- Made some time finally to install the drag radials and go make a few pulls in the car to see how it hooks before I go out racing in Mexico.
Mexico streets were cold this time around but proved to hold up pretty decently. Spun on 2-3 of the pulls but definitely made power quick.

How are you getting traction on those drag radials? After I got over 800 in my 2013 Camaro SS with a Whipple 2.9l, I had to go to the new Hoosier steel belted full slicks. No drag radials could hold it...
I have to warm them up really well and run at around 18-22 psi in them. I also don’t have that instant torque like whipples have, my car ramps it torque in as it begins to hit higher RPMs.

You can only hope for so much on blacktop..especially in first gear,as you know, ...i heat/clean them and make ssecond gear pulls for bet results..most tuning for WB 0/2s are in third
How have you been liking the Mickey’s ET R’s? I’m currently just Fbo + e85 and I want to daily slicks in the back but can’t decide between the ET street S/S or the ET Street R’s, mainly want a good set to roll race/daily and occasionally dig at the track, hardly rains where I live btw but what would you recommend? Welcome back btw!🤟🏼
My brother runs et street S/S’s on his 700hp trans and and it hooks super good and does decent in rain, Rs are super soft but so far so good when I go out on streets for hooking but at track you would probably twist some stock parts or are more likely to with how soft and sticky they are. I would go S/S to daily and Rs if if they aren’t.

My lug nuts came with the racestar wheels I got, I do want aftermarket though. For stock setup it’s still the same GM ones

Hey man I have a 2018 1LE what wheels and tires are you running (size) did you put smaller brakes on?
I have racestar wheels, 18x4.75 in front on Mickey Thompson sportsman’s and 17x10.5 in rear on Mickey et street R. No I kept stock brakes, if you go with 15s in rear you’ll need diff brakes

I did the work with my dad and brothers. Built the entire setup ourselves

Question on your radar detector the numbers on it how can you tell how far away they are or if they’re radar is near you. Is it the higher the number the closer they are and lower is it the safer you are or what
My radar is now tuned so it’s 100x quieter, number 1 will be a distance away and 2 and beep gets louder for ka then the cop is close. But now that it’s tuned it’s quiet and only detects cops scanning

Depends what you go for. I kept full compression but i basically have to go full E85

I have just been chilling, still here just been working a lot and traveling, built my truck and all. Hardly drive the car. I plan on making a video here shortly. I made UA-cam just to track my progress and record the fun of it all but once I got the Camaro done I was like purely focused on having fun.

@@MP3BOOSTED what brand/company did you use? I was thinking about using an LME short block but it would save me money to use like GPI forged pistons and rods with my stock block
I went with callies for my rods and pistons. I plan on changing the block entirely when things go bad with this setup. I’m about to turn up boost up from 13psi to 18-19 here soon so I should probably be maxing out stock crank numbers. Then I’ll probably look into a LTX or something

Hey bro just watched all your videos and I have a 2017 LT1 as well that I just bought. It's almost identical set up to your NA build. It made 598whp on E85, the motor has 82k miles on it. Should I be worried or do these hold up well? It runs perfectly right now but just curious the reliability on a NA cam build. Thanks bro.
I’m sure you’ll be fine, just overtime parts will need to be replaced no matter what you have done. As long as you do your regular maintenance it should help pro long the engine life.

It’s great, only downside obviously is how much gas is wasted I do 50% e85 and 93 octane and then have to put 3 gallons of meth

@@MP3BOOSTED how hard is meth to do ? I really was trying to avoid that so much work. What with the lt4 pump and injectors get me to alone
So I ended up having a shop install it and screwed it all up (this is why I install stuff on my own) was a ton of wiring without instructions so I was lost. I’d go alky since they give you instructions, wouldn’t be a problem as it’s step by step. But other then that so far so good. I went with RPM meth kid and highly regret it.
@@MP3BOOSTED why’s that? I really was trying to avoid getting meth and having to fill it up all the time.
Rpm kit had no instructions and they were no help, they wanted me to ship the car to them to install it. I prefer to build my own cars and do work my own but when it comes to wiring I don’t understand it fully just yet so made it difficult, alky has instructions so super easy to go by. I don’t race my car a lot, I do drive it here and there but I’m still on my first 5 gallon tank, I have a 3 gallon “fuel cell” in truck and it takes a good bit to waste that.

I honestly wish, I’ve been debating about getting back on one, I had fun with my R1 but once I parked it I started to have a lot of issues and then never drove it again so I sold it. I really want an H2 or R1M, just depends I guess. I got a new house and have been doing some off video projects with my truck and going out traveling a lot so just haven’t had the time or money really to be throwing out on another bike at the moment. Maybe here in a few months I’ll grab another.
