I've never had a sour. I'm not sure I would like it but I'll have to try one to find out. I was noticing that my brew kettle doesn't have the end on it to attach a hose. Is that 1/2" barb connector you list the one for that?
Yes that's right. You have to buy that separately. I use the same size for my kettle and mash tun so I can use the 1/2 inch high heat silicone tubing to transfer from both, even when really hot without melting.
