Hi Maple ! I recently took a job where I make a bit less but have much lower stress. I'm comfortable enough to do it & I'm happy with my decision. My purpose might seem silly but its my 2 12 year old cats. They have been so good to me & I treasure them both & enjoy their antics everyday. Thanks for the excellent presentation Maple & Goodnight 🌙

It's so important to find people/things that resonate with you personally when it comes to wellness. I had struggled to get into fitness so many times, with so many different routines and challenges and videos, but none of them would ever stick. But when I actually found something I connected with, something clicked in me and now I actually enjoy working out!
If it feels like a chore every time we do it, we're just going to drop it the first time we misstep.
Glad I was able to inspire you Vale!

Hey dear friend, I'm sorry it took me so long to comment, but between the pain and recovery I wanted to think clearly. This was beyond beautiful, beyond inspiring. Not only did your introduction tug at my heart strings, but the fact that you acknowledged that we are all playing a game that we weren't asked to is so vindicating. And how you encourage everyone to take control gently but firmly makes me think that even someone as old as I am still has hope. Thank you for everything, for your kindness, your willingness to relate, and for how you value resonance. It's nice to meet you, too. Big hugs.

Oh I love that! Honestly this has come full circle, because when I think about being vulnerable in a video, I always think back to a video I had seen of yours a long time back. You had teared up during it, and I remember thinking how courageous that was, especially with all the stigma against men being emotionally vulnerable.
So thank you for all you've done to inspire me as well my bestie 💛

@@MapleWhispersASMR what really impacted me was how I went from feeling validated by an uncanny synchronicity with the spiritual path you are on (honestly a bit of ego comes in like “I’m doing all this too, aren’t I doing great!”) to being confronted in such a direct yet loving way on areas that I’m lacking 🤯

    • @MapleWhispersASMR
      @MapleWhispersASMR  4 дні тому

@@JonathanThorsonASMR I get that so much though! Once you do start actually clicking with a wellness lifestyle, it's soooo easy to fall into a mindset of "Look at me, I'm so great!"... when a big aspect of mindfulness is checking the ego at the door.
In the mindfulness masterclass I mention in the description box, one of my favourite things he said was that no matter how experienced you think you are, you should treat every meditation as if it's your first.
From that I've come to like the idea that in mindfulness, one is always the student, and your teacher is every person you interact with, as well as the world around you in general.

Hi, Maple and Happy late Sunday!😊😊😊😊😊😎☀🌌💙💙💙💙💙💙🇺🇸🍁🌷🍁💖💖💖💖💖💖⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐👍. Earlier, I went to the park and looking at the boats in the water to see what positive thoughts that they did on the first day of Fall. Then, I saw a half moon 🌙 in the sky while the sun goes slowly down at the horizon and I said, "Kris, I know that you're in heaven and...your movies are so wonderful to me with laughs and singing. Plus, the movie "Fire Down Below" was the best blockbuster film ever. So...😢 I will miss you and everyone loves you very much💙🙏." And that's when I hear the perfect voice outside in my heart -- Kris Kristofferson...was 88 years old.😢🙏

Beautiful. I really appreciate what you said about meditation, because I do struggle with thoughts. changing my perspective to look at those thoughts, and the fact that I can be aware of them as progress, is very helpful. That was also a really helpful metaphor for me, that it's a muscle that's being worked out! When you go to your very first day at the gym you don't expect to be lifting huge weights or anything. And yet when some people come to their first meditation session, and their brain refuses to be quiet, they go "see look, this is impossible for me!". But it's your first day at the gym, of course you're not going to be good yet. :)

Thank you so much for sharing! These are very insightful words that I'm sure will resonate with me for a long time to come. In particular, I appreciate your emphasis on how we have the opportunity to create more agency all the time. It's always our turn to make a decision, regardless of circumstances and if we don't choose, the choice will be made for us. My deepest condolences to you and your husband's loved ones. I know I can't possibly say anything to take away the pain, but one thing that's helped me with grief is the idea that grief can't exist without love. Grief is when love has no where to go.
"Grief is a giant neon sign, protruding through everything, pointing everywhere, broadcasting loudly, 'Love was here.' In the finer print, quietly, 'Love still is.'"
I hope you find ways, no matter how small, to spread the love that you and your husband shared, because it still exists in you. But also give yourself grace, and permission to grieve.

I was going to do a whole thing about how "You only have one life to live" is a pretty meaningless sieve because it can be used as an argument in favor of almost any action and therefor sorts nothing--Do drugs, gamble your life savings, break up with your partner and start sleeping around; you only have one life, might as well try everything--but then we moved on to proof by Adam Sandler Movie and I realized this isn't a serious discussion and, contrary to the intro, 28 minutes of time has value. After all, I only have one life to live.

I'm actually really glad you said that, because I had purposefully chosen (ha!) to put in a few lighthearted moments into this video knowing that it was going to be a lot heavier than my normal videos.
I think a lot of people believe that meditation and mindfulness is an extremely serious thing. But at least for me, I've found one of the main lessons to be that you can't take anything too seriously. So yes, there are some things that are extremely serious, but I think we should approach even the most serious topics with a bit of lightheartedness.

You need to write a book 📖 about your mindfulness journey and how it's helping you. If you did and you became a success (I'm sure you would), then your mindfulness centre can become a reality. I am completely into this video.

@@WarriorofAllah78611O I respect your human right to have different opinions than I do, but that respect ends when your opinions infringe on the basic rights of others, such as the capacity to love and be loved.
If God/Allah is all loving, why would they create people who yearn for a love that is sinful by their own standards? To me personally that just seems cruel.

Click was great, I'll try and rewatch it soon. Have you seen the show Severance?
Hello, Rachel. My name is Jason. It's countless other people's names too, so I like to add my middle name, Kip. It's nice to meet you.
Thank you for purposefully making the decisions that led to this video, and the ones that will follow. It's clear how important this is to you, and it's touching that you care so much about us, you viewers, that you want us all to be able to experience the benefits of mindfulness ourselves.
One thing that resonates with me is the concept of a formal practice. I have experienced this myself this year. I began in January, and have turned a new year's resolution into a habit. My formal practice is my own, and it works for me so far. Perhaps I will take you up on your invitation to email you about it, or maybe I'll discuss it in your new discord server. For anyone taking the time to read this comment, though, the short version is that I have been waking up 15-20 minutes earlier each day so that I can take time for myself, sit quietly alone, let my thoughts settle, draw a tarot card, and reflect on it's themes and how they apply to different aspects of my life. I don't ask questions about the future, I ask about the present. And i spent a few moments journaling. Later, I share these moments with a family member of mine that I am very close to, we chat daily, and she also shares her own moments with me.
I'm human, and I do still find myself letting the game make the next move for me, more often than i would like to admit. Another thing that really resonates with me is the simple concept of one step at a time. And my family member and I will say that to each other, when we need a little compassion - one step at a time.
I've said it before, I believe my life's purpose is in the connections I have with my loved ones. I see that in you, too. Thank you for sharing this part of your life with us all.
We are all moving to higher positions 😌💕

Hi Jason, nice to formally meet you! I have seen the show severance, but that was before I even got curious about meditation, so I had never actually thought about it through a mindfulness lens!! I'm going to have to think about that during my meditation today now haha.
I love the way you've described your practice! I think that's one of the biggest steps in meditation, is to come up with your own practice that feels personal to you instead of just doing what someone told you to do. Also love that you have someone else to bounce thoughts off of!
I hear you, I also still struggle with the game making moves for me (especially when I have late night munchies!), but bit by bit I'm slowly getting better.
Sending light and love to you and your loved ones
