I love the Yoshi's Island DS soundtrack, and this one is one of the best bangers in that game! Such a bouncy, jaunty earworm. Can't get enough of that bass
Oh the nostalgia❤. The music of Yoshi's Island DS is so good. You did a great job on deconstructing this one. I hope you do the other songs from this game as well
This is a really nostalgic song for me given I would spend a lot of time playing this game with my nieces, I love how this game sounds in general
Same, this game is most of my childhood playing it under the covers at night or on a vacation with my family on my DS Lite. So many memories.

Channel 1: Accordion or some other reed/air squeeze box (melody)
Channel 2: Pan pipes (harmony)
Channel 3: Recorder (low) [phrases] (also melody in the 2nd half)
Channel 4: Recorder (high) [phrases]
Channel 5: Bass
Channel 6: Banjo (chord riffing)
Channel 7: Unidentified percussion (if you isolated it, I might be able to identify it)
Channel 8: Cymbals (intro), various other percussion (including melodic clang sound and shakers)
Channel 9: Right-ear echo of channel 1
Channel 10: Right-ear echo of channel 3
For the 7th channel, you can hear it more clearly at 7:41. I think it's just a bass drum.
Oh, cool. Orj is doing songs from this hidden gem~
If there's one song that I loved from this game, it's this one. Thank you!!
This game was a part of my childhood my gosh, I can't wait to hear more of these!

Oh man. If you're deconstructing this OST, I hope you do the map theme.
Yes
inspired by debussy? how so?
Yoshi's Island DS's leitmotif sounds a lot like "La Fille aux Cheveux de Lin" (The Girl with the Flaxen Hair) by Debussy.
@@Orj_Osc wow i never heard anybody mention that but you're 100% right
@@Orj_Osc That actually may be the most French thing you've ever said.
