    I've been dealing with the burning thigh for years, maybe due to a hip replacement on that side. I've added 2 sets of exercises I found to my morning yoga routine, and they help, but I think this has made the most difference. At 71, I'm still sitting at the computer working from home all day. I've been surprised how much of the day I was spending bending forward. Thank you!!!

    Thanks for addressing this. I have dealt with this since my hysterectomy 15 yrs ago and when I mentioned it to the Doctor while still in the hospital, she said, oh that's normal. Never explained it and I thought it would go away. I deal with it most when I'm standing or walking for a long time. I will try your methods!

      If you get it most when standing and walking, it could be from a back problem. Here's a video to address that: ua-cam.com/video/UWd0rUZqA5E/v-deo.html
      Or it could also be from muscles in your outer hip: ua-cam.com/video/p7lEMwdPPbI/v-deo.html

I've looked at other videos and most of them are on the floor or laying down and because I'm having other physical issues most of those really were not something I was keen on. I pulled my lower left back driving hips back with an RDL. Have pain in that spot and now I have nerve pain entrapment down the front of my thigh only. Sit to stand, a jumping jack .. sit ups all causing massive front left thigh pain and possible a disc is pressing on nerve. I WILL try these.

    • @More4Life
      @More4Life  2 місяці тому +1

      These may or may not help with that kind of pain. The L3 or L4 nerve roots from the lower back would be the ones to cause front of thigh pain. Unfortunately, I can't quite tell you exactly what to do for your pain without knowing more, but this video about herniated discs vs bulging discs may be of some help in figuring it out: ua-cam.com/video/GhuG-e2djd8/v-deo.html Good luck!

    When I sleep on my back and suddenly I want to turn to my left side during sleep, I get extremely painful stabbing electricity cramp (if regular cramp pain is 4/10, this is 10/10 pain) to my right side of right thigh. I am quite a tough guy, but I almost cry each time it happens. It does not happen if I sleep on any of my sides nor during the day. It started 5 years ago just by sometimes feeling a tingling or electricity in that thigh, but now it's the worst. I workout with trainer three days a week, have active lifestyle. It happens either on soft or hard mattresses. Thank you for this video, will try if it helps me. God bless you!

    • @More4Life
      @More4Life  4 місяці тому +2

      If it only happens when you're on your back, you might try sleeping with a pillow under your knees. That helps keep your lower back in a neutral position and can take tension off of your hip flexors if they're tight. Here's another video about rolling over in bed that may help as well. ua-cam.com/video/osN9ZcDvA9s/v-deo.html Good luck!

    I've had pain in the outside of my thigh when doing a knee extension or flexion movement, like sitting down or standing up from a chair. The harder my leg had to work, the more pain there was so doing a barbell squat or leg press caused quite a bit of pain. I'm not sure if I have Meralgia Paresthetica or not but the symptoms seem to line up. I'm going to give this a try and see if it helps. Thank you.

    • @More4Life
      @More4Life  Місяць тому +1

      The obturator nerve coming from the L2, L3, and L4 nerve roots innervates the inner thigh. I can't tell you what to do for it because I don't know the specifics of your problem, but hopefully that gets you pointed in the right direction. See a healthcare professional in your area. When I stand from a sitting position my left thigh muscle has severe pain and I can’t bear weight on my left leg. Even the act of my leg straightening when get up to stand is painful. I have to put all of my weight on my right leg and my arms that are holding me up on the table until the pain goes away and I can straighten leg and able to bear weight on it. Sometimes I’m stuck like that for a couple of minutes before I can move. I have an appointment with the neurologist this Friday. I am a nurse who walks all day and I’m afraid to sit because it’s too painful to stand. So now my feet and hips hurt too. It’s debilitating. ☹️😔

    You mention your lateral femoral nerve (outer) and your inguinal ligament (inner).
    I get terrible extremely painful spasms/cramps in the inguinal ligament area.
    Can the opposite of those exercises help with that?
    I apply heat and sometimes a tens unit to help it to stop. Not sure if that's a good idea but at that point I'd do anything!!

      If they did a cardiac catheterization, they go in through the femoral artery which is near the femoral nerve. Occasionally that can irritate the femoral nerve. Sensation may come back eventually, but unfortunately only time will tell.

    Is there a cure?

    • @More4Life
      @More4Life  5 місяців тому +4

      There are many different causes. If it's from a nerve compression, then yes. If it's from diabetes, getting blood sugar under control can help. The neve is really close to the hip joint, and I have seen people who have had it injured during a total hip replacement, and in that case, the damage can be permanent.
