🙏 🙏🙏!!! This is honestly the best way to react in these types of circumstances, because once you stay, they will do it over and over again…and one day it might even go too far.
The other good thing about this response is that you probably taught the man a lesson too, that if you do such you will lose out on people you love, I hope he took that lesson and didn’t lay his hand on anyone else moving forward.
Thank you for the comment, I hope it helps someone.

The saddening part is that police officers came to investigate the scene and did not notice anything wrong, in South Africa perpetrators have 99% chance of getting away with a crime 😭😭💔

Ladies please remember that your family didn't raise you to be abused by some strangers child. They spent money, love, emotions, mental, psychology and physical energy in raising you. In their plans they never planned that some man will one day come and abuse you. So think about this whenever a man disrespects you and abuses you. You are an investment to your family and such an investment needs to be treated with love and care. Ladies you are a precious commodity who needs to be adored at all times.

Children are NOT a "commodity" or "investment". This view is SO wrong!
With this backwards way of thinking I'm not surprised that South Africa has so many interpersonal issues.

I love this comment -Everytime I meet a man and later find out he’s mean, I remember the fact that I was born in love and raised with love - I won’t let my parent’s sacrifices be for nothing by staying with an abusive partner. They don’t deserve me - I left a man for calling me stupid and he couldn’t believe it. Any sign of contempt I’m out.

@@Anele_Mchunu No, they don't kill you after leaving the first time or second time they hit you, they kill you after you've allowed the toxicity for too long and then, allow them to enjoy that power dynamic for too ling and then after that say you want to leave.
How many stories have you heard of a woman that was hit once by a lover, left and got killed? That's why I said normalize "not staying" y'all stay too long and allow the abuser to get used to the dynamic of being a god over you, they never want to give up that power hence they kill y'all.
Don't give them that power to begin with. This is how it normally ends, with you dead. The first time he hits you f* out of that relationship! You're not going to be the exception chances of you changing that man are zero. Don't try to be a savior, leave and let that man be.

    • @sandradube4456
      @sandradube4456 2 роки тому +17

@@Thankgot continue making yourself a victim, you'll end up in the news. There's a pattern to this and I'm telling you normalize leaving " the moment" you realize the relationship is toxic. How many women you heard of who were killed after one or two incidents of abuse? It's the "staying in these toxic relationships too long" that gets you killed eventually. But you not ready to take responsibility for your life, go on with your victim hood mentality. You'll be a statistic, but know this you're not hopeless, you can leave the "very moment" a hand is laid on you and you'll save your life.

Whenever I come across such videos the questions I keep asking is: why do these men turn out to become monsters? Did it start from their childhood? How did their fathers treat their mothers? How can this circle be broken?
Am afraid until something drastic is done to avoid such gory stories, this chain of violence will continue to spread without an end in sight. Its so sad😭

Watching these gbv videos all i can say, we need to teach our girl kids self love, respect, worth, independence (please stop depending on men demanding gfriend allowances) . I guess these are the building block to get rid of gbv.

I know independent women who are with abusive and entitled husband's. We need to teach men to love themselves and love women properly.
Women get all the training but still

Other wise our children are the ones who suffer the most. ...

You cant reason with an abuser. You can’t tell them you are leaving. They must just find you gone. Don’t tell relatives / friends who can tell him where you are.

With all due respect to our elders, friends and culture, at times they enable this behaviour. Women get abused and go back home but the parents and unfortunately mostly women encourage you to go back and they tell you it’s normal. Bekezela, soldier on! For what, because tomorrow the man will kill you. We have to change the narrative, no violence should ever be justified. Not having a husband is not a sin. We should say NO to Marriage at ALL costs. Let’s encourage our girls to protect themselves and know that they are enough on their on. If a man is abusive, leave before it gets worse.

Thank you for taking your time and really unpacking for us these stories. I have to say that when you share can you please refrain from calling people especially men that you have already judged and sentenced stupid. We have a deep problem in this country of men that are violent, this cannot be normal. There’s a deep rooted problem that we need to address as women by covering our husband, brothers, fathers and sons in the intercession of prayer. It’s clear that they cannot do this alone, we need to come as a collective for this. When we call them names, it’s making things worse because the mouth speaks life or death. This comes from a caring place.
