Perfect for a 4x4 without the need of Co2 anything under 1000 the plants will be fine aslong as the environment is dialled in correctly. Decent video 👊💚
Got the kind led x750 refunded before shipped out, this looks like the way to go. I really appreciate the videos man, more than can express
Man i want this light now!! Basically what i mean is mars just sold another unit thanks to this video! Keep em coming🤘🤘
I just ordered 12 of these lamps I hope they arrive as soon as possible I appreciate your unboxing since it was what helped me make the decision about the lights I needed
Cool, hope you used the discount code to save some money! 👍
best light channel on you tube thanks for all you do!
Thanks to your FC4800 vid, I purchased and had a great run with that thing. Think it's time for an upgrade.
Picked up 1 of these after watching your video , love it have just ordered 2nd fc6500
It really looks like the e-6500. I could be wrong. Not likely but could be. Big fan of the channel, Idk how you make tha same thing over and over and it's still entertaining but you do.
I have the 3000 and it is a beast in my 2 x 2 tent. I want to grab the 4800 soon for my 3 x 3. Honestly some of the best coverage I have seen for the money.
Yeah the 3000 is great for 2x2 and I have the 4800 in my personal 3x3.
@@Justintime2grow can you do a video or a par map for the fc4800 in the 3x3?
@@VermonsterGrows I believe I already did.
@@Justintime2grow yes I found it. I have the newer version fc4800 it has more l.e.ds per bar
Love the FC line up
Love the fact im veg seedlings in a 4×4 with just 190 watts and at end of veg im only at 300 watts. Slowly bump it up to for flower to 75% week 5 of flower im at 100%.
I don't even use the hanging gear.
Just 4 ratchets directly connected so if I need that extra height its there.
I run a Agromax UV-B T5 between the 2 middle bars.
Works perfectly
1 last thing 130 isn't terrible on the driver.
Its actually a lil cooler than alot of quantum boards. Still the lil bit of heat will come in handy in the winter time especially if running clones seedlings and early mid veg.
Flower density is good for this light, even in 5x5.
Definitely needs 4 rope ratchets.
@@heywoodjablome5630 doesn’t need 4 rope ratchets. This cable it comes with is PLENTY strong to hold you let alone this light. Also 4 rope ratchets is harder to adjust and get straight. I only do all rope ratchets when I company gives a bad hanging kit.
130 for the driver is about average for most of the lights I test.
@@heywoodjablome5630 😂 I had to reword that reply to you because google removed the first one because I said. “H*ng yourself with it” 😂
Oh google.
@@Justintime2grow I understand.
I employ 4 rope ratchets to enable me to get the light closer to the tent roof than the wire hangers allow. In my tent, the trays are 30 cm above the floor and one of the corner plants in the SCRoG stretched above the light for a few days while I looked for a solution.
Fc6500 is a beast!! I need to get another one..✌🏽❤️💚
Discount code J2G gets you 3% closer! I wish it was more but mars is kinda stingy on their discount.
@@Justintime2grow unfortunately I know bro..it was only 3% when I was running my code..✌🏽❤️💚
Thank you I just bought the FCE 6500. I'm doing auto's and trying to figure out why there flowering at 6". After watching I think I know why. Seedlings I started at 24" but at 35%. Then turned it up to fast thinking I'm in veg but probably still in the late seedling stage. Way to much light at the beginning of there life. I did get some nice buds on 1 if them just not that much.
How is the heat on the sides being that close to the tent walls? I just ordered one without accounting for that and I’m running a 4x4 as well haha happy growing
Great content. Would love to see the same test with the fc6500 at 16.5 inches.
9.75" between 500-1k ppfd is fire.
Cubic feet of canopy is the apples to apples comparison of lights. 👊
That’s too close unless you enjoy adjusting your lights constantly.
UVB fluorescent is cool for last weeks of bloom
I like MarsHydro lights, good stuff
Garbage. Garbage warranty and garbage customer service.
So excited, mine is on its way!!!!
I would grow the Baby Batter and Presidential Power I’m ordering as a Christmas gift for myself 😃🤓😎
🔥 content as always. Honest
Great content 👍🏾
Thanks, I have a lot of reviews to check out. Discount codes for many brands at Justintime2grow.com.
Great review J!
Hey Justin! Is this fc 6500 still the best overall coverage, power, and price for a 4x4?? I'm a middle to high experienced grower who is old and still uses 6" air cooled 600w mh/hps. I want something that's going to make me happy that I went led without spending 1500.. thanks
I would say this is a top contender, if not the best choice light for a 4x4 grow for the price. I have put a lot of time into researching these LED lights, and I am about to buy one of these myself. It’s even comparable to the very expensive options.
Between the se7000 and the fc65000 quality and price? Thanks
Great informational videos!!!!
