look i have had burning and numbness in my skin on my thighs for over two years it almost drove me mad just a few days of doing this it is getting much better nothing has helped until this thank you for posting i have been to 2 drs i thought i would have to live with this
Glad to hear it has helped!
Forget curing my Meralgia Parasthetica, I want to know how I can get biceps like that !!!
I've been dealing with the burning thigh for years, maybe due to a hip replacement on that side. I've added 2 sets of exercises I found to my morning yoga routine, and they help, but I think this has made the most difference. At 71, I'm still sitting at the computer working from home all day. I've been surprised how much of the day I was spending bending forward. Thank you!!!
You're welcome!
Thanks for this. Helpful!
Glad it was helpful!
THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!! This has helped me and stopped the pain when I am at work standing in 1 spot. I'm so happy about this relief.
Glad it was helpful!
Literally took seconds to help me not 100% heald but good quick fix
@@kurtnbillie1945 glade it was helpful!
Thanks. Instantly relieved my pain. Must remember this.
Glad it helped!
Thanks for addressing this. I have dealt with this since my hysterectomy 15 yrs ago and when I mentioned it to the Doctor while still in the hospital, she said, oh that's normal. Never explained it and I thought it would go away. I deal with it most when I'm standing or walking for a long time. I will try your methods!
If you get it most when standing and walking, it could be from a back problem. Here's a video to address that: ua-cam.com/video/UWd0rUZqA5E/v-deo.html
Or it could also be from muscles in your outer hip: ua-cam.com/video/p7lEMwdPPbI/v-deo.html
Good luck!
Excellent information! Too the point and I'm a way that people with no medical background can understand!
Thank you!!!!!
You're welcome.
Thank you so much for this. I've looked at other videos and most of them are on the floor or laying down and because I'm having other physical issues most of those really were not something I was keen on. This one is sitting, which is perfect. I would definitely be using it. And I hope it works as well for me as it did for you. Thank you!
You're welcome, and good luck!

I pulled my lower left back driving hips back with an RDL. Have pain in that spot and now I have nerve pain entrapment down the front of my thigh only. Sit to stand, a jumping jack .. sit ups all causing massive front left thigh pain and possible a disc is pressing on nerve. I WILL try these.
These may or may not help with that kind of pain. The L3 or L4 nerve roots from the lower back would be the ones to cause front of thigh pain. Unfortunately, I can't quite tell you exactly what to do for your pain without knowing more, but this video about herniated discs vs bulging discs may be of some help in figuring it out: ua-cam.com/video/GhuG-e2djd8/v-deo.html Good luck!
Much appreciated
You're welcome
The best part of this video for me, is he is using my exact same office chair lol. Also, this is a great exercise and has helped me immensely
Glad it helped!
I try your method and it works. In addition, if I put my two hands on my inside thighs closer to my inside knees and gently push them outward to the two sides, I even feel more relaxed with my thigh pains. Thank you very much for your effective suggestions.
You're welcome. Glad it helped!
When I sleep on my back and suddenly I want to turn to my left side during sleep, I get extremely painful stabbing electricity cramp (if regular cramp pain is 4/10, this is 10/10 pain) to my right side of right thigh. I am quite a tough guy, but I almost cry each time it happens. It does not happen if I sleep on any of my sides nor during the day. It started 5 years ago just by sometimes feeling a tingling or electricity in that thigh, but now it's the worst. I workout with trainer three days a week, have active lifestyle. It happens either on soft or hard mattresses. Thank you for this video, will try if it helps me. God bless you!
If it only happens when you're on your back, you might try sleeping with a pillow under your knees. That helps keep your lower back in a neutral position and can take tension off of your hip flexors if they're tight. Here's another video about rolling over in bed that may help as well. ua-cam.com/video/osN9ZcDvA9s/v-deo.html Good luck!
@@More4Life Thank you very much, this is truly appreciated. Will take a look at the video and try the pillow method 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

