She got on the stand and still withheld information developing the sudden onset of amnesia when presented with established facts surrounding her prior testimony and tried to reframe the context around information she knew and conversations presented as clear evidence trying to manipulate the jury. I can’t see any jury buying anything she says at this point. She’s done herself a grave injustice as far as her credibility.

at no point in any of these phonecalls did she admit fault.

Have you followed this case? Leaving out the fact that she didn’t know that the person doing the bump was undercover police…what in her mind could she possibly say to police? That a polite stranger came up to her, asked her to “do the right thing” by his brother, and gave her a note with a phone number? …🤷🏻♀️

This is going to sound bad but Dan is better off in eternal rest than having to deal with this vile family. I hate that his children will have to grow up without him but who’s to say how long this man had to live…maybe another couple of months or a year. He was going to get killed bc the family was dead set on it happening. He was walking around just not knowing it. Such a tragedy and such a loss for his kids…that’s who has my true sympathy.

This may be an unpopular opinion but as this has now finally escalated to arresting and sentencing some adelsons, and spending a lot of time watching the case, I think the person who initiates a hit and the person who pulls the trigger are equally guilty BUT I can’t make sense of the ruling about those who played significant but passive roles in terms of hiring and firing. Yes even though Charlie wouldn’t have “met” the hitman and his accomplice without Katie, there should be a criminal difference between direct and indirect roles. Speaking objectively and taking my feelings about her out of it.

The case is much simpler than that. All you need to know is in the testimonies of Katie and Luis in the first trial. Remember, if Luis is telling us a pack of lies (and he is) then Katie wasn't involved
Luis was the one solicited through Charlie's drug supplier ... Charlie asks his drug dealer if he knows a hitman, word goes out, Luis puts his hand up
Serious questions have to be asked over Sigfredo's involvement. We can't just assume he was a willing participant or even knew Luis' intentions on both the first and second trips

Sounds like poor Katie is clueless that Charlie Adelson ordered the hit via Rivera (his LK drug connection). But, even more clueless that Rivera failed to get the job done (x2 at least - 2013 and JUNE 2014) and thus, (he) enlisted his BFF. And, that (his) BFF since childhood coincidentally happens to be Garcia. *And, or Charlie is aware that Rivera (and Garcia) routinely make trips to Tallahassee and his sister in Tallahassee has a 'problem' and he assists Wendi to meet one or the other in person in Tallahassee. Charlie sounds worried. Katie does not. At best she sounds worried FOR Charlie. The only reason she may even feel obligated to 'help' is because someone used her family's name to "scare/intimidate/extort" money from her friend. The only reason she doesn't even immediately go to Garcia is because from her perception he isn't even involved so why bother? Why upset him about a 'problem' Charlie is having and not them. And, she has NO idea that Charlie & Rivera were initially involved … so she never even thinks to (EASILY) get a hold of Rivera. Or, even Jessica. And, if she did reach out to them just to double check some LK isn't using the situation of an unsolved crime to extort money from the family; because remember it's in the papers back in Tallahassee that 'it was due to a divorce' then what does Katie sound like in those phone conversations …. confused/just checking?! No evidence showing Katie EVER reached out to Rivera …. impossible/not very likely she's involved? Because if she was …. wouldn't she have KNOWN that Rivera was HIRED and Rivera was supposed to kill DAN back in June 2014? If anything … Jessica seems to KNOW more than Katie …. when Garcia is arrested. Even appears she's aware that Katie is being wire tapped. *Because the only time Katie seems upset is when Jessica makes a demand (?) It happened because of You and Charlie and everyone knows. *And, notice Jessica doesn't say 'the dentist' … she says 'Charlie'. She knows Charlie.
IDK - but, certainly another possibility. [Just listening to the evidence presented thus far.]
Can't believe I felt so bad for the ex wife Wendi. While the city and local police were blaming her entire family including Wendi (and at the time without knowing/releasing evidence). At first she gets divorced; from what appears to be a miserable marriage, then her ex is murdered. (So does that make her a widow?) Her boys are now fatherless. And, if LE was correct she would soon have to realize her own brother; her son's uncle … and possibly her own mother were responsible for her boy's being fatherless?! And, they would go to prison and not be a part of her/their lives. An, unbelievable nightmare.
And, combined with LE was obligated/forced to pretend 'unsolved' - with no details/evidence to support their theory and the case was growing cold. Not to mention there was known gang like activities going on near the Adelson kid's child day care center and the local park in their neighborhood; around the corner from their house. (Ironically, involving same type cars.) But, no one knew at the time it was only a rental. As fate would have it.
But, the real FATE is Jeffrey leaving town a day early. (And, not telling Wendi.) Or, perhaps if he had mentioned it …. would the murder plot have been thwarted once again. The guilt he must carry not saying/doing anything with that knowledge … in time. I'm sure eventually he would have. As the reality of it all (including a faked 'relationship') settled in.
And, no wonder the local newspaper was 'allowed' to print what they did about the homicide without ever offering hard evidence to support their theory. They couldn't. Only in due time.
