The main theme of the Battlefield franchise is timeless and iconic. Audible in almost every game in the line, it is truly a tune very familiar to even individuals who do not play the game.
As the first soundtrack of the Battlefield series, 1942's soundtrack introduced the Battlefield Theme, as well as making use of large and majestic fanfares similar to those used in future installments.
As Battlefield 2042 approaches, I for one wanted to create a rendition in the epic style I manifest. Complete with commanding brass and earth shattering drums.

[SPOILERS]
A dark ominous hum signals the entrance of the piece. This is then followed by Taiko drums and hard hitting strings. They start to intensify as a German officer rouses his troops at the beginning of the Kaiserschlacht. The drums, strings and brass intensify even more with much velocity played in each instrument. A break comes, then synths begin the countdown to the chorus.
The iconic theme roars in all it's glory along with large drums, brass, and strings. As well as electric guitars to add to it's already intense nature. Trumpets begin joining forces and emphasizing the motif even more. Ending with the iconic drum motif of the theme, But this is not over.
After pads and synths give way to rest the composition, an Erhu (A Chinese oriental instrument) begins playing one of the other iconic themes from Battlefield's soundtrack. Followed by the full orchestra and an inspiring choir.
As a lone trumpet signals the end of the section, it is followed by fast strings and large drums. What can be heard is radio chatter ripped straight from one of the most legendary missions in the franchise, "Going Hunting" from Battlefield 3. As the sounds of Jets being launched from an aircraft carrier roar, the orchestra prepare for the finale. Synths begin and one last iconic motif and then...boom.
An armada of full fortissimo instruments come together to create an absolutely earth trembling finale. This is also accompanied by one hell of an electric guitar. The whole orchestra then plays to the beat of the theme as a build up to the final motif. It concludes with the most powerful drums played to the beat of...."Du-Dun Dun, Du-Dun Dun"

I literally searched "Dun dun dun dun dun dun" in the UA-cam search bar, and I was NOT disappointed! This is like the whole legacy of BATTLEFIELD... this franchise is no doubt my favorite out of all of them. It helped me pass German class! Es ist sehr wunderbar!

This is more than a remix, and more then a mashup of different versions of the battlefield theme. This is a story written through music:
0:00 - 2:10 The World Wars (1&2)
2:11 - 2:40 The Cold War (Including the Vietnam and Korean Wars, as characterized by the Far East style of orchestra)
2:40 - 2:50 9/11 and the start of the War on Terrorism
2:51 - 3:13 The War on Terrorism, including Afghanistan and the Persian Gulf War
3:14 - 3:24 The End of the War on Terrorism
3:25 - 3:48 The new United States Army, coming to begin the War with Communism
3:49 - 5:25 The modern Battlefield series as The United States takes down Communist China
Like I said, it’s more then just the remix or the mashup, it’s a song telling an in-depth story about the history of the United States without using words. This is why people call music art, because it can tell someone centuries of history through just a few minutes of guitar strumming and drum beating.

In the 'world wars' part, you might aswell throw in some interwar conflicts aswell, such as the Spanish Civil War, The First Phase of the Chinese Civil War and the Soviet-Japanese Border War.

This is easily the greatest cover I have ever heard! I love how you’ve taken some parts from the Legacy theme.
I will be very disappointed if the main theme doesn’t sound at least a little bit like 1942. The more recent modern time Battlefield themes just didn’t feel as gritty as the original ones. BF1 and V pretty much nailed it.

This is the best Battlefield theme I've heard!! I love how you blended in elements of multiple Battlefield games! I heard BF3, 4, 1 and V references in there, and they were all done perfectly!!

the voice-sample synced to the iconic break at 00:00:45 is damn fancy'n'fresh.. though battlefield has been officially completed to me with bf4 it feels good to see that there are still many, many players, admirers and creators out there still putting so much love, time and effort into their works around the franchise in spite of the giant and almost scandalous fuck-up with the 2042 release and their "corporate conduct" until present day. as it had no spectator-toolbox so the fan-productions and remixes of the soundtrack became a true goldmine.. yours is one of the top 3 - outstanding piece of work

Thanks! The lead instrument for that part is not a horn or any brass instrument. It's actually an "Erhu" it's a Chinese string instrument. 😁

Really good cover. If I had to guess the reason this doesn't have more views is because you used 2042 as the image. It has by far the *worst* version of the Battlefield theme ever made and people probably assume it's a cover of that theme and don't click on the vid.
