Yep..single women here with a home and yard. The only thing I pay out is lawn care. I do everything else, and I love it. I love yard work and working my body. I tackle one job at a time, and I get it all done. I give myself one week to do it and it's done by the end of week. I pace myself...😊 I do the same every year.👍

Yep I’m a 64 year old single woman with bad lungs , I do stuff and then rest… I have a few cows , horses , too many chickens probably, my garden beds , workin on a high tunnel ,all on 33 acres … not as easy as it used to be but , thank the Lord I’m still getting it done.. when it’s 105 degrees outside it’s a little bit harder
I have heart, lung problems, fibromyglia, fatigue, mini seizures, vertigo at 60. Baby steps. No way I could do all that but do as much as I can. Accomplish one thing a day. More on a good day.

Great video! Poor Danny dang near got thrown off that tractor.😂 The feeder seems really nice. Except for getting hit with them corn kernels flying out.
It’s not easy to operate a tractor with one hand, especially when trying to film at the same time. I noticed the white knuckle grip on the scoop. Glad everything worked out and everyone is safe.

Danny is, as he has proven many times, ocd. OF COURSE he’s going to get it right! It’s far less costive in both time and resources to take the time to do it right than to have to go back and do it over.

I think it’s a blessing that the turkey, quail, and other birds are coming back because you have provided them a sanctuary. Please be careful with your mowing schedule, as some species nest in the grass. (As if you needed a warning.) Maybe you will get some killdeer and bobwhite.

That is awesome to be seeing quail. I too have not seen or heard a wild Bobwhite in 19 years. I love wildlife. I have several degrees in the forestry, fisheries, and wildlife management, Biology, and Natural Sciences. I am a conservationist, not a preservationist. Use without Abuse is good for me. I look forward to seeing more from this food plot. Thank you for sharing your knowledge.
The grass on the food plot is lush and thick, but the tallgrass prairie has grass taller than the head of a man on horseback. It’s easy to get lost in it, and many people did; many of them wound up taking dirt naps.

We use two bags corn one bag swedt feed to feed deer
In our humidity the sweet feed molds to fast to use in a feeder.
I gotta deer with a broken leg at the lower joint I’ve got to get this year.
Well guys that really good you can do all these things now wait tell you are 77 it just doesn’t work as well more pain than you want to deal with. Just a wake up notice. I remember I had to get my wife to put me up in tractor bucket she couldn’t get that, bucket roll right at all she liked had dump me out several times.
If it was me I would have set it out towards the other tree . . The one that would put it in the middle from looking out the stand .
Canned deer with potatoes and carrots is awesome. Not to mention the cubed blackstrap (tenderloin). 🦌

Danny, there ain’t nothing like walking up on a covey of quail. boy, they will scare you when they takeoff. We used to have them on the farm in Central Texas, but then they disappeared. I’ve heard over the years. Heard some say that fire ants took him out. Don’t know if that’s true or not, but that’s what I heard.

With those legs on the feeder, at the point where the round peg goes into a square hole, why not drill a hole all the way through and put a pin in it?

Wow, that feeder, until you move it, you may need to put a metal shield on it to keep the corn from going int he woods. Not to self, when moving it, load it with a little feed and do a test fire before refilling. 😆

Danny, your neck must be bothering you a aweful lot because you've mentioned it a few times and I've noticed that your shoulders are rolling forward and your neck isn't aligned very well. I know you've had several accidents etc in your life but maybe try one of those shoulder/back braces that reminds you to align your back better and shoulders back would help with your neck bothering you some. They aren't expensive and might give you some relief.
I shot my crossbow at 1 square bale and it was in front of 3 round bales, and I never found the bolt… when I put out the round bales and they were eaten .. I looked for the bolt… never found it
With field tips on a regular crossbow target bag, it sinks up to the fletching. The bolts are probably in the hay somewhere or went through it all. Maybe drug off by something. 170 pull weight on mine.
How many acres do yall have there on your homestead
Pecan Grove has forty acres. Deep South Homestead has ten. IDK if there will be any additional property available for PG.

why go through the effort and cost? When the DNR only lets you get one/two per season?
It's not like fishing to my knowledge per day.. Someone here told me, if you don't get one in the first week, you're done (rifle season). The deer all hide or run to Wisconsin! HA! It's a complicated situation, that I'm not involved with. But it's interesting.
We can take up to 9 per year.

Do you have problems with the wild hogs? I watch the videos of David in north Miss. Trapping the hogs, I watch his videos and he very good and stays busy. The hogs will destroy a lot of land. God bless

Question here. Why do people feed deer corn, most prefer grass fed grass finished beef?
Some do it so you can just watch them and enjoy, some do it to bait them, draw them in. Might be other reasons but that the 2 main ones I know of
I raise beef and I can tell you grass fed beef taste bad. Plus most grass fed beef grazes on land sprayed with grazon making the meat toxic.
That last sentence that you said in this video, is exactly the mantra of the nwo; the only difference is their target includes mankind as food. You may want to run for President if someone tries to take out Mr. T again. Just a thought.

Danny will watch over time. Barren does won’t have young or show signs of pregnancy.
Probably the biggest ones that never had fawns with her. Old bucks get bigger antlers.
@@JNoMooreNumbers My observation is that Danny hunts for meat, not trophies. He is more likely to take barren does and defective young bucks, young bucks being dumb and tender. Careful culling improves the herd over time.
They will be fatter and have no fawn with them. Plus there usually bullies to the others.
