Most are, a chiropractor will at least do something. Anything. An herbalist may prescribe something that may or may not work. A doctor will blast you with radiation or scans that may show something or nothing but most dont then prescribe a drug that may work but with side effects or do surgery which will physically take something away from you and change your life forever. An orthodontist will give you something to make you literally better. A doctor is a drug dealer you have to convince to get the exact right drug.

Steroids mess up the body, but they don't cause h. pylori and fungal infections. Antibiotics DO cause those problems. Drinking too much water during a meal messes up the ph of your stomach and makes digestion less optimal but it doesn't destroy your microbiome. Think about, anti+biotics, antilife medicine. We require a healthy gut biome to be well, antibiotics kill the good and bad bacteria. His problems literally make perfect sense for the sequence he described. There is lots of medical research to look up about it.

Holy shit everyone. Yes, steroids are bad for the health, but they do NOT cause the problems he has. Antibiotics are very well known to directly cause all of these problems. Please pull your heads out of your asses and do some research. I would love to hear an actual scientist talk about how steroids may have contributed to his problems, they likely did, but they DID NOT cause them. It's not even that hard to understand, antibiotics kill all the bacteria, good and bad, and we require them to live. The actual mechanisms are super complex, but the basic idea is simple, and totally accounts for his problems. I am also against steroids use, but for the actual problems it causes, like shrunken nuts, mood disorders, and increased risk of heart disease and other crap. But just because steroids are bad, it doesn't make them cause all health problems. They cause some problems, antibiotics cause other problems, junk food causes other problems. Being specific in your thinking is good.

I understand the point you are trying to make. Antibiotics are far worse for bacteria than steroids. I just think if he wasn't on the gear, he might have been able to tolerate the antibiotics without this crazy complication. Maybe I'm wrong , I don't know. But for him to jump back on the juice is insanity. Health is wealth.

I'm sorry but i gotta answer you man, you're saying steroids didn't cause his problems but after that you listed all the problems that they can bring to our body...ok...they are not small problems! Do you understand this? Steroids are bad, they enhance our body in an abnormal way which is not natural! But everyone makes their own choices and whoever takes steroids, sooner or later, has to deal with this kind of problems that's it! It's not necessary a scientist to tell you this, don't believe to everything you read on internet.

I think the problem is that Gordon is too stubborn to listen to sound medical advice when he gets it, dismissing what doctors tell him as "useless", while GSP actually listened and took time off when he needed to, and his career was no worse off for it.

@@BestWayKilla That's a fair argument. I don't know what Gordon was thinking, but that's a reasonable assumption based on what he said in that clip. That said, medicine IS actively bad at many things, like autoimmune disease, fungal infections, and a bunch of other stuff. Medical implants have caused immense suffering because profit incentive got a bunch of poorly stuff put in people's bodies. We do have to be our primary caregiver and not give our absolute trust to any institutution, especially one with a giant sea of malpractice. Even without bad intentions, they simply don't understand everything, not even close.

Too much training intensity initially lowers immune system(esp in high test men),whatevr peds he takes compromises it that much more. Exposed to staph, gets the staph, takes antibiotics to nuke, prib goes back too soon, cycle repeats.
I also remember his coach danaher saying in another interview that he had a terrible diet while at his peak training and leading up to that. That most likely had a huge hand in it as well. Its not his gut flora.... its his fascia that disfuctional due to his unprecedented and unnatural time spent on a mat doing his craft.
