Not being able to choose conversation options: Obviously, it's because you didn't have enough paragon or renegade points. Tip to boost the amount you get at every opportunity, though - when you level up enough to use some points on your character sheet, start with the class, not the abilities. When you spend points on the class upgrades, it increases the amount of paragon and renegade points you get from everything that gives them to you. Conversation choices, interrupts, everything. Spending level up points as soon as you can on the cheapest option is a valid way to level up your character. Just, when they're all at the same level, pick the class upgrade first so you can get the conversation options.
I always find that first room in the Pragia Facility slightly amusing. "Hope the Illusive Man doesn't find out! Better not tell the Illusive Man... Hope the Illusive Man doesn't find out! Better not tell the Illusive Man..." on repeat as soon as Shepard approaches the terminal. I guess the Illusive Man must not have known.
"I'm just playing the game, and you're here for the ride." EXACTLY!! I wish people would remember this. This is not a pick-your-own-adventure as a viewer.
I have never seen someone not have a paragon or renegade option when splitting the fight between Miranda and Jack. Interesting how this goes 😮 If it wasn't obvious any person you don't side with during that fight if you don't have a paragon or renegade will not be loyal, including Jack.
You can talk to them later and use a paragon or renegade to gain loyalty back. I didn't have Mirandas loyalty in ME2 cause of this and you can guess how that ended
If you happen to have a romance going with Miranda at the time of this encounter and you side with Jack, even if you recover Miranda's loyalty, the romance is off for the rest of the game.
@steliokontos3935 That's interesting to know. I'm currently in the middle of my first playthrough with Miranda. I have always stayed as neutral as possible during that confrontation, so it's always interesting seeing people make choices I don't make. I'm curious to see how a non-loyal playthrough turns out (assuming that they remain unloyal).
@@ScottishScrub Really seems like you should be able to side with Jack, then quietly reason with Miranda later, telling her you only sided with Jack to keep her onside, mainly because Jack is emotional and irrational, whereas Miranda is more rational and would appreciate it as a tactic.
Trust me, with that Krogan, you did the right thing. You listen longer and the prompt stays for as long as the speech goes. You hear the other stuff he says after and you would have done it anyway. As for Miranda and Jack situation, you can go back to Miranda later once your paragon or renegade gets to a high level and convince her to get her loyalty back by talking to her later.
Please talk to Jack and Mordin in your next video. I think their personal missions aren't over until you talk to them afterwards. It really ties everything together.
@pagan_plays just noticed my wording. Yes, the mission is over, you get their loyalty from the mission, the chat afterwards doesn't finish the mission. I meant that it's the best part of finishing their missions. The character development is amazing in these games, and the chat afterwards is like a conclusion to their personal story arc.
Nice to see someone picking what they want in the moment and not caring what the repercussions are down the road and that includes ME3. You might come to regret that later and might not, but what remains of ME2 and your playthrough of ME3 will be interesting. Thank you for sharing your journey.
These videos are just so much fun! I said this last week but again, you make choices i never would so we get to see a completely different side of the game. I love it!
I love that you don't play the same way I played because I never knew you could lose the loyalty of a crewmember 😂 so thanks for making the hard choices! BTW Jack's romance is so underrated.
Yes you can find Eezo on planets though it is rare, my advice if you see even a flicker of it on a planet focus on just finding all the Eezo, it is used for upgrading biotic and tech powers.
There is a lot of Element Zero on planets in the solar system where Jack's mission was, but you can find it anywhere - usually on planets that look more "green" with vegetation. It has much smaller signal area so you have to be thorough. - Scott
People had a love hate relationship with the Mako, so the Hammerhead was basically a DLC bone to those people who wanted to drive something. It does end in a proper mission though.
Bummer, you missed one of the best dialogue sequences in the game by not going into the other room and talking with Mordin about the female krogan corpse. First rule of Mass Effect, explore every room, no matter how small. There are lots of planets with EEZO, usually smaller planets, often the green ones, for some reason. There's probably about 100K worth of EEZO you can pick up from planet scanning. When krogans talk about quads they're not talking about your thighs, they're talking about the number of testicles, basically like us saying you've got balls. If you level up operative and choose the 100% bonus to paragon/renegade you may be able to talk to Miranda again and make her loyal again, though the game may only give you one change and you've used it already, I'm not sure. Having as many squadmates loyal as possible is beneficial, but also not absolutely essential.
@1:11:00 you actually missed a female krogan corpse to inspect and it expands even more the conversation with Mordin about the Genophage (before meeting the sick krogan). Really interesting.
I think a lot of people miss that the Krogan rebellions were thousands of years ago, something like 2 Krogan lifespans, but more like 50+ Salarian lifetimes. Even if Mordin didn't take part in modifying the genophage, plenty of others would. I can't see how anyone could believe the Krogans would somehow be peacenicks if there was no genophage. Would have been worse due to overpopulation.
1:25 Hi, I'm good. Good week. Nothing crazy happened. Thanks! What you readin' now?? Yeah, your team does look good but I'd be remiss if I didn't say "YOU look so good!" Also, your reaction to the Hammerhead is amazing! I loved that thing.
Element Zero you can find on planets but it is rare. Their is starcharts you can buy or and upgrade you can research (can't remember which) that will reveal a couple of each resources type in the Galaxy Map. As for Jack, I didn't romance how be we had a no strings attached fling 👀 Because I couldn't romance Samara, I romanced Miranda. Gotta love a strong dominant women in leather 😂 The hammerhead tank missions for the most part become repeative and stale fast. Don't forget to check you Assignment tab in the Journal which has side missions too.
I'm always surprised how many players avoid that Renegade interrupt with the krogan. I mean... it's fairly obvious that you're going to have to kill him anyway. Burned to death with an exploding gas tank, or burned to death with incendiary ammo? No contest. Take the Renegade action, and get the points! 😁
You missed quite a bit in Mordin's mission. You're looking at a side room here 1:11:21 where there is a Krogan female body with a sheet over it. Mordin examines her, sees that she was a volunteer for the experiments. Died from them. I've watched a few other reactors to this game. Most of them tear up at this point. I can't do it justice, so I won't write what he and Shepard say to each other, but I hope you find some way to watch it so we can see your reaction to it. I love Mass Effect. I love watching people experience the amazing characters and story for the first time. It was a shame that you missed out on seeing Mordin's best scene in this game.
So you’ve finally found the Hammerhead. I absolutely loathe that thing. Not only are the Firewalker missions rather dull, but when there is combat you discover just how paper-thin the regenerating armor is-and seriously, *regenerating* armor? I miss the Mako. However, the Hammerhead is included in the Omega side mission (a mission that should not be missed). I knew Jack’s story would hit you hard, Pagan. It is a fascinating but terrible story. There is more to Jack’s story, but it is in a place you haven’t been yet. I’ve never seen Miranda’s loyalty disappear before. I’m curious to see if that causes a problem later for a specific event. By the way, Pagan. You can romance same sex in the ME games. It just has to be certain characters. Also, yes, you can find element zero (Eezo) on planets, but it is a very rare element. There is a way to find Eezo rich planets, but you’ll figure it out. 1:06:07 Pagan: “That was all me.” Me: You learned that from Zaheed. Keep going, Pagan. We’re all counting on you. *Fun fact:* When a Krogan says quads, he doesn’t mean quadriceps, he means testicles-Krogan have four.
You forgetting the name of your video game had me laughing! And you just continue like nothing! 😂😂😂 Another Pagan Page update: still on ACoMaF. A little past halfway through!

