The deer been there before you moved in and with all of their habitat is being destroyed with subdivision new roads. They are used to being safe there. It’s a shame that they are bothering your plants but they feel safe there even though you going have to do something. Hopefully you don’t have to kill them and you can find another way it’s going to be hard since they found another food source there. You and Miss Wanda get well soon 🙏🙏🙏
Those plants do look beautiful! Getting outside right now and breathing deep is very important but also recognizing that you can't push yourself too hard. Very wise to quit and go rest when you did.
I’m so sorry y’all are sick. If we lived there, I would make you some of my get well homemade chicken soup. My husband would also come and help. That’s what neighbors do . I know Homelife still goes on and you have to get up and push through. Praying for a speedy recovery in Jesus name! Blessings.
You need a gallon of bone sauce. That raised bed is beautiful. I hope you take good care of yourself and Ms. Wanda too. We had flu over Christmas and it literally drained the life out of us. Rest as much as you need to and I will be looking at old videos in the mean time.

In central Florida, deer sauce did not work because of the amount /frequently of rain washing it off. I ended using rebar/hoop/deer netting over raised beds. Looks like you're finally getting moisture. Get better soon. 🙏 😎🏖🏝
You got to watch those Deer!! They chewed up my blue berries, black berries, raspberries ,grape vine!! Last spring I planted these all new!! They came on the property at night I even had them all covered up too!! I hope you and Wanda get to feeling better! I had the bad sore throat and earache, I ended up takeing amoxicillin 500mg it knocked it out quick! Also this was fish antibiotics by the way !!!
There used to be a kids toy product, similar to caps from cap guns that when you threw them on the ground they'd pop.. snapping sound. They'd also go off if stepped on. I don't know if they still exist but that would be interesting to see if they'd go off when deer step on them. It sounds like it's time for a big crock pot of chicken garlic soup.

May God bless you both and heal you. I'm going intj my 3rd week of this crud. No fevers tho. I'm adding grow bags this year. Not many options. I can't get root crops to grow. Hoping for bigger garlic and onion bulbs this year. Deer eat off everything else. It's a constant battle. I was raised on a farm but growing in containers and raised beds isn't my cup of tea. I just don't get enough out of them to please me. Lol
Sorry to hear you're not feeling well. I'm dealing with the same bug. I have hinged hoops over my raised beds. The first year I used frost cloth and it worked pretty good. Then I replaced it with Agfabric nylon mesh and like it much better. It allows more light,water penetration, and you can see the plants without uncovering. It's on it's 3rd year and shows no sign of wear. I'm sure you're probably familiar with it but I just thought I'd throw it out there.
I wish I lived closer I could help. You are blessed with deer. Will fill your freezer and perhaps you can swap with someone who is blessed with vegetables but in need of meat. A blessing in disguise.
Danny, take it slow. Sickness affects us oldsters harder and longer. Do a little, then rest. I know I'm tired of resting, I want to get outside to check on my cabbage, kale and collards. I use the dog panels too to keep the deer out. I connected my chickens to the garden. It works perfectly..I let the chickens in sections to scratch up the soil in between plantings. Feel better

Well folks (Danny & Miss Wanda) I've come to find yuns - yet again. For whatever reason, y'all been out my "algorithm" (Lawd if I must, have to use that word - personally, I despise it). I done cleaned up my sub list yesterday. I figured that would be the reason I found you today. Oh wee hours in the morning. We ain't seeing light till 7:45 in the AM so it seemed as though I woke at 1AM - nahh, 3:30 is just about right for me. I know you folk know what I'm talkin about. Early to bed, early to rise. (I used to fun my grandparents about that when I was a kid; now I get it! And at my age "it's a must". So I hear ya tell about your "Pecan Grove" opening up to the general public. I have seen touches of Pecan Grove here and there, but I was not in the know that Pecan Grove was only open to patreon Members Only, perhaps I have been out of the algorithm a bit too long not to have known that Yes Ma'am Miss Wanda, most assuredly this show is "PG" ! So, "wahahappen" to my algorithm? As best I can tell; you take a break from watching TV (big chores, sick in bed, vacation - whichever the case may be and you're booted out of the Rhythm all together. Now, I'm at the age where my memory hole is mostly hole. It is an "Out of sight out of mind" situation for me anymore. I'm not as observant anymore and can't hold a thought for too long, I'd make a terrible witness! (frankly, it scares me.) I used to be a Lil too observant according to my son, nothing got by me. LOL I can remember multiple 10 digit sequences over and over to help my mom do corporate inventory just so she can get home sooner and ask girls spend more time with her. So I had not realized that you were no longer showing up as well as many other channels that I do remember of course just that y'all were not popping up and I would take the path of least resistance and go with what was suggested. Which push yuns way out of sight there in turn out of mind. Now, I hope to catch up! I truly enjoy every one of your channels and believe I have found a font of reliable information from y'all that no one else speaks of nor has knowledge- such as yourselves. Be it farm/garden/kitchen or "porch" even POD 😊. So is it that the "Tube" has got ja beat down or is it more so yuns just have so much content ya gotta split it up into two? I would reckon a little of both, but I can't speak for you. I would also presume that by it's very nature - it's just "different" - albeit the same type of content it's a different farm, different projects are going to commence - here pretty soon from what I gather. It's just all new and y'all are giving Deep South that time it needs to heal. I like your sense of stewardship to the land and may God Bless you for taking that mantel he has so lovingly gave us seriously and to heart. I hope you both feel better soon. I have deer come onto my place every night. I find deer poo in my flowerbed right outside my bedroom window! Can't take them out, too suburban. What I'm going to do is put up motion detector alarms and see if that helps. 🤷♀️ Get well soon!
I have deer that come down from the mountains when it turns bitter cold. They clean the apples off the ground and mow my law if I haven't had the time before it snowed. This is the 1st year I found signs of deer(deer pellets) this summer, but no garden damage.

I hope you both feel better soon. I have deer come onto my place every night. I find deer poo in my flowerbed right outside my bedroom window! Can't take them out, too suburban. What I'm going to do is put up motion detector alarms and see if that helps. 🤷♀️ Get well soon!
I have deer that come down from the mountains when it turns bitter cold. They clean the apples off the ground and mow my law if I haven't had the time before it snowed. This is the 1st year I found signs of deer(deer pellets) this summer, but no garden damage.
They mow my garden down!
