Awesome video my friend! I think my oiler is seized up. The plastic part of the work gear won’t turn at all. The little metal circle spring that goes around the worm is all that will spin. So I know the worm is seized up or melted to the oiler. Because of your video I’m more confident at tackling this job! Thank you sir for your time and knowledge! Please keep up the excellent work my good friend!
I have one of those on the bench right now, air leaks. Hopefully just the bottom 4 screws that hold the clamshell together! Another great Vid Scott, take care!
Thanks, appreciate the video TGSR.
You gave me a great video to follow, diagnosing my fresh "rebuilt" (ms290 -> ms390) saw that is not oiling.
Thanks for watching!
Like the narrative overview; nice job

Thanks for watching and good luck with your repair!
I like the Stihl oil pump feature that only oils when the drum spins, it avoids a big mess while the saw is idling on the ground or my tailgate!
I really appreciate how clearly you illustrate and explain everything. 👍🔧

Many people overlook those screws which is too bad because tightening them is such an easy fix.
Well done thank you

What grease do you use for o-rings, needle bearing etc.?

Google "hemostat" and you'll find many sources. I think Harbor freight may be where mine came from. Thanks for watching!
