21:51 Wave Theory, you are one of the few reviewers who just shoots straight and tells the truth about equipment, God Bless You! You give your opinion, whether good or bad, and just let it rip. I really appreciate that. Please keep coming back with more reviews.
@@sauhamm3821 Just ordered mine which was also open box for 219$ directly from Hifiman. After shipping and taxes it is roughly 300$ in total. These cost 950$ in the cheapest store here in Norway and that is with a 570$ discount. The price difference is just crazy.
Great review. Its $399 new directly from Hifiman at the moment. Although I listen to other genres, I listen to a fair amount of EDM so its very tempting.
Good morning sir! I just saw R10 is now 599 on Hifiman store. Would it be a smart buy for a metal listener? Like Cattle Decapitation type of music? How are the drums sounding at the beginning of Be Still Our Bleeding Hearts?
11:13 To FIX that just open them up, and put some tape around it, internaly.. I did that to my pair and I can use them at 30% volume around my kids playing normally, and TV in the next room. Its unfortunate we have to do this, but theres that!!! It doesent change the sound at all.
I just bought the HER10D from Amazon's Hifiman store for $399 with the R2R Himalaya dongle for an extra $200.. Pretty much for semi-portable use... When I'm away from my desktop headphone rig. If I don't like it I'll use Amazon's return policy for an easy refund. Thanks for the review, very well thought out and executed .
The XLR cable came with it? Did you try it? It looks like it is a 3 pole on both 3.5mm sides which would mean on the left side (TRRS) the ground contact of the 3.5mm would short the L- and R- contacts. Same problem as with the R9.
I received a R10D accidentally when I ordered my R10P. From my point of view. It sounds good with the Bluetooth device and specific music but with an amp it was way too much bass, you could barely hear the voice. It was simply not good. For the same retail price of less than 1000$ you get the audeze Lcd2 closed back. And it's 10 times better in all regards except weight. Still taking a decision between these two is a no brainer.

Glad you said, "It makes alot more sense at $800 or $900." That sums it.
I have and enjoy the Radiance. But these are SO cheap right now on HiFiman, I think I am going to grab a pair.
Nice review!
$400 open box. arrived in perfect condition! 😮
@@sauhamm3821 Be sure to post your thoughts. I ended up going with a pair of used 109 Pro's.
I‘m eying them too, what do you think about them?

Hi! How are R10D compared with Audivina in sound tonality and techincal hability?

For $239, are they an upgrade over my Sundaras, or just different?
I wonder if you could seal around those gaps between the wood cups and the plastic with something to improve the isolation?
Вырезать силиконовую прокладку толщиной 1мм
Any idea how these compare to the Closed back Sundara's? Currently Sundara's are priced $120 and the HE-R10D are at $400 (wireless open-box)
They are sending you the heavy hitters!
As of today, these are $399 new and $349 open box from the HIFIMAN Store.
219$ for open box today :)
OK Sounding headphone priced at $1,300 = Pass
Really want to see this compared to the Sony R10
It looks so ugly for a 1.3k. Geez! No brainer to take the Focal Radiance.
Conclusion: a very good headset... 500 $ overpriced...
