I am usually a "shadow of Mordor" or a Witcher 3 kinda of guy--or something is sci-fi. However Battlefield 1 got me back into first person shooters and games in this genre. Now I'm playing Battlefield V as well. Both are so good.
This sounds amazing! But a question: Would it sound even more amazing if it had background sounds of the explosions and shoots and ... trains and planes ... and more??
No game till this day compares to BF1. The feeling of being in a war and the pressure of losing or gaining sectors in Operations is insane. Back in it's hayday the gameplay was as close as this trailer. Pure chaos and fun. Planes bombarding from the skies, tanks demolishing infantry, people flying around, screaming, bayonet charges, medics rushing into combat with syringes to revive people and dying in their efforts. I miss those days.
Revisting this in 2024, I can gladly say this were much simpler times with Battlefield. Battlefield 2042 hasnt given me that Battlefield feeling since Battlefield 1.
You can say whatever you want about Battlefield 1, but you can not say it wasn't a very VERY epic game, so much more so than any other Battlefield game before and after.