Every time I listen to your voice I always think of the Otto character in the movie Animal House so if you could add “what a loser” in your video I will know that you read my comment 😛
kind of torn between this and spider farmer SE7000 for my 4x4, any thoughts?
Why are there so few red diodes ?
Mars fc series or spider farmer se which would you choose
Great light and new test rig nice work man👍👌
Wow this is on my wishlist now
I got some and no ir or uv but they advertise with sigh me up for class action.
You are incorrect. The 6500 is not marketed with UV or IR. The 4800 is. 6500, no. Is that hella confusing? Yes.
Man that wall to wall coverage is amazing great review man every time I watch your videos I just want to pull the trigger on one of these bad babies and all the shit i will get for it will be worth it maybe one day lol 😂
hey bud do u think this would cover a 5x5 ok or would u use it in a 4x4 im sorry if its a dumb question im jus an outdoor grower and wanna move inside too and wanna test my hand in a tent before going bigger thanks in advance my guy...
This is the real deal!! Cheers 🇨🇦
Wow very even spread. Nice
You should retest the scorpion diablo with your new toys
Maybe, it’s already proven to be plenty for a 4x4 though I don’t think there is any doubt.
I will also say they are awesome lights lol...i have the FC E4800 works awesome in my 4x4
Could you do a review on the eye hortilux daylight blue please :)
is this an fc or fc- e 6500 cause my two fc 6500 are different
Mars Hydro definitely needs to set up on their warranties for their lights...it should be a full 3 yr full coverage for everything. Definitely a weak spot for Mars Hydro.
Was gonna buy the light until learning about the warranty. If you know your light is solid, shouldn't have any problems in 3 years anyways. This warranty makes me think the problems start after year 1
Their CS is garbage too. Never buy from them!
is this a newer model of the original fc6500 because their website shows the diodes in a different pattern
wondering this same thing
Dear Mars Hydro, please make an FC or FC-E Series for a 2x4; Thank You Kindly!
Not fce lol just let that one go. Bridgelux needs to go away.
@Mars Hydro Factory it’s not really great in a 2x4. It’s a 2x2-3x3 light.
@@Justintime2grow so dont get the fce only get the fc ??
What is the other light he's talking about that measure their par @ 6"??????????????
The other light brand kinda resembles the name of a mumble rap group. 😂
Mumble rapper of the led industry.
@@Justintime2grow lol got it! Hey, Racks 2 Skinny is a dope song.
@@Justintime2grow thought you were talking about the new FF light lol
@@Justintime2grow migos?
@@deliafranco sounds like the volt fl1, I have one it works fine would like to see a review
This light, or the HLG blackbird?
Blackbird is not really great in a 4x4. It's mediocre. You would want the scorpion or the 750. Discount code Justintime2grow saves you 15%.
You are also comparing a high quality american company to one of the cheapest chinese made brands. There are huge differences in build quality and warranty. Nobody is going to beat Mars for in output for the money. That's where they shine.
@@Justintime2grow That is good feedback, thank you! Heading into my third grow, I am ready to invest in better lights than the cheap fecida lights I got to start out. Mars hydro look great, and tempting, but American made and the warranty with HLG is a piece of mind for the investment. The scorpion diablo looks like the absolute top shelf. The 750 with a 15% discount doesnt seem too bad though really.
Try to get a hold of a Spectrum King LED SK603 Model. Ultra thanks and have a great one big brother J
You should do a review of the Medic Grow Fold 8. $600 dollars for a 5x5, but fits a 4x4 perfectly. It's a perfect light for budget growers.
Will be in September.
@@Justintime2grow Nice 😎👊💪
WHATS THE DIFFERENT TO THE FCE????
The fce is a budget version. No Samsung diodes. Cheaper made in every way.
do you really need uv and IR ??? whats the true benefits ?
You don’t need it but it can help with quality during late flower.
@@Justintime2grow love the content thanks for what you do!
Do you ever do reviews - or more specifically, can you do some add-on board reviews? I see lots of them out there - but very few are from names that we are familiar with. I can't tell which ones are legit, and which ones are just bogus crappy leds and drivers. it would be good to have a couple in a 4x4.
I did a video on the rapid led add on bars. Also the HLG 650 video had the add on bar with it. Chilled is going to have add on bars soon too and I'll have those. You gotta try to stick with the same people that make decent lights really. If a company just makes a bunch of crap their add on bars aren't going to be any better.
it's just too bad the warranty is so short. the numbers are amazing tho.
Is not short if you never have to use it. Yep he parts they’re using in these anymore are really good. Thermals are good. I would bet on them lasting more than not. If something like this is going to fail it will usually be in the first year.
Would you choose the fce6500 mars or the se7000 spider
I would not choose the FCE anything really. FC sure but not FCE.
