Oh my, talk about making it your own. No frills, bare bones.
But the body is awesome.
Nice technology
You just can't beat slide in truck campers, IMHO. I love my Ol pop-up. But there's Def a solution for each niche. This looks built to handle rougher terrain. Nice work, Bison and D2M!
Thats awesome. I wonder why the flatbed models cost more? Seems like less bends and cuts on a flat bed as far as manufacturing.
I wonder and asked the same thing to multiple builders with no one ever offering a legitimate answer. I had to bite the bullet because I wanted a flatbed total composites. It doesn’t add up. Same amount of material, less work and less cuts.
25k for a empty shell geez you people got more money than brains
What about for me that isn’t all that tall, or I might say shorter “, Under 6.?
5. 6 Ish.
The fuck is $20k+ "affordable"?
Looks well made and light because of the materials used. Thanks for sharing. It would be nice if they had a more aerodynamic front end for less wind drag and better mpg's.
Pretty awesome... I wish they could do some pop-up versions... Or a pop-up topper...
17k is still a lot, but it looks quality. Is that the empty unfinished price?
From looking at their webpage, that is the price for an empty shell.
17k is a lot for a box.........
@@randy-x9f Build a box for cheaper then or better yet, start your own company selling cheaper ones.
From what im seeing in the truckcamper world, 17k is a steal.
@@micheljansen85 Keep in mind, that is $17K for an empty shell.
I'd be curious if Drew sticks with this design going forward. He's changed his camper designs at least 4 times now. Hard to trust a company when they keeps changing the product and there's no consistency. Lots of promises and promos but not a lot of products or deliveries out there in the real world.
Interesting that he would dog on Total Composite campers just because they use composites made in China. Total Composites have been building campers for at least a decade now that have traveled around the globe on unimog chassis. TC campers are proven worldwide for a long time now. Drew needs to sell a few units first before he starts to talk about other companies...
FYI total composites gets there panels from China… they are not made in Canada.
@@matthewostheim3279 that’s what I meant to type. I knew they were made in China panels. Darn apple autocorrect.
Hey Drew here. We’ve been doing hard sides for three years and made one revision. When we did Pop Up we went from aluminum to composite, and then offered aluminum for a short time while we moved fully to these new Composites. I’m not really sure what you’re getting at and changing designs four times. Once for Pop Up and once for Hardsides. And yes I am comparing and showing how our product is better and improved than another product, just educating and explaining why we believe our product is better… what’s wrong with that? This month we are finishing our 22nd camper of the new style (since December). And over 50 since the beginning. Thanks for sharing your thoughts. Have a good one!
@@drewphillips2001 I'm glad you finally found a process that you're sticking with but lets be real you've changed your business model multiple times. First came on as aluminum pop-up. Then went to composites pop-up. Then went back to DIY aluminum pop-up and then now finally using composite panels that everyone else is using because it's easy and doing hardside composite. I'm sure you're using composite panels from Texas from Lemker. Again, nothing wrong with improvement but hard to hand over money to a company that keeps changing their product.
I think his business philosophy hasn’t changed seeing he states I build it however you like but maybe his engineering ideas are constantly evolving.
These are giving Scout a run for their money
Love the camper and the build materials, but one thing that many of these types of campers seem to lack is a bathroom. I've considered these builds but always end up looking at more traditional truck campers because of the bathroom. I'd like to see builds where they incorporate a small bathroom with a cassette toilet and shower.
Spending 30k plus for a camper but needing to bury your shit with a shovel everytime you need to pinch a loaf seems like a let down. These things are so well insulated for winter camping, but still you have to go outside to take a dump? It's like you'll be super cozy inside but then have to suit up for whatever the weather or situation is at the time. Snowing? Raining? Storming? 2AM? These are all situations that should have an inside bathroom option.
I like it. It is great Bison is willing to customize it. Really customize it.
That is a nice camper, thermaly perfect, like the Earth Roamer look. Price seams fair in todays world. Potential durability makes it a value. Really good company name.
That's a burly built slide-in, and I bet the weight is pretty low. I think the pricing is great compared to other options that aren't as well built. Definitely added to our list for the next build. Would like to see base weights and price ranges on the average custom builds they're doing.
I would have to see what the options cost. I would want high storage on both sides. Solar on the roof and alternator charging.
Thx for showing this really amazing and I have been following them thx to you Love it

As long as you have a bed that you don’t have to make, unmake and store bedding every day and offer a comfortable sofa “option” for a backbreaking Denny’s” diner booth dinette these will fly out the door💥💥💥
This would be a great mobile office idea too.
I'll use discount code: MULLET
Those are cool. It would be nice to know how much they weigh. Their website doesn't mention weights.
I’ve chatted with them back and forth a few months ago. That camper with interior buildout is just under 1,000 lbs. A 6.5’ full-size slide-in is about 720lbs with windows and a door. Hope that helps as a frame of reference.
@@dherring256 Awesome, thanks for the info!
@@dherring256that is killer light when you consider an older stock Sierra can always haul at least 5,000 pounds. That gives you plenty of room for water, personal items and more cabinets.
Best shell option for sure. I had a chance to check out the slide in at the show. Thanks for showing the built unit!
BUILD YOUR OWN AND SAVE 20K
Cool eclipse video @4:57 😎
Awesome camper for sure👍
What are the weights?
👍👍 once I get my money from the federal government I need one to fit a F-250 or Ram 2500. 07-15-24@12:52am
The Tulsa location is a nice central location in the U.S.: so tired of seeing all the cool campers out west and nothing good built in the east.
Are you getting a new Bison? You mentioned you were getting a cab over. These look like they would fit the “bill”.
Smart. Get reasonable on price or go out of business. The market is softening big time.
Without a bathroom I am not interested
I love it
Hello 👋
I want one
Pricing has improved a lot
Damn. And they still want over $17k for an empty shell? I'm in the wrong business.
@@Kriss_L how much would it cost you to build one, and at what price would you market your camper?
@@RotasOpera All i know is, a GFC (yes different type of camper) is about 9k without any options. I built my own wedge style similar to a GFC the way I wanted with the extra options like windows and such for about 2.5K So I can imagine building yourself you'd save a ton of money. But not everyone has the time, skills, tools, or place to build one themself. Just food for thought
@@jamiethomas8975 good info and your camper sounds awesome
@@RotasOpera My first camper, fully furnished, was $16.5k in 2003. I looked at getting another one, but the same model & options is now $40k.
For less than $1k I made a camper shell, and another $5k or so to fully furnish it.
Four months driving Colombia in our Promaster and not one American overlanding. There must be some somewhere on the PanAmerican but we’ve only met Canadians Europeans and Brazilians in vans trucks and monster expedition trucks. Not one American. Are they all at shows in the States looking at vehicles instead of going south? Weird and lonely.
Its junk!!!!! Junk
I agree, nothing is way better.
Hahaha gotta love a troll on a Saturday night!
