Today we go to Lagoa de Albufeira🇵🇹
It is Portuguese lagoon located in the municipality of Sesimbra in the parish of Castelo. Sesimbra is in Setúbal part of Portugal. It is about 40 km away from Lisbon. Place is amazing and I recommend to visit ✅️ Also take swimwear...cool place for swimming and go back to childhood.
The lagoon is fed by the fresh water of the Apostiça, Ferraria, Aiana streams and by the salt water of the Atlantic Ocean , when the dune is officially opened in the spring . Lagoa de Albufeira is made up of three lagoons: the Large, the Small and the Estacada. Upon reaching a maximum depth of 15 meters, the Lagoa de Albufeira is considered the deepest in Portugal.
Surrounded by pine forests around perimeter. The calm waters and the wind create conditions for the practice of windsurfing, kitesurfing and sailing. Sought after by countless families with children, traffic can be chaotic on weekends(in summer). So go off-season 😎
On platforms in the middle of the lagoon there are mussel ponds.
Since 1987 it is in the National Reserve , being a zone of protection for birds🦆[WK]

Great video with beautiful views. We went there Saturday and for the first time seen a big pod of Dolphins for about 30 minutes, it was a dream come true.

@@millionplacesoneworld You're welcome - De nada :) .. for a small country in land mass Portugal gives you a good bang for your buck, it has so many great locations to visit , a side from the beaches & coast I love visiting the forts-castles & the many picturesque villages-towns, so much history . Portugal is great ( from north to south & west to east ) for many reasons one is that we can spend less time traveling from place to place & have much more time to enjoy when you get to wherever you are going compared to other countries. No matter where you go most are worth the trip, Portugal main land is fantastic but don't forget the Azores & Madeira islands , at the moment I'm in love with Porto & surrounding area all the way up the Douro river, I love my Portuguese wine you know :))) ,, will be checking your other videos soon.... cheers & happy traveling in this very underrated , safe & beautiful country :).
@@nelsonsoares2975 agree with you 100%, will go in December on longer trip 1-2 weeks up from Lisbon, will try to go not by coast but more inland, because I know there are so many beautiful towns and villages! 👍🇵🇹 and once more thanks 🤙🏼
They didn't open the lagoon to the ocean this year...😢 yet...im so sad about it..( they open it in May)
The water in all of Pourtugal is TOO COLD
