All the hate in the comments. I’m just proud to see a younger boy outside getting his hands dirty instead of locked behind a TV or phone. Good job buddy!
It's great thinking but I highly doubt you ride it hard, otherwise you'd know that your makeshift wheel spacers don't work. Especially turning the wheel inside out like that. For casual riding it might be fine, as long as you don't take corners to hard and don't jump with it. But the point of widening the stance is to be able to take corners harder. The extended lugs alone are very brittle and can easily break, snap or bend. That's why companies make actual metal wheel spacers, so you don't have to do more work in the long run after injuring yourself because of a malfunction.
Hexed Hero have you ever used those type spacers ? I was thinking about buying some for my Polaris sportsman. I got regular wheel spacers but my factory studs were too short ,so I’m looking at individual studs
I did something similar on my trx400ex flat track quad. I just drilled a hole for a second valve stem - (180° from the other valve stem. On the "normal front side" of the rim I flipped my valve stem inside out with a (siliconed on valve stem cap), otherwise the psi. will overcome the Schrader valve in the now "internal" valve stem.😅 I've had no issues with this method, even with the extra stress of racing. Another thing I would add is you should run a good thick metal washer under each lug nut and flip the tapered side of the lug nut outward and the flat side in. Unless you knock out the metal tapered inserts and install them the other direction. I would be cautious of putting too much stress on the wheel studs by extending them that far out with no internal structure between the studs. 😬
Good video kid don't pay any attention to all the haters..... theyre real quick to judge someone and half of them probably have to take there stuff to the shop to get the oil changed. A little extra wear on the frontend parts are worth the trade off of maybe flipping it and getting all chewed up. Keep wrenching on stuff that's the only way youre going to learn.
they may be harsh but in the end they are just trying to keep him from ruining his stuff. But I get what you are saying too, we all gotta learn someway.
its like using wheels on a car or truck with too much offset. You are putting a tremendous load on the wheel bearings, ball joints and tie rod ends, which will eventually lead to premature failure. Just because you can, doesnt mean you should..
If you do any hard cornering you will be very unhappy with you changes. My wheel fell off with proper wheel spacers ( that was rather my fault I didnt install them properly ) so I highly doubt you could be aggressive on your atv
@Nimbus Nimbus I just wish the place powdercoating all my quad shit would hurry the fuck up. I wanna throw this together and go rip. What can a guy do. Sit here n talk to you!? Man I'm outta here
for everyone roasting this. i made it when i was like 7. i am now 18 and i own two of the baddest cars in my area. started building them shortly after this.
So your shirt says pocono mountain east funny I to am from the Stroudsburg area idk if you’ve ever seen the 79 Malibu wagon with the blown 454 but I’ll take your 2 baddest cars anyday any time anywhere
Curtis Hall it really depends what you at doing with your atv. When you put those wheels spacers on it but more stress on your a arm and you control arms making them break easier. The only really time you could really put spacers on is when you have to big of a tire and you can't turn your wheel. If you don't have that problem and you just have stock tires on there I would not recommend it. If you just wasn't make it look cooler dont. It will just make it so things break easier and it will make you spend more money to replace the things that broke
YTSabor yessir. that was me in the video when i was 7-8 years old. i’m now 18. never had anything break or go bad with them. just a wider badass stance and a lot harder to tip.
Travis Weidtman have you ever had problems with those wheel spacers? I’m looking into buying them but idk what to believe...just normal trail riding,no jumps or anything
Missing a lug nut though...... Oh my god kid you're setting yourself up for disaster And when you put the tire back on Remember your Chris cross apple sauce with the lugging nuts you should of went directly across especially with that setup.... But hey I'm no hater here I was young once done the same things just a little advice put a space or in there Keep up the wrenching kid....
Nice video bud if you want go to my channel and I have some videos but I wouldn't use an air gun get a 12v cordless drill to put them down then tighten with a ratchet
Bad practice not using impact rated sockets. Using chrome vanadium sockets then I seen the gun your using its a crafts man. And now I’m like it’s ok. 😂😂 cool vid though.
How to break a ball joint and get seriously hurt in the process!!!!!! Oh and potentially loose a tire with how he tightened them down!!!! If you don’t know what you are doing don’t make how to videos!!!!! You are going to get someone hurt or possibly killed with your little hack
Oh... The poor ball joints

