What up Rob! I'm Dj Bdog I'm a gospel rap dj. I've been a dj all my life, I brought my 1st set technics 1200 in 1994 still have them, I never really told jokes In my sets. I'm a crate digger I'm a track burner I've always have the hottest tracks so I never had to tell jokes. But now I want to take my game to the level. Thanks so much for allowing me to learn off ur long hours of practice. Not only that I have to learn how to practice and study ur videos. Djs who knew how to tells jokes would never show me so I just make sure I rock the party with hot tracks. But man ur so humble , you may not have started the dj movement, but you are truly one of its legends. While many hate , you teach and show love with no hidden agendas. As you know this is a very selfish art form. What I truly like about you the most you respect djs right where there at. If may ask you one thing where is the curve on your fader is it maxed out or around 90. I will be one the best gospel djs. Thanks Rob. May God bless you and your family. Amen
I used this mentality during my first set last night, but with drops. For instance, I played a nine inch nails song about sex, and slowly scratched the phrase "girls just wanna have fun", then into the full song, dropped on the 1. Went over really well from the crowd reaction
rob i have spent all my time as a dj scratching, beatjuggling, trick mixing and basically every aspect of turntablism for a good 5 years or so on a everday basis. but you know what i have never taught myself how to mix and blend music. im obviously a basement battle style dj. i kinda feel embaressed as a dj that i dont even know how to do the basic fundamentals of djing. i want to dj for clubs eventually. but i just dont have the patience to sit back mix blend and so on without constantley touching the turntables and controllers. any suggestions in how i can transition into that. thanks from dj mecca unknown.
a good friend of mine wants me to dj at his birthday party in two weeks. hes seen me cut and juggle and he was impressed with my skills. he was like bro you have to to dj at my party. i told him i never learned how to mix. he was like so what just do your thing. well i guess ima learn how to mix. i know its easy. i just got practice at it.
