Vice City might be a small Map. But it's very beautiful. Like I always say. "Bigger Gifts are in Smaller boxes" Vice City is just fun. And no drama. Where you get sad. Lol
I like how easy it is to remember where to go. I like San Andreas, but even at the time, I felt that this game needed an GPS system.
San Andreas has a kind of boring theme but gta 3 I can play for hours and so can I San Andreas and Vice city. Despite the theme in gta San Andreas I find it cool they thought to add hairstyles, clothes shops,and car tuning. Also San Andreas storyline has a deep message that revolves around family and friends where as 3 is just like you are a fetcher. Vice city is pretty much also fetching but a bit more friendship and a great unique feeling and cool features we first saw like helicopters.
Renagadde IKR yeah if Claude could talk the game would be revolutionary for its time and it would add more emotion from Claude so we could see what he was thinking.
@@DaRealYungRay Claude is a cold-blooded bloodthirsty killer, him having not talk is badass, his actions speaks volumes.
@@vicvega24 Yeah looking back at my comment 2 years later, i played the game 2 more times after this. To be honest claude talking would have no purpose considering that he really had nobody to talk to. wheras tommy had many friends, and bosses who for a minute he actually had a solid relationship with.
It would be stupid if Rockstar put Claude newspaper in GTA Vice City because heist happaned in 2001, while GTA Vice City is set in 1986

I always love comments like this, because you can always tell it's from little kids. You may play Vice City now and think "wow these graphics suck", but back when it came out, guess what? They were good. That was the standard back then. No one was playing Vice City at the time of its release and thinking "the gameplay is good, but the graphics aren't".
Mike Oxlong um what? All i said was developers back in with ps2 didnt put much effort into graphics but with only story, and i did think the graphics were good ,like Metal gear solid 3 ,idk what u on ,but the only kid here is your brain.

Hilarious comeback, you got me good there. Exactly, your entire point was that they didn't focus on graphics, but the fact of the matter is, developers have always been trying to push the boundaries of a system's graphical capabilities. Games like Resident Evil on the PS1 were ground breaking for their graphics. You seem to be comparing the graphics back then, to the graphics we have now, which is just silly.
I wasnt comparing todays graphics to back thens, i grew up on Nintendo 64 with Mario ,then after that, i moved to ps1 and got one of those first ever spidermans , i remember going from 64 to ps1 was a jump way to big, i have to admit, i always thought gta san andreas had the best graphics xD.. I was like .. Woahhhh look at the cars bend xD

That Claude newspaper actually is from GTAIII, so I think it's just leftover code rather than ever being intended to appear in Vice City and then being scrapped.
I dont think they put the Claude newspaper in Vice City, because the bank robbery at the start of GTA 3, was set around the late 90's (possibly around 1997 or 98 one of the two) and Vice City is set in the 80's, so it wouldn't have made sense according to the timeline. But I absolutely adore the Easter eggs, that are featured across the GTA series.
Joe Collins the heist is set in 2001, along with the rest of the game
GTA 3 was the only game (of the 3d universe) that was set on the current timeline... Others were in the past like-
Vice city- '86
VC stories- '84
San Andreas- '92
Liberty city stories- '98
GTA 3 is set in 2001. Liberty City Stories is set in 1998.

Vice City remains my all-time favorite game. I played it on a friend's Playstation, and when it came out on Xbox, I was in heaven. Having grown up in the 1980s, I never ceased to marvel at the details of this game. The licence plates on the cars, for example, were based on the 1979-86 design, while the cars are non-copyright versions of real-life counterparts. The Deluxo was always one of my favorites and it was nice to see it again. I also loved to take a Bloodring Banger and drive that on city streets. I designed and wore a Love Fist tour shirt just for fun, and occasionally I'd see people do double-takes and freak out when they realized what the shirt said. Finally, I liked the scope of this game more than San Andreas, which was so big and had so many missions that I'd get bored and never finish it. I'm not much of a gamer, but Vice City was the perfect game for me. Finally, The Simpsons ran a couch gag a few years ago that had more than a few similarities to Vice City (as well as Miami Vice and other fun 80s shows). It's funny and worth checking out. There's crazy details in this too, such as the use of the Bell 222 helicopter, the helicopter used in the show Airwolf.

Squidward Testicles with gta 5 they focused heavily on the online mode and the single player experience was fun but extremely short compared to San Andreas which was an insanely detailed and fun experience

Just a heads up the "silenced colt" is really a magnum pistol with a long barrel. Also there was a desert eagle and a snubnose revolver also cut in game.

This is my all time favourite GTA. The map is perfect IMO. Not too big, but not too small like Liberty City. The soundtrack, the atmosphere, the story and the physics. I just love this game.

Great stuff! PC version lifts this game to totally different level. I still own the original PS2 version that I bought back in the day. There was some tal about the Easter eggs on PS2 there was a very little change to explore since there was no mods. In addition if the guy from GTA 3 would have robbed bank and got in jail in 1986 he would have been a lot older.
I was looking for cut content on VC since I got it just a while back with my Christmas money. Thanks zac!

Got vice city when I was 6! Doing a play through of San andreas remastered on Xbox 360 before I leave for basic training and it's the first time I've played without cheats !!!

7:11 That's not a "silenced Colt". It's actually a .475 Wildey auto pistol, a very cool magnum power hand gun that was first sold in the mid eighties. I wish Rockstar had used this as the top hand gun instead of the Colt Python.
I agree with you about the other changes. Most of them were for the better.
btw, I have the Vice City "Lance Vance" poster from Gamepro magazine on my wall and it's the "old" black shirt version of Lance. He never really looked "correct", now I know why.

Don't know if you were right about he silenced Colt, but the icon for it is actually an awesome weapon called the Wildey Magnum. It fired .45 Winchester Magnum, so basically a .44 Magnum pistol, and was gas operated like the Desert Eagle. Would have been an awesome in game weapon.
