    #sharethestoke and spreading the joy is the sole reason I started a Dutch wing foil group on FB... The world needs more light shining brightly and being spread as much as possible! Great video again Clay!

    Especially when there is literally 5 miles of that beach break… more than enough room for us all. Show love!

    Question about the board, how effectively does it paddle as a SUP? Does he just scratch in using white water then pump out? Curious about the width on the wide point forward and volume.

      I had full hip replacement in July 22. Surfed all my like I been paddle and caught a few wave the pop up is most difficult especially in small surf. I feel I need more recovery time 6-8 months.
      65 years. Your viedo looks awesome. I live in San luis obispo. Be great at the rock.
      Maybe you can do a clinic here. I'll contact you in January hopefully be ready.

    Hey Clay.. are you aware of restorative justice? It's written all over your words in this video. Restorative justice has been fuelling my wife and my life for a few years.. she is now certified to facilitate restorative processes and I'm considering also getting myself certified one day. Let me know if you'd like to read the article where we discovered this healing practice and I'll send it to you.

    The anger elicited from dudes dropping in derives from the rule set that the social group (surfers) decided gave the optimum fairness of opportunity to catch a wave vs safety considerations. The individual in that group pays his dues by missing waves he could have caught in order for others to respect his wave when it's his turn. So if someone breaks that rule set then the response is righteous anger. That's what teaches the grommets how the rule set of this group they want to be a part of works. Buddhist sermons not required. Understanding the rules of the game as agreed upon by the players is.
    Whether enforcemnet is 'beat down' or angry words or more gentle ' thats not cool bro', depends on the players temperaments.
    All tribes have a culture, that culture has rules and rewards, you just learn them and if its not for you, leave.
    Endless fluffy bunny acceptence and love of bad behaviour without correction and education in what is for surfers an always lethal environment, leads to people getting hurt.
    Love with Rules works.

    You forgot to preach about marine animals having difficulty detecting the foil slicing through the water causing a higher risk of unintended consequence as compared to regular surfboards. Animal lives matter.

    • @iriezorroloco
      @iriezorroloco Рік тому

      Wait, do mammal lives matter or animal lives 😜? I would be incredibly surprised if there have been more than a few foil to mammal interactions worldwide. Shred on!

    Clay that week was so fun up there,so fun I went up after boycotting it for a year and a half. If you surf there and don't get ripped off or car broken into you were lucky.
