Thanks to Canadian Plane Spotter for the information! For clarification on the Eastern aircraft, here's the scoop: Some entrepreneurs from Miami bought the rights to the Eastern Airlines name in an attempt to bring them back as a charter airline in 2015. They were bought out by SwiftAir (a US charter company) and had some painted in SwiftAir colors, but eventually reverted back to the traditional Eastern livery. Their 767s came from Dynamic, a company also based in Miami. Right now, they're being wet leased out to Sunwing because of the 737 MAX groundings. Pretty cool!
New scoop is now they're suppose to bring in 777s into the fleet by next year which is exciting! One of the 763s is currently in the paintshop. Great spotting btw hope to see more!
I don't like it. The money they are spending on it you would think they would try and change from the United and Continental. They have a bad image the last couple of years. If you are going to spend millions re branding they should have gone with a completely new look.
I absolutely LOVE the fact that u list the age of the aircraft & flight duration!!! I wish more plane spotting channels did this. I gotta ask though, Eastern Airlines? The only Eastern Airlines I remember went bankrupt back in the 90's. Are they a charter airline?
Thank you! And yes, I'm very confused about it too. Supposedly, Eastern is back, but they aren't really their own separate airline. They're currently flying routes for SunWing and have a few of their aircraft painted in SwiftAir colors. So I don't know if it's some sort of sharing situation or something else lol. And when I search the registration, it says their owned by Eastern Airlines, so who knows!
@@LeppAviation that's interesting...gonna have to keep my eye out on that. A few of the aircraft I saw on ur vids had the same colors as the Eastern I remember so who knows, maybe they are making a comeback. I rem going to my home airport of Pittsburgh in 1990 to catch a flight & seeing this huge mob of protestors & police outside of the passenger drop off; Eastern employees picketing, ha. Thx for the reply 😎👍👍
They were acquired by Swift Air not too long ago, and have actually started the process of stretching out their flights to be more cross country, both north and south.
Some entrepreneurs bought the rights to revive the Eastern Airlines name in Miami back in 2015 as a charter airline. The livery was all the same. Soon after, they were acquired by SwiftAir (another American charter company). SwiftAir had initially painted the Eastern fleet into a new livery (the yellow and blue seen here) but recently decided to revert back to the traditional Eastern colours. The Boeing 767's came from Dynamic Airways (also based out of Miami) and Eastern is wet-leasing them to Sunwing while the 737 MAX fleets remain grounded. Hope that helps :)
There is an aircraft in this video that shows Eastern and it's logo on the aircraft, yet is not Eastern. How can this happen since aircraft names and logos are not transferable just to any company ??
It is Eastern, if you search the N number on the aircraft, they are owned by Eastern Airlines LLC. So it's real, they are just in a share with Swift Air.
They aren't still flying, the went bankrupt over 20 years ago lol. But they are trying to get Eastern up and running again and are currently in a share with Swift Air
It's either put up with the traffic, or cross the road and lose a lot of the airfield view, unfortunately. There really is no good place to plane spot around the perimeter of the airport.
The camera panning is great. And the flight/aircraft info made me a sub'er. Is there a blast shield at the end of the runway you were shooting from? That first departure could wreak havoc on the traffic if it were a '47-8 with full thrust applied after stabilizing.
That eastern 767-200 looks really good in my opinion, you don't see many 767-200s flying I believe air Zimbabwe flies a few and I think a couple other airlines operate those as passenger aircraft.
It's a special administrative region of China. It technically is a part of China, as Hong Kong is not fully independent from it. Though it's not a city directly in China, it still classifies as a region of the People's Republic of China.
I live in the UK and cannot fathom the idea of a DOMESTIC flight being 5 whole hours. Guess that's what happens when Canada is such a huge country. 5 hours to Vancouver, or just an extra two hours the opposite direction and you're in London.