Im a physical therapist ..Thank you so much It helps my meralgia Paresthetica
Glad it helped!
YOU ARE EXCELLENT!
I've had pain in the outside of my thigh when doing a knee extension or flexion movement, like sitting down or standing up from a chair. The harder my leg had to work, the more pain there was so doing a barbell squat or leg press caused quite a bit of pain. I'm not sure if I have Meralgia Paresthetica or not but the symptoms seem to line up. I'm going to give this a try and see if it helps. Thank you.
If it's mostly when doing knee flexion / extension or exerting your legs, it could also be an IT band issue. Here's a video with some tips for that problem as well. ua-cam.com/video/IwRHz710hwE/v-deo.html Good luck!
Both legs for 4 years now, but when I'm laying on my back so sleep sucks.. standing causes them to flare to bit sitting relieves it. Gets so numb a single touch hurts so bad. Neurologist told me there's no fixing it. 😂
Sorry to hear that. 4 years is a long time. I can't say to what extent these will help (or if at all), but here are 2 videos about:
Sleeping positions: ua-cam.com/video/li1NlNexcI8/v-deo.html
How to stand longer without pain: ua-cam.com/video/Ll0tojgWoUg/v-deo.html
I have electric shock burning pain but in my inner thigh. my life is really miserable. do you know the reason and what shall i do for that ?
The obturator nerve coming from the L2, L3, and L4 nerve roots innervates the inner thigh. I can't tell you what to do for it because I don't know the specifics of your problem, but hopefully that gets you pointed in the right direction. See a healthcare professional in your area. In the meantime, here's a video about possible causes of inner thigh pain: ua-cam.com/video/1llsKIGmX90/v-deo.html
I might have this i had ankle surgery last week on the outside of thigh i have a massive explosive of nerve pain which literally makes you scream out in agony burning tingling then the unbearable pain then takes ages to get your breath back so debilitating 😢
Sorry to hear that. Hope you find a solution.
When I stand from a sitting position my left thigh muscle has severe pain and I can’t bear weight on my left leg. Even the act of my leg straightening when get up to stand is painful. I have to put all of my weight on my right leg and my arms that are holding me up on the table until the pain goes away and I can straighten leg and able to bear weight on it. Sometimes I’m stuck like that for a couple of minutes before I can move. I have an appointment with the neurologist this Friday. I am a nurse who walks all day and I’m afraid to sit because it’s too painful to stand. So now my feet and hips hurt too. It’s debilitating. ☹️😔
Here's a video that addresses that very problem. ua-cam.com/video/GdOAuZ3XEqo/v-deo.html
Good luck!
You mention your lateral femoral nerve (outer) and your inguinal ligament (inner).
I get terrible extremely painful spasms/cramps in the inguinal ligament area.
Can the opposite of those exercises help with that?
I apply heat and sometimes a tens unit to help it to stop. Not sure if that's a good idea but at that point I'd do anything!!
You have to be careful with TENS in that area. This video might actually help that problem. Additionally other hip flexor stretches may help. ua-cam.com/video/KteXU8gs-bM/v-deo.html
@@Marge-ji2ic you're welcome
I woke up from a triple bypass with my left thigh being numb. That was a month ago, no improvement.
If they did a cardiac catheterization, they go in through the femoral artery which is near the femoral nerve. Occasionally that can irritate the femoral nerve. Sensation may come back eventually, but unfortunately only time will tell.
Does this also help a shaky leg
It likely will not increase leg strength. However, here's a video about things to do for weak, shaky legs: ua-cam.com/video/nHleXmq1TqI/v-deo.html
I m having burning sensation in my right thigh while sitting
But when i stand same get eliminated pls suggest
That's actually what this video is for.
since sitting on chair is unavoidable how do we reduce the pain like should we sit on cushions etc?
It depends to some extent on the specific cause of the issue, but the tips to relieve burning in thigh when sitting at 4:00 may give you some ideas to get started.
@@More4Life recently developed no pain in standing or walking.
@@TheKing-19 that's what I experienced as well. Good luck
Is there a cure?
There are many different causes. If it's from a nerve compression, then yes. If it's from diabetes, getting blood sugar under control can help. The neve is really close to the hip joint, and I have seen people who have had it injured during a total hip replacement, and in that case, the damage can be permanent.
@@More4Lifethanks for the clarification.

I am pretty sure this started after a ruptured bakers cyst in my right knee. I couldn't use it well for nearly 4 years and it threw everything out of alignment. Will try this. It's so bad that when my pants barely touch my thigh I want to cey.
Just the simple idea of flexing my ass when the pain arises has taken my pain down from a 5 to a 3 over 5 minutes.
It’s been brutal end of shift for me this last week. I have some hope.
Glad it helped
maybe take it easy on the roids