Ok..so how about the spider farmer se7000 vs the growers choice roi-720.. this will be my first time buying a light this big at this price point so I've been checking reviews.. the roi looks awesome.. but the upgraded 8 bar se7000 730w looks just as good.. appearance roi...
I meant fc tho... was debating between upgraded 8 bar se7000. The mars hydro fc-6500 and the growers choice roi-720
@@williampeters7336 if you’re looking at the 720 look at the chilled x6 and scorpion diablo. Those are my two favorite lights, I use both.
@@williampeters7336 discount codes J2G and Justintime2grow for those two.
is it easy to daisy chain multiple lights all being ran off a TrolMaster controller with this light? I've tried asking mars hydro but its not too clear as im speaking with somebody with english as a second language. if i need to open each dimmer box to clip wires and connect other wires to work with TrolMaster that is kind of a huge turn off. just wondering if anybody has bought multiple of these and are running them through a hydro x. thank you in advance
Bro nice intro 👍
Thanks 🔥
And the price point is the same as 2 sp3000s which would do the same amount of damage to a 4x4; I wonder which would be better?
This for sure. More sources of light, more angles, less shadows, more even coverage. The benefits are endless.
@@Justintime2grow Agreed, my mind went in the same direction as I thought it out.
Please please please 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏 review the covert led-x 500
Tell them to send me one. I don't ask for these lights and I'm booked until september.
Personally I hate having my light touching the tent
Can it effect it at all
Yo J, can you sell this light on eBay next?
I might keep this one 😂
@@Justintime2grow understandable
@@Justintime2grow If you don't pretty please hit me up. super ultra instinct thanks
Good quality plastic yo yo's than metal in the humid environment of a grow tent
You never heard of stainless steel eh? 😂
I got metal gear rope ratchets I been using for almost 10 years fam. 😂
i would prolly consider the best 4x4 for the money to be either a pair of 315w CMH fixtures for $130 each or a single 315w paired with a single HLG 225... But hell for the money the Mars fc6500 costs your into top model HLG like the 550 or 600. I mean its a nice light and all but for the money it costs theres just so many other and even better options in the premium range.
Top model HLG is not the 550 or 600 lol. Nothing is going to provide coverage like this but the scorpion diablo. Keep in mind I've tested and have had all the lights we're talking about.
Nice light bro ps u help me out with a discount code preciate it thank man
👍
Debating on getting one of these or the medic grow models are awfully cheap for what your getting
Mars is the original cheap grow light. No many companies can keep up with them budget wise.
@@Justintime2grow Nothing but the Truth
I have the medic grow fold 8. I have my first crop of 4 plants in a 4x4, into their 6th week of flower. The buds are dense, the canopy is full and the girls are happy! So far so good on the light. 👍👍🤙
@@daggerkettenring I will be reviewing them in September.
Woooooo!
I run a Growers Choice ROi-720 in a 5x5 and my temps are 68-70* @ 100%
How was the yield
@@michaelmoreno4133 39 ounces .
Pheno hunting though , so the canopy is never even
Mars Hydro is GARBAGE! WARRANTY AND CUSTOMER SERVICE ARE THE WORST I've ever experienced in 60 years!
Something tells me you've said many companies are "the worst service you've ever had".
I purchased the FC 6500 had it for 4 months it broke it's been gone for over 2 months in repair with no solutions in sight A $1000 is not a budget light spend a little bit of extra more money purchase a quality light I would not recommend this brand to anyone
👍
💞
Good light... terrible warranty lol
1 year. It’s not like the past days of blurple lights where they would have issues all the time. This new generation of grow lights is much better using much higher quality parts. Honestly I don’t think any of these warranties will get used much if at all unless you’re buying the bottom of the barrel quality.
@@Justintime2grow your absolutely right but tbh it makes it hard when others perform the same with a better warranty I think that’s the only thing holding Mars back IMO but I’ve never bought on lol just HLG
@@josecanela132 If you can afford HLG then you have no need to worry about mars. 🤷♂️
Moso driver lol rough
Glad it's so cheap lol
Cheap is a relative term. I never said it was cheap either. If you think coverage like this is going to be cheap I’m not sure what to tell you other than you’re being unrealistic.
@@Justintime2grow Relative compared to other products sure. Not compared to itself. I didn't say you said it was cheap. I don't think anyone would say that personally. I am sure if we bend the laws of physics and thermodynamics a little we can achieve anything.
@@JustinHoskinsjourneys man I want what you’re smoking.
@@Justintime2grow You right now LMAO. Sorry couldn't resist. Good talk though
Im either going to buy this or the Spider Farmer SE7000(new led bar light). The SF is about 1300 and the MH will run me 1050. Any advice? Which one would you get? Thanks Peter Miller @growgurucanada
which one did you end up buying and why?
