That brings back great memories of when I did it a couple of years ago on a 790 Adventure R. Such a great track to ride, although it was a bit drier when I did it. Great stuff and I love your video. Thanks for the memories!

Great viewing Shadow👌 We never got to do the Creb as the first creek crossing after the Daintree it was up to chest deep so we had to retreat back to an even more swollen river crossing with current coming at you! Two drowned bikes but we survived it.🤣 That was 1992.. We even had to ride through a storm swollen Bloomfield river. That was scarey as there was a whirlpool half across to avoid. Cheers mate.

Great video! I was a bit worried when the Husky went in the drink. I work on bikes and I was thinking of all of the things that could go wrong but he was very lucky. The oil change or 2 would be a must. I've only gone as far as Port Douglas a few years back on my Indian and would love to go all the way to the top on a Enduro. I took my wife and boys up to Daintree in a hired car a few years ago and we did a boat trip to see the crocs! You wouldn’t have got me in that river… I’d love to do that road again on my tiger 800 XC but it’s a bit of a ride from England!

Cheers Shane. Re Hema maps, I find it suits my needs perfectly. I would recommend it however it is expensive. Also I'm not sure about recent versions, possibly a monthly subscription fees and not as good. I would do some research before purchasing. Cheers mate

Those are some knarly river crossings and some seriously fun track! A suggestion for those carrying Inreach/SPOT's. When off road carry it on your body (I use a clip to hold it on my backpack strap) vs attached to the bike. That way if you have a really bad one you will definitely still be attached to your emergency communication device.
It surely was entertaining the old Creb track. We discussed having the inreaches on us but with 4 together all day every day we opted to put them on the bars with lowering the safety. Riding alone, different story. Cheers

When I crossed the Daintree in a 4wd after a week of rain, the water was up to my bonnet, and my bonnet is high, patrol with 35" tires, how would you guys have managed if the river was that high? Or do you pick trips when the river is low? I actually seen a group of riders while I was there, not sure how they crossed the river
Good question, we certainly try and ride when the rivers are crossable on bikes and if not then you need to find go arounds or change the route. That said, the guys and I have all toyed with the idea next time we hit a swollen river or creek we want to float them across using bush know how. Certainly would make for a cool vid. Cheers mate

Nice vid. Local up here, ridin/driven creb many times, drowned a 4wd on the last creek on your film at about 38:40. Track changes so much all the time. Awesome ride tho. On a side note your handlebars look rolled forward quite a bit. Bit more of a nutreal position will make them less twitchy and better in this sort of terrain.
Quick question for the team Husky fellas. I literally JUST bought a 701 LR. I am awaiting my outback motech racks to arrive so I can mount panniers ( just as you all did). How do these bikes ride with gear ( as you road with in the video)? I'm coming from a GSA1200, and I;m thinking all will be good , but thoguht I woul ask sole folks with experience how it feels?
Spoke with the 701 lads and they were very impressed with the bikes loaded up. Obviously you need to respect the fact that the bike is loaded up and performs differently however its still very capable. Coming from a 1200 you definitely will notice the difference and will be pleasantly surprised. Cheers mate.
Would administering a dose of fogging oil help with the milky oil after the water in the motor....hard to do an oil change in the bush, but perhaps a small container of fogging oil would be useful?

I have a dual input socket for my gopro and simply have the second mic beside the Cardo speaker.

You’re right Dadul, it did evaporate. We swapped the oil anyway to be sure.

Would administering a dose of fogging oil help with the milky oil after the water in the motor....hard to do an oil change in the bush, but perhaps a small container of fogging oil would be useful?
I'm not sure to tell you the truth? They seem to use it in the marine industry.