@@pjm91788 Awesome!
Thanks for the info. I was wondering how there were still Eastern Airlines aircraft flying!
Wow, I can't believe you got to see that Eastern 767! They've come to my local airport now and then but I haven't been lucky enough to spot one yet.
That dreamliner is soooo guiet!
Phenomenal shots out of YYZ, awesome seeing the new United livery!
Thanks! Eastern to Punta Cana, DR? Awesome
Nice Catch of United’s New Colors!
So awesome to see 767-200s still flying
The Eastern 767 sounding like a C5
Ahh, the new United livery! I still have mixed feelings about it.
Me too
I did too, but I honestly love it after seeing it in person.
looks like copa not UA

I like everything but the blue jets. Just doesn’t really work for me.
Eastern is flying again? Nice video
At 1:15 did ya'll note the Eastern Airline?
Great vid! Cant wait for you to come back to yyz soon!
NO WAY?! Eastern’s flying again with large mainstream aircraft again. I think Rickenbacker would approve.

To be honest that thumbnail was why I clicked on this video instantly, I was like *Wait, a day of spotting in 1994?!* 😅 Thanks for clearing that up.
Nice video, greetings from Scotland, liked and subscribed
Have you thought about coming to Phoenix to watch planes?
I'd love to, but I probably won't for a while since I'll be in flight school
Good luck in flight school.
Great Video!
6:46 sounds like the old PW JT9D engines. They always sound amazing! Why 8 dislikes?
That's because they are JT9Ds! Pretty awesome!
a very nice plane spotting !
I can deal with the fence, but the traffic ..., ugh!

This is soo cool! where is some open place where we can photograph airplanes near Pearson? I cant find any, they are all highways lol
Very cool video. Well done
There still something about tri-jets.
darn fence and UA livery need to change tail looks like copa or Continental
The camera panning is great.

Is there a blast shield at the end of the runway you were shooting from? That first departure could wreak havoc on the traffic if it were a '47-8 with full thrust applied after stabilizing.
Yep, there's a blast pad there, lol
I never realised the age some of these planes get to. 30 years old and still going. Wow.
That cool
Eastern? so COOL
Can you have a review on Philippine Airlines model planes?
Nice vid:)
No flight from Toronto to mbj :(

great spotting liked
I was in a plane at yyz a few days ago and I was like wait why was there a plane that looked like eastern 767 with a white tail, and now I know.
You couldn’t do this in the uk they would tell you go away at least in other parts of the world they appreciate the aviation community for spotting
Amazing how big Canada is - You really don’t think a flight to Vancouver from Toronto would take 5hrs when a flight to Mexico City is only 4:10 hrs.
Coming from Canada, you don't really realize it until you visit Europe and can drive through Germany, Austria and Italy in one day.
@@davidlisowski5245 pretty much - I live in Denmark, and can drive to Italy in half a day.
Can you do a Houston iah plane spotting
I'd love to go to IAH! I probably won't for a while since I'll be in flight school.
Okay heres a crazy idea all blue surfaces on the new united livery should be painted neon blue that glows at night! lmao
Hi, where do you park your car??
Right at the end of the road by FedEx
Wait. The ages are how old the captain is?
Uhhh, no? Lmao, the age is how old the aircraft is.
k
The best
Very cool video
0:18 Gemini Jets made the model with the same registration.
Megan Thai Yep, It was the first aircraft to be painted in the new livery.
A lot of the flight times are wrong. @15 :52, the flight to Atlanta would take a lot more than 1 hr. and 35 minutes.
Better start complaining to flightaware then:

5 hours to Vancouver, or just an extra two hours the opposite direction and you're in London.
Flying from Winnipeg to Churchill, Manitoba (same province) is 2.5 hours, or a day and two nights by train.
What runway was this
RWY 23
Woah!! What’s the story behind the Eastern 767??!! That’s fucking awesome

i miss when yyz used to be so active, now because of covid this is not the case
YYZ certainly lacks a good viewing area, unlike other airports, for example, YVR. The wire mesh and passing vehicles are very distracting.
I agree. Kinda unfortunate. However, I did find a really nice location that's coming out in a video soon!
@@LeppAviation Looking forward to seeing it!
I was in a plane for 2:30 pm United Arab Emirates
New United livery looks hideous, they should have brought back the U.

Hehe nvm
What? Are you kidding me. A 15 hour flight to China? That’s impossible! It should be like 9 hours
Lol, no, it's not impossible. Flights to China from Toronto are almost always 14 hours or more...
