    Great viewing Shadow👌 We never got to do the Creb as the first creek crossing after the Daintree it was up to chest deep so we had to retreat back to an even more swollen river crossing with current coming at you! Two drowned bikes but we survived it.🤣

    Great video! I was a bit worried when the Husky went in the drink. I work on bikes and I was thinking of all of the things that could go wrong but he was very lucky. The oil change or 2 would be a must. I've only gone as far as Port Douglas a few years back on my Indian and would love to go all the way to the top on a Enduro. I do up bikes on my own YT channel so I might take one of them up there some day. Anyway good content and look forward to the next one! Cheers Rick MTR Australia

    Those are some knarly river crossings and some seriously fun track! A suggestion for those carrying Inreach/SPOT's. When off road carry it on your body (I use a clip to hold it on my backpack strap) vs attached to the bike. That way if you have a really bad one you will definitely still be attached to your emergency communication device.

      Cheers mate for the comments. Freighting bikes can cost anywhere from $1500 to $4000 pending on where you are in Australia and how you freight it.

    When I crossed the Daintree in a 4wd after a week of rain, the water was up to my bonnet, and my bonnet is high, patrol with 35" tires, how would you guys have managed if the river was that high? Or do you pick trips when the river is low? I actually seen a group of riders while I was there, not sure how they crossed the river

    • @Shadower75
      @Shadower75  7 місяців тому

      Good question, we certainly try and ride when the rivers are crossable on bikes and if not then you need to find go arounds or change the route. That said, the guys and I have all toyed with the idea next time we hit a swollen river or creek we want to float them across using bush know how. Certainly would make for a cool vid. Cheers mate

    Nice vid.
    Local up here, ridin/driven creb many times, drowned a 4wd on the last creek on your film at about 38:40.
    Track changes so much all the time.
    Awesome ride tho.
    On a side note your handlebars look rolled forward quite a bit.
    Bit more of a nutreal position will make them less twitchy and better in this sort of terrain.

    Quick question for the team Husky fellas. I literally JUST bought a 701 LR. I am awaiting my outback motech racks to arrive so I can mount panniers ( just as you all did). How do these bikes ride with gear ( as you road with in the video)? I'm coming from a GSA1200, and I;m thinking all will be good , but thoguht I woul ask sole folks with experience how it feels?

    • @Shadower75
      @Shadower75  3 роки тому +1

      Spoke with the 701 lads and they were very impressed with the bikes loaded up. Obviously you need to respect the fact that the bike is loaded up and performs differently however its still very capable. Coming from a 1200 you definitely will notice the difference and will be pleasantly surprised. Cheers mate.
