Our first build on an island, would work great as a sea outpost to deliver resources. Has 3 docks and plenty of room for more plus a castle tower design for overlook that has a portal room. If you are struggling to replicate this build, we have our save files available on our Discord.

The tower looks so good I love it !
The only problem with this kind of build is that during the first storm water level raises so much you find out half you build is sunken 😭
Luckily water doesn't break wood. Then again, you can find an island, make a storehouse, then make a quarry elsewhere and just eat stone and feed it in.
@@anthonyzullo the damage is not a problem, but immersion breaking interior during storms, and if you want to avoid that, you'd have to rise the ground to atleast half of the tower height. It's really annoying :( only way to make it playable is actually devcommands>env clear

@@MrKrystian1992 For coastal builds I always build on a lake near the coast, and then dig a canal from the lake to the ocean if they're not already connected. Lakes don't get giant waves like islands do during storms, not even your dock will get submerged in storms.
The masters! Just building using the materials as intended and then love the way you just jam pack your build with a ton of beauty and style! Inspirational.
Something very satisfying about seeing a little viking feverishing flatten some ground in fast motion.
This build is astonishing! I love the design details, the wood and stones in the tower are in fantastic harmony. It's so inspiring. You get 6/5 stars 🌟 for this creation.
It's a great build. I will say that with no roof over the tower means no rest (in a non-modded server flooring =/= roof). I would have topped that off with a conical roof. Also (again in vanilla) all that wood is going to rot since it's exposed to the elements. I still think the tower itself was extremely creative!
I hate where wood rots. Even when it rains it destroys everything i build. In real life, wood does not rot in one day and fall apart so i have no idea why wood does in this game.

You can build a roof indoors, under the floor, and now you get rest.
You can hide a roof within the top floor level and then only the very top open to the elements deteriorates.

So...for me, I found the process of finding the spot, and manipulate the terrain quite important.
The beauty of terraforming 04:18 is on par with the beauty of the building itself.
Anyone can say that the island could be just a random spot on the map, but I choose to believe that Vett picked this one on purpose. It's not right in the middle of the ocean. There're trees in the background, there's mountain also in some angles. All of these makes the build a good build.
@Arch G. I agree. And great videos man. One thing I have observed is that as you explore and sail around close too islands or in between a host of islands where you can see them all, sometimes you do find, see a patch of land that is possible to build on the tower at least. But it leave some room to terraform to some degree a little. Some land cropping are barely above the waves and all are possible to do some small amount of terraforming to build an ocean habitat. You can find much just exploring on the seas. It's just finding it close to the right Biome.
this is one of the best valheim build videos on youtube currently. I adapted the build to have a roof made of 2 cross shapes, one on top of the other for full shelter and it looks very clean. I also used iron gates to reinforce the stone perimeter, the gates are completely hidden.

This game blows my mind. It's 2021 and this game is the only this that feels like 2021. It's so magically complex and perfect that I try not to think about it too much because I think my head would explode

Looks amazing like all your other builds! :D Only thing i ever dislike about your builds, is that there are often wood without cover, so they're taking water damage looks bad when it rains :/ Wish they would add a possibility to use oil or some shiz on wood, so they become resistant to water ^^

@Dyanosis ... honestly im shocked at this response to me mentioning a mod that doesnt make the wood look ugly. We've already payed for the game, why not make something that I already like more enjoyable? Everyone is gonna have parts of a game they dont like, and if it's getting in the way then why not alter it to fit your tastes, thats not ruining a game? If people wanna mod let them, they're fun to do and have, especially for people who dont have the time or motivation to make a whole new game

Many games, stay viable long past their shelf lives via mods. I get the impression you speak of modding as if it is some form of Piracy .. Again your opinion and I could not disagree more strongly.
IMHO modding make strong communities with gravity to the games they play/support. This equates directly into more sales for the developer. Which in turn offers higher probability of more patch / updates from said development team.. There are many real world examples of this modding windfall for companies. The majority of the games that have the highest lifetime and sales are due to modding.
I mean honestly just mentioning Minecraft, Skyrim, or Terraria show how valid/helpful modding communities are for games.. and FYI these are some of the highest sold games ever. There are thousands of indie games that get more shelf life out of their respective modding communities.
@Dyanosis the chapter mods for banished where made by the devs themselves and some extra people. Although I mostly play vanilla on all games I play, some mods just make your life easier. The thing is most devs like the modding community.

Oh man, this game is for me. Im not sure what else this game is about, but when it comes to building and decorating structures, then Im your man. Also, I dont know where this music comes from, but whoever wrote this is worthy of composing for the big screen. This sounds as if it was made by Hans Zimmer. I love what you built here, and now I have to see to it that I save up for a decent computer and get myself this game.

Never had an interest in Valheim. Happened to watch a Markiplier video where he played Valheim and got this recommendation. Now I'm subscribed and trying to figure out how soon I can buy the game and make a house like this.

Everything looks good, all up to the moment it rains and all the wood rots.
I have no idea how you get stone to behave the way you do. Between your OG mountain tower and this, I've NEVER been able to get decent circles out of stone. Fantastic job
Worst case you can use the wood beams first, use those as snap points for the stone. Some of it might overlap but if you use the wood beams itll hlep.
I’ve watched this about a dozen times and figured it out in game. the trick is each layer alternates between 2+2,2+2,2+2... and 2+1+1,2+1+1,2+1+1... this lets the 2 block stones directly overlap a seam without ever misaligning.
the amount of sstone needed for this is astronomical
I've put a roof on top ... problems solved and looks even better.
They should make this game into a rts game that may use your templated regular-game structures.

hey can you put a matierials count into the descrition for specific parts or just in general of the build. I really like it but i don't like leaving things half finished to go gather more resources in survival.
I'm just wondering what location on the map warrants such an epic building! Super cool
If you just have fun sailing around the world map from wherever you are already, you will find places like this or tiny patch islands or patch of lands to build on. You will also notice areas of land off the coast that are at a very shallow level as the ocean rise and fall that are possible to drop a wood beam, stone pillar on to build as a start. Be vigilant and observe as you explore.
...and if you build it by the swamp, you can take potshots at the freaks, from the roof-top for kicks

Oh I wish it showed how you built the stairs leading to the roof of the tower.
Right....they never fully show how the interior gets done sometimes....
We would love to but we struggle with editing interior as it gets changed constantly down to preference. Meaning there will be so much messy footage to edit! We have the save available on the Discord so you can see how it was put together.
