Greta Gerwig | 'Lady Bird' Press Conference | NYFF55

In anticipation of the New York Film Festival premiere of Greta Gerwig’s lovely and loving Lady Bird, the writer-director participated in a press conference at the Walter Reade Theater. She discussed writing her original script (of 350 pages!), putting together her ensemble, growing up in Sacramento, training to be a director through acting, and more.
The 18-day New York Film Festival highlights the best in world cinema, featuring top films from celebrated filmmakers as well as fresh new talent. The five-person selection committee is chaired by New York Film Festival Director Kent Jones and includes esteemed critics, curators, and programmers.
Since 1963, the New York Film Festival has brought new and important cinematic works from around the world to Lincoln Center.
