Guess we’ll always have that summer to reflect on. It’s beautiful how a song can take you there even emotionally. I’m married now and with a family but it’s crazy how your first love memories can come back with one song like your 17 again.

This song was a favorite when was I younger, and continues to be to this day. It has very special memories tied to it for me and reminds me of my mother who passed in recent years. As a 34 year old mother with children myself now, this song is beautifully bittersweet. 💖

I had not intended on getting weepy and sentimental this evening, but then UA-cam suggested this video to me.
I vividly remember when this song first came out. I was 19, in college majoring in radio while working at a local radio station, and this song was on HEAVY rotation. Partly out of being tired of it and partly out of being "too cool" at that age to like it, I remember thinking it was a goofy song.
I couldn't tell you how many years it's been since I've heard it...and it hit hard today.
When I was 19, I had lots of plans, confidence, and energy. I thought I had it all figured out. I had no idea how little I actually knew or the roads life would take me down. I'm a 44 year old science teacher now with a wife, 9 year old daughter, and a house full of pets.
Did I ever think I'd end up like this? Goodness no...but I have no regrets and I'm grateful for the journey AND the people I have along my side for it.
I didn't "get" this song back then...but I think I do now. Thank you so much, Deanna Carter, for making a new version of this song that helped me revisit my past and feel more than a bit nostalgic.

I was a child when this first came out and of course I didn’t really understand the lyrics I just knew I could sing it. Now that I’m closing in on 40 these lyrics and the music itself hit so much harder.
Looking at Strawberry wine from someone closing in on 30 when it came out the first time, to now as someone in their mid 50's. It's funny how this song has more meaning and is even more poignant, as we get older.
