I love Mordin, such a great group of characters in this game. Don't worry about making 'bad' decisions, there are no bad decisions when you're the Commander - it's your world, we're just witnessing! Great video!
Tip: To avoid missing things, keep an eye on anything that has a reticle attached to it when you get within about 5m. You can even use the triggers to look at the next closest thing to your right or left. It's especially useful when there's multiple things close together, or just behind something, and the game keeps thinking you want to look at the other thing.
This is a great length. I'm enjoying this more than most modern movies, so I'm appreciating the 2 hours+ videos. You can't get bored watching this unfold, and your reactions to things is equally entertaining! lol
Hey Pagan, you should build up your "incinerate" power and map it to a quick button. When a power is mapped you don't have to bring up the power wheel, just aim at the enemy while in combat and hit the quick button. Same for squad mates. Incinerate is good for most enemies and powers are unlimited, you just have to wait for them to recharge, so they're nice to use in conjunction with guns and when you run out of ammo. You also walked right by Zaeed in the first hallway on Omega. 😆 - Scott
39:58 Flirting with Kelly won't affect your other romance, she'll even offer to feed your fishes once you invite her to your cabin. She's like a fling or side-romance so feel free to flirt away.
Yeah, it's really easy to forget to feed them, so getting Kelly up to your cabin before buying all the fish is probably a good idea. I think you have to have some fish in there for her to offer to feed them, though.
There's *SO MANY* incredible characters in this series, but Mordin is probably my favourite... ... Well aside from YOU KNOW WHO, PAGAN! But even still it's probably Mordin. Love him.
For when you get the option, fly to and scan (mine) every planet that you can for resources. It is dull (you can literally spend hours just mining the planets) to do, but that is the main way you will get the stuff to do your upgrade to gear and the Normandy. Also, Zaeed was literally standing by the door into Omega. And don't forget to do the shopping for your crew. 😉
Loving the long videos! It's incredible how much of an improvement was made between 1 and 2. I think pretty much everyone had your same reaction when we realized we actually move the Normandy through space for travel! Little side note from Pagans Pages, I started Acotar 😅
Love you making your own choices. Especially when you do something others might avoid !! Just make sure you do all the missions; don't hurry to the end. Word to the wise LOL. There's a lot to do and see in this game! This is my favorite of the series. Also good that you have squad powers set to "All". That's best for a beginner. Too many people leave it at "Defensive Only", then wonder why their squad isn't helping with their powers. Otherwise, you have to manually control your squad powers, which is a lot of work when you're already busy trying to stay alive !
Glad you enjoyed the New Zealand Whitaker's Chocolate. Something you may be interested to know about Paragon/renegade is the availability of choices depends on the amount of paragon/renegade points available to you up to that point in the game. So if you do a mission early in the game the P/R score necessary to make a red or blue choice will be low, but if you do the same mission later in the game the P/R score to get the same choice options will be higher. Your class ability gives you a multiplier to your P/R score, if you choose the 100% bonus at level 4 it gives you more flexibility in the choices you make as you can get to higher P/R score sooner. If you want to worry less about paragon and renegade choices then getting your class ability to max early makes that easier. Aaand that's not how quantum entanglement really works, but it sounds cool for sci-fi purposes.
Good to see you using both the Paragon AND the Renegade interrupts (i.e. the Left and Right trigger moments). The devs added these into the game specifically so that those who play the game as mostly Paragon could still take the occasional Renegade action when it was appropriate (and vice versa). Obviously, there's no need to trigger them all if you don't want to, but if you avoid one or the other completely, you can miss out on some of the best moments in the game. Keep having fun!
It can also have big consequences further in the game and even in ME3, so don't automatically press them just because you can. Being renegade to bad guys is pretty much always fine, and being paragon with your squadmates is usually a good thing, as a baseline. But make sure you're "reading the room" when you trigger them.
a great vid loved your reaction to the SR2 Normandy. I personally love the leather dress and the hoodie, the outfit that you picked is used mainly for science and medical officers.
