    I just bought this model and it’s easy to navigate versus the others I’ve had. I like that I can tell it to save a video instead of trying to hit a button to save which takes my eyes off the road. Love that I can monitor via my phone when I’m parked too. So far, it was worth the $240 I paid for it!

    This video was very helpful. One way to add more benefit is to include details not available from the Garmin page, like whether the charging ports are USB-A or USB-C and the length of the charging cables. My vehicle does not have a cigarette lighter port but it does have USB-A so that is why it would help to know. Also the length of the provided charging cable helps me determine if I need to buy the extra long charging cable in advance.

    Great vid. It's worth noting on the recording quality that it is not possible to use the 1440p & 60fps options together. 4 options are: 1/ 720p 30fps HDR, 2/ 1080p 30fps HDR, 3/ 1080p 60fps, 4/ 1440p 30fps HDR. I've been disappointed with the quality of mine because it doesnt pick up number plates very well. I'd have liked an option to narrow the camera view if you wanted it.

      Having a dash camera facing to the rear would work. We also have rear view monitoring cameras specifically designed for this if you are looking for a more permanent solution. They record as well so you can go back and get footage in the event of an accident.

      The cameras that we currently offer can be used for either outward or in cab views. If you are looking for a discrete camera that you can use to record the inside of your vehicle I would recommend the Garmin Mini 2 dash camera. With a 140 degree field of view it will record 1080p video. It records at 30 frames per second so this voice controlled dash cam has you covered.

    Not sure what I’m doing wrong but in my Garmin Drive app I don’t have the “videos and photos” tab. When trying to do the “picture in picture” the instructions say to select videos from within the videos and photos section of the app but I don’t have that. I just have my two cameras at the top (the 67w and mini 2) then the vault tab, live view, and then the audio recording option. Not sure what I’m doing wrong here

    How do I set up recording time to 3 minutes or 5 minutes? I don't see that option anywhere. Also is there a way to change the recording time further back then 10 seconds when saving a video? I'm missing alot of accidents and my own almost near misses because I'll save the video too late and the saved video only goes back 10 seconds so it dosen't catch the incident. Seems useless if the saved video only goes back 10 seconds and It misses every incident.

    • @cascadia7244
      @cascadia7244 2 роки тому +3

      @@Baddonation22 the solution is this Garmin 67W dosen't have that 3 to 5 minute recording intervals like other dash cameras do. The only option is that you have to be quick to say "save video" in order to catch the 15sec before and after recording which isn't enough time to catch the accident. Or just wait for the video to upload to the app which is longer about 45m. I would say get a bigger SD Card so more temporary videos could pop up on the app and so you could grab them in time. Other then that there is no way to lock the video. Garmin needs to add that option on there.

    • @vjekoslavburic3399
      @vjekoslavburic3399 2 роки тому +4

      @@drexoyellow See a video comparing them; in short, the 57 and 67w have the same amount of pixels, but the 67w is wider and covers more area, while the 57 doesn't record as wide, but with the same amount of pixels, with the 57 you get more details from further away. You simply have to decide if it's more important to have better details from further away, or if recording 180 degrees so the sides are covered is more important. With both of those, you'll be able to see the cars clearly, only with the 57 you might be able to better see the licence plates.
      Both of them will record better details than the Mini 2, plus they have GPS built-in, plus if you decide to record in 1080p (the same resolution as the Mini 2) you can record in 60 fps as opposed to 30 on the Mini 2. The only upside with the Mini 2, besides its size, is that, when you network it with the 57 or 67w through the app, it will be able to access the GPS data from those dashcams, so you'll get coordinates and date/time supplied by the GPS.
      And it's not like the 57 and 67w are very large; I have the 67w and it's comparable to a Zippo lighter in size. Pictures don't do it justice: when I opened it, I was surprised by its small size, even knowing that it's about the same size as a matchbox, just seeing it really surprised me at how small it is.

    how long parking guard last on built-in battery ?

    • @Technorv
      @Technorv  2 роки тому

      Great question! According to Garmin's website:
      "The Parking Guard feature allows the camera to record video automatically while your vehicle is parked. When you turn off your vehicle, the camera automatically enters parked recording mode. The camera automatically records video each time it detects an incident, and sends a notification to your smartphone when the camera is connected to a Wi‑Fi® network. You can manage Parking Guard settings from the Garmin Drive™ app on your smartphone."
      Another article goes on to explain the various Parking Guard settings:
      Parking Guard Settings
      Select Up arrow > Parking Guard > Settings.
      Enable
      Enables or disables the Parking Guard feature.
      Auto Start
      Sets the amount of time the vehicle must remain still before the camera turns on the Parking Guard feature.
      Impact Sensitivity
      Adjusts the sensitivity level for incident detection while the Parking Guard feature is active.
      Monitoring Time
      Sets the amount of time the Parking Guard feature remains active before it turns off.
      Run on Battery
      Sets the Parking Guard feature to use the camera battery if an external power source is not connected.
      NOTE: If you touch the camera while the Run on Battery setting is enabled, it may turn on unexpectedly when it detects motion.
      Record Before Incident
      Sets the device to record 15 seconds before incidents are detected. You must connect your camera to an external power source to use this option.
