Hey my brother my name is Michael Hunter and I play the trumpet, I have worked with your father on a few occasions the most memorable for me was the tribute to Miles we did at "Catalina Bar and Grill" the gig wasn't particularly a tribute but the song we played was from the "on the corner" album if you have seen it that's me if not check it out on UA-cam ok The heading for the video is "Michael Henderson tribute to Miles Davis "on the corner at Catalina Bar and grill. After that hit I ended up playing a tribute to Wayne Shorter before he past at Vibrato's anyway let me know what you think they never put my name as the trumpet but that's understandable ok Great to see you supporting your father 😊💯🙏
Legend! I’m honored! I’m going to repost that one actually I’ll make sure to give proper credit! If you see anything missing please let me know and I’m More than happy to fix it up! 📌❤️ much love my man and thank you! How was the experience ?
@MichaelHendersonmusic It was or ended up more than I could imagine, I was on the freeway going to San Diego and your father called me and said "You know that was a great solo" or something to that nature and continued talking to me for an hour while I was driving so I stopped driving and parked he was so inspired, a few days later the drummer Raymond called me and said "Hey man Michael is trying to put a band together to take this out on the road" so basically your father was running my name down to the ultimate musicians he was very connected with and that alone gave me so much courage and enthusiasm period and to this day I am honored and proud to have been apart of history with one of if not the most sought after bass players in the business of music, Thank you Brother for what you're doing and reaching out you are the blessing 🙏
@ man! I love hearing these stories it means everything, I should have the website up in a couple months and I want to highlight everyone my dad has worked with and even those he inspired. Spread the word if there are any with videos that do not see credit or just want to reach out.. I’ll be putting all tributes etc up in a nice way that also promotes you guys also. Much love and I’m honored to even be able to do this 📌❤️
It's great to see these clips of how the musicians got together. I started with Michael Henderson's album In The Night Time, then started collecting all of his albums. I eventually began exploring Miles Davis because of Michael's work with him. They were both fantastic musicians.
@@jmcbeady8210 thank you! Much more to come, website coming soon, never before seen music video and also a new albulm. We are going to keep the legacy going and show it in new ways never before seen. He deserves it and a lot more
1973 gets a lotta deserved talk, but MAN the Euro tour of Fall 1971 is just...I can't find the right words, POWERFUL? JAMMY? etc. Just go and hear any of it. The bass is just DRIVING this music, and Miles sounds like Hendrix at times, never mind Jarrett and Bartz shredding and the percussionists freaking going OFF!
Albums that your father made in the night time is my favorite and my favorite one that he produced was the drama 5 album for The Dramatics. Your daddy was a bad man!!!

Your father was a great man. I met him a few times, when he was in Chicago. He's deeply missed, and thanks for sharing these videos
Ty for watching ❤️