Amen, gotta start somewhere
When he is inside he could learn how to fucking talk
@@FordRanger-ih9wq haha, bitch ass. Get a real quad.
@New Trixz and he rides a raptor 90😂😂
Right! Even if he is making a potentially dangerous mistake, in the real world that's how you learn! - Scars build character and tales of wisdom.

Nimbus Nimbus I guess I find out how. I purchased the individual spacers but I also have the other style too. I’ll buy some studs soon
Are alluminium wheel spacers also strong like the steel ones?
No ball joints and ripping the valve stem off pro hacks right there lol

seems logical..but you are putting extra load on tie rod ends and wheel bearings which will cause premature failure. Keep wrenching junior..

I'm still trying to find those wheel spacers 😅🤣😂
ohhh boy, life lesson in 3..2..1
yep.
billcharlene1450 what are you talking about

@soldierofliberty everything is cheap when mom and dad pay
You never need the green plastic spacer
If you do any hard cornering you will be very unhappy with you changes. My wheel fell off with proper wheel spacers ( that was rather my fault I didnt install them properly ) so I highly doubt you could be aggressive on your atv
Nutz Deep me and you both that happened to me when i was hitting a corner n i fell over the bars 😂
The title was misleading you never made the tires wider you just make the ATV have a wider stance. You never touched the tired
Stfu punk
@Nimbus Nimbus I bet you wish you had a little lady lol... do you have a big lady?
@Nimbus Nimbus I just wish the place powdercoating all my quad shit would hurry the fuck up. I wanna throw this together and go rip. What can a guy do. Sit here n talk to you!? Man I'm outta here

Is that a LT230 Suzuki ? I need spacers
I remember my first quad.....n stuff
Hope your bolts are still on your quad cuz you probably broke them
Don't forget to swap the tires over if they're directional. Also, if you don't have wheel spacers you usually have valve stem interference. 😉
Hey i have a quick question what are those plates behind your rims called
BlackLegion Plays that’s a wheel spacer bud
There a rock guard
Rock/brake dust shield
Why risk it when you can buy a $200 kit and make it quieter
just dont seem safe to me , dont want to see anyone get hurt
Yup it looks good. Damn it hurts steering, suspension, tires and so on. Live and learn good man.
What's the green mesh circle called I Need that
Rock guard
I used to have a warrior
Almost like extended a-arms exist
costs way more
Have u ever had the spacers brake or anything. I got some just sceptical on putting Them on.

That Lizard so when I’m riding my quad and try to burn out it tips on 2 wheel to the side and I was thinking it would be good to put spacers on it

Travis Weidtman so they do hold up
Travis Weidtman have you ever had problems with those wheel spacers? I’m looking into buying them but idk what to believe...just normal trail riding,no jumps or anything
Did those lug spacers last
WHEELIEGAMINGOD 20 they do but when u do jumps they wont
Jesus Nava so muddling and normal riding is fine?
Why??
Chrome sockets on a impact wrench death
Kids, DO NOT do this lol.

Spread your tires by flipping them with spacers and stuff 😂😂😂
How do the spacers change the performance? What do they do?
Wheel spacers give the quad a wise stance making it harder to tip
ROFL!!!!
I had a few warrior but i step up to the big boy 400ex way faster and way better them warrior last but not as long
That looks dumb
Those wheel spacers are shit. They will brake. And you didn't make the tires wider.

If he turned it up mabye it'd have a chance to shatter, but otherwise I don't think so lol
bunch of 10 year old atv mechanics in the comments.
Wtf im outta here

Next video should be how he broke something from doing this 👎
Your going to mess up your tire
