Great video and I have been escorting Amish built sheds for over 3 years now up here in Northern Michigan. They are amazing people and the pay is great to the point where I have been able to save all my Social Security money and of course the wife is still working. Enjoy your building
You never fail to AMAZE us Billy, a DIY Shed, made with reclaimed wood and used stuff that is in good condition, Good bye DEBT Hello Self Sufficiency! 😁👍
I have never seena small trailer do that maneuver sideways, I have seen big heavy equipment being moved do that maneuver but never a small trailer like that, pretty awesome I bet you that trailer cost a fortune. But that is what you need when you are moving them structures when you run into a road like that. My hats off to them guys that brought back premade cabin to your property very nice job
When Im in a flatbed truck ( Towing ‘) I had to back down 2-3 mile long tight drives to pick up some vehicles, have faith in em they do this all the time💜💜
I have a 12x32. The inside is an empty shell. I like how they did the cedar walls on this one. I'm worried about putting up drywall because of the harsh climate.
Surely the cabin should have gone on concrete pillars. Makes no sense putting it on the ground not leveled. where as if pillars were used the cabin would be spot on?
Very valid point, and one we will be certainly employing for our main cabin build! I appreciate the thought and concern for sure! The final step to the placement of this particular structure and one we didn't film was jacking the cabin up and putting it on concrete blocks in order to get it off the ground and also level it. Not ideal but better than direct ground contact!
🤠Amish build mobile homes, trailers, rv's, & this was a wood sided mobile home. Amish mill & cut & build great log cabin homes & that, they do amazing. This Mobile Home should been set on 2' Concrete Block or Stone FOUNDATION. It's not a Cabin. always, Tommy💜
You figure the cost of a new manufacturer or trailer cost between 50 to 70 thousand dollars and when u buy a shell cabin u can save yourself 30 to 50 thousand dollars and u can finish it yourself
If you are the folks that are having the trouble legalizing your pre fab cabin... NO idea is going to be good but I have an idea that might be better than a stale-mate. " TRADE" the cabin you have back to the Amish Company for a "kit" of the same style cabin. James
Hey thanks for the comment! I'm not sure if our build is the one you are referring to. We made sure to gain the correct permissions and get the building permit for our particular structure. No legal trouble here thankfully!
Why in the world would you set it just on the ground like that??? Why wouldn’t you put on some kind of concrete foundation or converted to real property like you were doing a manufactured home tie it down to the ground and put it on some concrete pillars? Makes no sense to put it on the ground like that and not level it or anything.
Please telk me you did not leave the cabin on the ground. I see trouble. Did they not even level ? Your joisy are going to warp. I hope you put this off the ground. Just saying. Nice cabin What was the price?
one thing about these amish shed/houses that i was wondering about is how are they anchored to the ground and do you worry about the bottom boards rotting (even if they are treated) when they are just sitting on the ground like that ?
By the way it was taken off the flat bed I saw some bending. I would not live there unless it was checked & squared again. I know Amish do amazing work but I still need verification. I would also put it on either pillars or a crawl space not directly on the open ground.
from one of his replies "The final step to the placement of this particular structure and one we didn't film was jacking the cabin up and putting it on concrete blocks in order to get it off the ground and also level it. Not ideal but better than direct ground contact!"
Good question! Mostly we will be employing a grey water drain field which will keep the majority of our plumbing above ground. Keep tuned as we should be getting to that portion of our bathhouse in the coming weeks!
Well it's been over 4 years now escorting Amish built sheds and barns. That trailer is very nice but not cheap as your looking at $90,000 or more plus the truck.
Hello first time watching your videos always had a respect for the Amish hard-working people Bible fearing people mind your own business great furniture they make beautiful their women and kids well-behaved not like us who claimed to be Christians like a minister said years ago there's a purpose being worked out The Seventh-Day Adventist come close but we're allowed to live in the City and to work but not go to the bars are smoke her kids are to behave and listen to the elders that's why I like about the Amish you keep Sunday we keep Saturday Exodus 20 Saturday is our Sabbath we have people in Ohio or coming out and keeping Saturday as their Sabbath with The SDA Church God is waking them up do thank you and let's respect the Amish they're good people beautiful loving just like us but they don't watch TV which is a good thing they come out of the society they're brave thank you Wisconsin fond du lac a member of The Seventh-Day
I've been nothing but impressed with the overall build quality of both these structures! The overall fit and finish on everything is to a level I could never hope to duplicate.
Hey thanks for the question! As stated the link can provide all the pertinent information. We had a great experience with them. Due to the large variety of options each build has the potential to be drastically different in price.
how is this being cheap? He said they were going to build the main cabin for them but this is for his family to stay in as guest quarters. Going this route saves them time and money not having to build 2 cabins from scratch.
@@ICP1SBJ because I live in Amish country non locals always hire Amish to build sheds because we have to buy lumber and pay tax the Amish mill ther own don't pay tax so you are screwing your local Carpenter they don't pay and screwing the system
@@davidredford3111 haha you must be one of those people who get mad at people who buy from Amazon and get their groceries from Walmart rather than pay 70% more from local stores. I live 20 mins from Amish and they do amazing work so if I was in the market for something like this I would also buy something like this from them.
@@ICP1SBJ no I'm not mad at nobody but I see our American kids not able to afford a house by these people not paying tax ther able to save money by not being in systems and by lots of land not fair to American kids

Crawling under the shed like that is a good way to end your problems if the cylinder blows
That surprised me too

Why didn't they check into that first?
The shed company should have told you right off how many blocks you needed to set it on😮😮
Wow. Fantastic!
It looks like the Amish have cornered the market on "drifting".

Hired pair of brothers thread a shed within one inch of my home and move with ease usinh a remote control

Yes putting it on the ground is not very conducive to preserving the floors from rat or insect infestation I guess the crushed stone is adequate