yeah I think that's my plan now, I'll try build more paragon so I don't lose her loyalty altogether
Please talk to Jack and Mordin in your next video. I think their personal missions aren't over until you talk to them afterwards. It really ties everything together.
oh I absolutely will! thank you!

yes i agree... its really interesting to see different outcomes of conversations 🙂and also not have Wrex in game anymore... keep up good work Pagan 🤪
i wish I could romance jack! Maybe I'll play as a male Shepard next time!

That renegade interrupt on the Krogan is so evil and unexpected in the way in pans out.

ah thanks Jeff!! I am currently on the 3rd book of Crescent City series by Sarah J Maas! I'm obsessed! lol.

it was a pretty cool interrupt!
I ❤ NY & NY ❤ PAGAN. outstanding episode as anticipated #PAGANROCKS❤❤❤❤
Great job commander 🫡
Actually I've never seen the game without Miranda. It will cut out some of the side missions in ME3!! Cool :)
We’ll see! I might be able to get her loyalty back
Yaaa❤

oh my goodnes I can't believe I missed it
By the way, Jack pouts as well if you take Miranda's side.
Ah fair
While Jack's outfit may look cool, unfortunately the visor hides her beautiful expressive eyes, which is a pity especially at her personal quest.

Humm yea, you can try to fix that or Miranda dies later... Just as well I guess according to you :)
I was gonna comment regardless but when you return to Tuchanka in ME3: BE RENEGADE
Indeed. Krogans respect straight talk and badass lines. You see a renegade prompt you take it.
@ that’s not why
How about she does whatever she wants? Why even say as much as you did? You spoiled AND backseated in the same sentence. Congratulations.
@@curlywhites
@ she probably will do her own thing anyways as I did also recommend her to date Thane first and then Garrus only for her to date Garrus first anyways
You forgetting the name of your video game had me laughing! And you just continue like nothing! 😂😂😂
Another Pagan Page update: still on ACoMaF. A little past halfway through!
hhaha lol! YAY! enjoy the rest of ACOMAF!! you're in for a wild ride
for the records: i never liked miranda
I liked her when I romanced her as male Shep. She's vulnerable and you see her softer side. Otherwise I agree with you!
I was just wondering that....
