Yes I have heard of W. D. Lyons. It was in the book Dream Makers Dream Breakers -The world of Justice Thurgood Marshall. What this man went through was horrific. Thank you for this video so people don't forget.
You know… the problem these actions were always occurring to the BLK Race/ Community…. Now...for those who want to act like are Ray Charles's cousin who pretends none of these things happened to BLK people…Lord Help Them!
Thank you, thank you! I'm so excited to have found your channel. I'm a new subscriber and look forward to more from you. I will definitely share with family and friends.✌🏾
I’ve never heard of this story and it’s a travesty! Anyone that has the nerve to say systemic racism in law enforcement are in denial & should be ashamed of themselves .Keep up your great work
Thank you I had never heard this story. It further illustrate the harsh reality of being Black in America and the ugly reality of policing black folks. The people who treated him like this are heartless animals
Thank you for your research,I have been looking at your channel for a while very insightful information also extremely sad .and every person, that wants to talk about reverse discrimination Needs to study this American history.
@happinessinheart5340 no offense, but he said that he "thinks", which means it's his opinion. He's entitled to that. Again, no offense. Just ensuring that we maintain a level of respect for one another on this channel. Have a great day
And this is happening now to our people. Remember before body cameras and cell phones they were getting by with this on a large scale. These race solders aren't afraid to be recorded on camera anymore, because they're put on Administrative leave, get paid their pensions and the tax payers pay the law suits.
Question? Did the transcript mentioned other people were convicted & set free? And No, I never heard of W D. I'm so glad you have these videos. We need to know what happened to our people.
Being Black, hate wasn't taught in my family coming up. My parents were from Bed Stuy, Brooklyn of the 30s, 40s and 50s. My father's father was a quiet man and extremely loving to his grandchildren. He was born in 1895 from North Carolina and had moved to New York in the '20s. One day out of the blue, it's funny somewhat thinking about it now, I must have been about twelve or thirteen. He was sitting in the living room of our house in a plush modern white chair. He must have been about 76 or 77 at the time, and out of nowhere he told me that when he was about my age, he and a friend of his didn't get off of the sidewalk when a White woman came past. He said that a policeman took both of them and...I can't print what he told me. It wasn't anything sexual but it was extremely humiliating and unconscionable. To this day I haven't bothered to tell my brothers or or younger sister. That's how heavy it was and I'll take it to my grave. I told two White people since then. The first time after almost 20 years holding on to it. The person I told it to was cool, but I just wanted to humble their thinking a bit. He was shocked and I thought to myself, "why did I do that to him"? The second time I told the story was pretty deep. I was working with a guy from South Africa and I wanted to convey a little of what went on here in the U.S. and how it had affected me personally. Because he was from South Africa I know that I had a chip on my shoulder just below the surface. He and his family wouldn't have been staying in South Africa if they hadn't been enjoying life at someone else's expense. That was my reasoning and my "chip" anyway. We were eating lunch at a table in a factory cafeteria. I don't remember the exact details but I took a stab at him and dropped that story on him as he was pushing a sandwich down his mouth. He choked a little and a tear jumped out of his eye. It was a genuine reaction. My first thought was "wow, he didn't deserve that", I wasn't that angry at him. From the reaction of the only two people that I told, you can understand why I never told my sister and brothers. My grandfather also told me about the Klan. He said pretty much that they would come after one Black man at 30 to 1 odds or overwhelming numbers for one man that might have a shotgun. Those were two things that he passed onto me regarding race. No hate taught, just facts.
I became aware of brutal Forced confessions by he City of New Orleans Police in high school years ago reading a poem by Paul Lawrence Dunbar called "Dialectic Quatrain" written in Black Idiom. Taint no Torcamada Taint no scurge of God just lil ole New Orleans make um tell it squad. Tomás de Torquemada was the Grand Inquisitor during the brutal Spanish Inquisition.
Why did you limit the injustice to the South. Open your eyes to the whole truth. Unquestionably blacks historically have been targeted by police. However, you would be remiss to not state that this happened in the North too. If you want to talk history be honest.
I am sorry I cannot even listen to it. It upsets me because I know it’s true from my grandmother story she told of her life. It makes me sick to hear this and to know that the world does not think nothing of this. I can’t take it I would love to listen to the story, but I can’t take it.
It's not we as black people should've said if it was going to be like that then it should of bn 50,50 half of the black school went to a white school and half of the white schools should've went to a blackschool but just like always we let white Americans decide what's best for our community's when will we stop the madness
They took the pride the traditions out of our communities I was lucky enough to have had two jr.high teachers who started right b4 integration and Mr Jr high was 88% black so they taught us the way they were taught it was great now like this man who is the subject of the story can you imagine what he went threw not ever he was a Man who story is hidden plz let's get back to being Black and Proud and telling our story the real American story to our children and our children children's like we were taught if u are 52 and over bring back the pride To the BLACK AMERICANS NOT AFRICAN AMERICAN ONLY A % OF US ARE AFRICAN AMERICAN DESCENT THE REST ARE INDINGES BLACK AMERICAN
And you are the one that celebrates July 4th Columbus Day and Independence Day right? Those are of the past and celebrated every year in this country. But only my race is told leave the past in the past. Encourage American citizens to leave the past in the past
@PBLKW Exactly, I couldn't agree more. Why the hell should African Americans forget their past when no over group is told to do so. They just don't want to be reminded of their horrendous behaviour and trangressions be because it makes them feel uncomfortable. Posted from Britain

Day after day, we find out what our ancestors went through.
They are their ancestors. What should we expect from organizations that are descended from slave patrolling.
Who are you a descendant of smh your comment is borderline feckless 😏
It was pure evil to think this was the justice system treating this person like this and in 2024 they still have some of those ideas

That still occurs today.

The hate that hate produced!
And continues to produce...
America's shame...
Nobody should have to go through what that man did.
I think there very few American white peoples that got into heaven
You don’t know that! A lot of people repented.
@@happinessinheart5340 you can’t repent and lie about the image of Jesus, checkmate 🤣😄😄😀😂😃😆🤪🥲
