After seeing the London episode I was like "now you know our struggle!" Pets at Home is like the only big pet store here and I've returned soooo many toys that said "safe for rabbits" that had corn husk in them for example, and loads of the GNAW toys say "remove if damaged" to cover their backs and the wood toys don't always say which wood so you can't see if they are even rabbit safe or not. And their website says about hutches which ofc they sell, yet in *some* sections they say it should be big but don't specify the size or that their hutches are not ok. It was sooo amazing to see Apollo so happy though xD

Pets at home is awful. I don't like it at all. We definitely need more pet shops in the UK, most places with a pet section barely have bunny stuff, wilko only sells stuff that bunnies shouldn't have like the bottles and tiny litter trays x

I live in Serbia too and I hate how people here are so used to these stereotypes like rabbits are only supposed to eat carrots and live in small cages.... it's also nearly impossible to find toys for rabbits because all pet stores are focused on cats and dogs

"easily amused" - ahah girl, that's literally me! When one of my bunnies does something quite normal (like drinking from a bowl) I am like "ohhhh, look at you, drinking, you're so good. I am so proud" eheh
I have a bunny who used to be 100% in a VERY small cage 24 hours a day for 2 years while I wasn’t living at home. Once I came home I did some research after he seemed to become depressed and very lethargic and unmotivated. I saved up for some toys and free roaming supplies and a new double floor hutch. The hutch is not to lock him up but as a safe space where he can feel secure. When I started free roaming him his whole personality just shone through and he’s happier than ever now! Thank you for inspiring me to help my bunny!

It's bc of you and Lennon that my bunny is free roam!! I'd never heard of it and when my husband saw a video he was totally on board! I'm so glad bc he was in the middle of designing and building an indoor hutch. Now Sophia is litter trained and has a 'base' a place that's just hers. It's wonderful! I can't tell you how much it means to have her as a member of the household! THANK YOU!

The second bunny we fostered sometimes tried to be “the bun of the house” but he lacked the ability to be aggressive so his thumps were hard hops and one time he grunted it sounded like a meow

I got introduced to the idea of having bunnies as pets just last night, so I've been researching on how to best meet their needs. I rewatch the episodes a lot to help my stepmom taking care of her bunny. She lives in a cage and was kind of neglected for a long time. Since I got a hamster I started getting worried about the bunny’s life. She basically lived off pellets and drank out of a water bottle, I got my stepmom to buy her hay and I got her some vegetables and a water bowl. That was about 2 weeks ago. I’m going to visit next week and I’m saving up homemade toys for her for when I get there. Whenever I’m there I try to sit down at the cage and handfeed the bunny, whenever I open it up to see if she comes out on her own she goes and sits in a corner, she also lunges at you when the cage is open and you try to put your hand in. Her pellets got thrown at the ground in a corner for her and she isn’t fixed. I’m gonna get her a food bowl as well(if my stepmom hasn’t already). The bunny(Blaze) is about 4 years old now. I want to go to Ikea too so I can try to kinda “force” my stepmom into free roaming Blaze. I’m also trying to get her to fix the bunny. I’m gonna keep the progress up in the comments, I’m visiting my dad next week so I’ll see Blaze again and I’m bringing her some toys too.
Does she have a hidey house? Don't put your hand in the cage, it sounds like she is fearful. Good luck helping that poor bunny
Good for you!! Thank you for helping the bunny get the life it deserves!! However, it might be too old to be fixed. If your bunny is around the age of five vets usually consider it a senior. It might cause your bunny a lot of pain to get fixed. We got my bunny when she was five and the vet did not recommend spaying as it would be better for her health not to. Ask your vet, they are the professionals.
Megan Zhang a lot of bunny savvy vet will say the older the better most cut off limits at 7 years old so I would say it should be fine
lazy homebody she has something that kinda acts like a hidey house, I try not to put my hand in the cage I only try to handfeed her sometimes

i basically gave myself a house rabbit make over by myself. he used to be in a cage stuck most of the time, but know he free roams has lots of toys and stuff to do. ever since this happens he was hopping about very happy. definitely recommend free roaming!

I started watching Lennon when I got my bunny like 3 months ago and I am literally OBSESSED. Ty my friend who recommended me this chanel!🥺
First makeover series that actually has a good rate on positive post-progression xD i was expecting at least one of them to tell you the bunny doesnt exist anymore or so. maybe im already damaged from seeing all those restaurants fail after gordon ramsays visits that i just havent had any hope after yours for them xD happy to see i was wrong!

Seeing the aggressive bun video and seeing where she is now really agrees with something I have seen in rabbits. My school had an aggressive bun that everyone was scared of but my sister and I. When she was with us she was a total sweetheart. The biggest difference between when she stayed at the school, where she was aggressive, and when she was at our house, where she is so sweet, is she was kept in a cage all the time at school. She changed completely when she was at our house that when we showed other kids pictures of how she behaved at our house they thought she was a different bunny. I truly believe that rabbits in cages have so much pent up energy that they channel into aggression. It can also be because they feel trapped and cornered in cages while when they free roam they feel like they can easily get away.
To add on to this my friend just adopted an aggressive bunny and we have been working with her and she is turning into a big sweetheart. She is also more free roam than she was at the humane society. For reference of how aggressive she was at the humane society when my sister and I first saw the bunny with my friend the staff came to check on us because of her “aggression”, she only lunged a little but then was enjoying her pets, and then when my friend went to pick her up and ADOPT her the staff kept asking if he really wanted her and kept implying that he didn’t. I was shocked to hear that they did that when he was ready to adopt a bun that may have a hard time finding a family otherwise.