Playing any choice that seems best to you is the best way! It's your Shepard and there are lots of ways to go. Success depends on your crewmates! Take care of them...Good Luck!
Video length: Long videos are great. Just warning you that the resource collecting part of this game is time consuming. You haven't gotten to it yet, but it might be a good idea to use some editing magic when you decide to go on a resource collecting session. The resources are what you use for upgrades and equipment unlocks, among other things, so unlocking them will make it easier to play the game. You can upgrade weapons, armour, shields, health, and more. Unlock everything you can, because they can benefit your squadmates as well.
As someone who has played ME2 multiple times over the years and knows what is in store for you, I am really enjoying how much you are enjoying this, Pagan. I’m really interested to see which of the characters are going to be your favorites. I love Ken and Gabby (I always stop by engineering after a mission to listen to them chat). I was really hoping you would go after Archangel first, Pagan, but it’s OK--we’ll get there. I see you did buy the alien porno mag, though. Shameful. 🤣 Keep going, Pagan. We’re all counting on you.
@@evanflynn4680 Personally, I did what the Quarian in the bar on Illium complains about. I went after Tali because "I wonder what she looks like under the suit."
I bet you will replay the trilogy just to discover how the story could be with Wrex. And I know it because my first wrex died too. Finishing the last game I couldn´t stop thinking about his dead so I decided to play it one more time. And trust me is worth it. You try male Shepard and try his romances. So feel free to make any mistake and kill everyone, You´re already destined to play it one more time.
Mass Effect 2 - Look at these brief pieces of information about the new features on the Normandy with more than enough time to read them Also Mass Effect 2 - You can't read the entirety of game introduction in 3 seconds? TOO BAD!
Also if i remember from the first episode, didn't you switch off auto level up ? , if so you need to attend to that and spend your points or you are going to fall behind the power curve vis a vis enemies
Idk if it was made clear yet. Cerberus was originally a sect of the alliances research division but was severed due to shepards actions in the first games side missions (a decently lengthed set of side quests) which involved unethical experiments (they ever are the ones behinf Shepards Akuze incident before the first game) and are human mega racist supremicists terrorists who would rather kill all alien species than be seen as equal to them
If it wasn`t made clear yet, then she doesn't need to know. She only knows what her Shepard knows. There was a reason why there were different dialog options as to whether and to what extent she knows the name Cerberus.
@Honkeydoodle this stuff is barely explained in this game. It's all revealed in content she skipped last game. After the intro point it's not really talked about in any further detail. They basically say the same 4 points on repeat that have all been said. A big part being the entire fact that, in game, they never really explain it to Shephard because the entire story in mass effect 2 Cerberus lore wise is based off having done the side missions in the first game. She even explicitly chose the option of "whose cerberus" and the response is basically "You know who we are. Quit playin" and they move on The exact atrocities they commit are explained in this game, hence why I didn't actually say any, but they already expect you to know cerberus are supremacist terrorists and why Tali basically says you should know better
Yes, that's one more reason why she doesn't need to know. But I don't know now whether she did the missions and just can't remember them or whether she hasn't even come across Cerberus yet and the events you mentioned didn't even take place here. I'm assuming the latter all the time, and then I think it's okay to leave it at not knowing. But well, I also think you can tell her, it wouldn't be a spoiler or anything.
@Honkeydoodle she skipped all the cerberus stuff in ME1, and everything I explained is the stuff they explained IN Mass effect 1 and expect you to know at the start of this game. The Akuze thing as well is brought up in 1 mission in the first game and then never mentioned again in 2 or 3. Nothing is spoiled game wise, just all stuff the game assumes you already know and expands on later rather than explaining it. Like the intro expects you to have some animosity towards Cerberus already and leans into that. Everyone in the game already knows cerberus is evil, even Shephard, BUT Pagan didn't as they made a missable mission set in me1 plot essential for understanding parts of 2s main story
I love Mordin, such a great group of characters in this game. Don't worry about making 'bad' decisions, there are no bad decisions when you're the Commander - it's your world, we're just witnessing! Great video!

The first Normandy was the SR1. It's like the numbers modern warships have on their bows.
