I had a hard time getting used to its form factor until I started using in with a car....I'm actually very impressed with its size & quality. Great video 🎉

Great range test Dan, 320m is impressive on that new Dumbo RC TX, good idea using the Mini to check the distance while keeping an eye on the truck at the same time 🍻👍

Thanks Dave, not bad for a small TX running of AA batteries. I was happy my son joined me so I could use the Mini to track the distance 👍💯

Still im gratefull for taking the time to do any range test, many reviewers dont do any, and say range is good, like wtf? Good in relations to what?

Yeah you’re not wrong I’ve seen many videos claiming good range with no actual range testing at all

Great idea to use the Mini to test the distance. It is close enough to 350m. Good enough in my book.

Thanks Ryan, I’m glad my son joined me so I could use the Mini. I agree it was close enough to 350m 👍

@@Van_City yeah it is helpful when you have an extra set of hands. This would have been difficult to do alone. It would have required a lot of starts and stops.

Hi there I appreciate the range test, although perhaps academic really, as you could see or control the care at that distance from you. Also atmospheric conditions and I noticed a power line above you, that may have affected the range, due to electromagnetic interference. Still impressive range really. Best wishes to you and the family, 😊

Hi I 100% agree the range could’ve been affected by interference. Regardless at 320m that was more than expectable. Thanks for stopping by 👍💯💥

Dont wanna be negative, but that is not a great test at all. And i dont really understand why all ytbers do those the way you do.
claimed range is in PERFECT conditions.
Which means receiver aerial fully extended vertically, straight up, through the body.
Location : middle of no where, no interference, no electrical wires along the distance, as far from civilisation as possible, open ground, but not flat. Preferably transmitter on a hill, or maybe the car going uphill with the distance.
So who would need testing conditions like this for real life driving? No one.
So what i consider a good test?
cell phones, a call, 2 people, 1 stationary with transmitter, other walks away, holding the car in hands. Both people should be experienced RC users and comunicate well. No bluetooth headset, only loudspeaker call, middle of no where, no electrical lines. But with cell range off course. As the holder walks away beyond 200m, transmitter guy does smooth accelerations and slowdowns while making smooth turns from left to right. Communicates live what is being done, so the holder can watch for lag ang glitching as the signal is being transmitted.
Otherwise you only test the max range with loads of interference, even at same frequencies, with very minimal load on the receiver. That is not what a driver need, and not a max range in my pinion.
But also viewers should be warned, even your conditions are beneficial in comparison to neighbourhood driving. Range will fall drastically. So maybe my test should be done in neighbourhood for real range value instead?
Also im sure my methodology can be improved and im not even very experienced, so im open to criticism and tips.

I’d love to do a test in a more populated area but unfortunately the roads here are mostly not long enough or way to busy so I do these tests where I can.

@@Van_Cityhello friend I would like you to help me with a problem with my x6pm-350 so I installed to a jjrc q117 with a 4300 kv motor and still using 2s batttery, and when I installed everything I supposed to bind the controller and this receptor pushing a little button for 3 seconds so I already did this but here's the problem so there's a blue light that is flashing and a green light that doesn't flash so that blue light it just keep flashing and I'm not able to do anything.

@@Sanchez-uh3uc that’s odd. Have you tried powering on the transmitter then pushing the button on the receiver?
