  • With restrictions lifted I along with some mates get back out there for a Mini Adventure Ride. It's full of amazing sites, awesome tracks, great laughs, and a little carnage along the way.
Hopefully, you enjoy the adventure as much as we did.
Cheers, ride safe and see you on the trails.

Hi Craig! I enjoyed! Now that's a true adventure. I reckon the choice of bikes is so important. Reasons: are obvious. I really like the map and the black line showing your journey. The mix of dronage, cutting in with other shots, and commentary is great. Great work as usual.

    • @Shadower75

Hey Robert, yes the choice of bike is important however things like this happens. I rode the Duke in the same if not worse terrain and I was very surprised how capable the bike was. Handled the rough stuff just fine.
Anyway, thanks for the comments mate and hope youre well.

I really enjoy the 'culture' that you create on your rides. Everyone chips in and helps out, to make sure all of you get through, or at least are helped out when needed. No one is left behind. Really positive atmosphere. Good job.

Thanks for the comment Marcel. Glad you like the comradery and positive atmosphere. For me its the only way to ride. Come up against challenges and work together as a team to overcome them. Cheers again mate.

Great series 😊Since you rode this shallow tail pass has washed out so much that where you were standing before the crossing is all exposed rocks making it a rough entry. On the exit there is a good drop off the concrete. Must have all washed away in the heavy rains earlier this year (2021), I’ve always wondered about going up across Guineacor as was out that way fighting bushfires before the 2019 ones (fought those closer to home)
I think I’ll stick to going out to Taralga then pick up range/Jerong/Lang’s. Love your map trails, to give a great overview of the trip. (I’m on a R1200GS Rallye)

Inspired by this video I attempted this trail yesterday on My Wr250r.
Due to recent rain parts of the trail were quite muddy & slippery.
I only got as far as the top of the steep decent that brings You down to the abandoned 4wd before turning back.
My 2 cents for anyone else wanting to try this trail.
Guineacor Firetrail is an expert level trail, I recommend not going it alone.
Also definitely avoid this one if there has been any recent wet weather.
On the other hand, Brayton road / Swallow Tail Pass is a nice easy dirt road for anyone to enjoy as part of a day trip.

    Hey mate
I’ve been thinking about buying either a KTM690 or Husky 701 for a while now ! I just love that rally look for an adventure bike ! I used to own a DRZ400E and loved it for the light weight that it is compared to the big bikes ! And think the 690 and 701 is on par with that !
However I see a lot of reviews on the bikes but never any of the issues they have !? I’ve heard issues with the seal in the clutch master cylinder going within a few weeks on the 701 and my mate had similar issues on the 690 I’m just wondering if you’ve ever had that and what you take on the bike is ?! Love the vids 👍🏾😎

I’ve only just got my learners I brought a Honda 450L thought it would be a good light adventure bike that I could ride legally wanted the KTM 690 but I’m not allowed to ride on Ls unfortunately do you think my bike choice was good?

I hear the Honday 450L is not bad at all. Hopefully it will be exactly what you are after for a adventure bike and who knows, maybe when you legally can you might want to change your bike. Adventure is all about getting out and about not riding a specific bike. Cheers mate.

Hhmmm...cast wheels with tubeless tyres are always risky offroad, but it’s even worse that the front wheels are 17” and not suited to such terrain. 19” would be the minimum I’d consider, and 21” is of course ideal.

Fair point however I rode it a fair bit and it was actually a capable bike.
      Cheers Ronan mate.

Well I don’t think that Ducati belongs in such terrain. A little bit of gravel is ok but not that. Or get crashbars

    • @Shadower75
      @Shadower75  4 роки тому

Crashbars for sure however the Duke was very capable in that terrain.

Is it Sadistic of me to slightly enjoy watching people take their road oriented bikes off road and crashing them? Great video nonetheless.
