      You would love the band Heilung. They describe their music as "amplified history from early medieval northern Europe." They use throat singing and it's such a powerful sound. I'm coming to realize. The taglharpa is a very subtle instrument. The melody takes a backseat to the drone. And Black Metal, if you're familiar, does the same thing to much the same effect. The harshness, the background melody, it produces the same eerie beauty and dark atmosphere.

      In melody and tone of the taglharpa

    The combination of these two instruments in your hands with your spirits pouring out of them is moving to the core. Makes me want to dance around the fire, and play a drum myself. I have to try and make a tagelharpa and play it. Already made a frame drum. The sound is primal. It feels ancient and right like when I was in Germany, it just felt like home.

      Hey, I would love to learn the tagelharpa.. I would love to buy the exact one you are playing in this video.. but due to lack of any teachers where I live (south India) and no organised learning content online (as far as I checked) could you just help me understand if playing the instrument by learning on my own is possible?

    • @ebanisteria.musicale
      @ebanisteria.musicale  2 роки тому +1

      Hi Shreya! :)
      Well, my answer is "yes" in any case, but to give you the best advice or suggestions I can, may I aks you if you already play another musical instrument, and/or if you studied, more or less deeply, music, even for a short or long time?

    • @shreyab3995
      @shreyab3995 2 роки тому

      No ma’am, if anything else would help (I think like cello) would it be better if I learn that first or can I directly proceed to learning the tagelharpa, kindly suggest.. or ma’am even if you know anyone who provides like online classes or online content, it would mean a lot to me❤️ thanks for replying!

    • @ebanisteria.musicale
      @ebanisteria.musicale  2 роки тому

      Unfortunately, I do not know anyone that teaches online! Maybe there are people giving lessons, but I personally don't know them, I am sorry.
      But, tagelharpa can surely be a first instrument :) in this case though, I generally recommend to support the practice with the study of general music theory.
      Bulding a base and foundations of general music theory and knowledge, will be an anchor and a help to quickly acquire certainties that will support you in facing a new world without feeling too lost, since the path is often individual and solitary.
      In any way you prefer, with a teacher, with online lessons, books or other, in this case you have a wide range of possibilities. :)

      @@ebanisteria.musicale 😊😃again, please can you advise me for the tune of the talharpa, " black fyr and birch one with the pagan hole " I always try to find some good tuning, but it is still not in my hear taste 😄 , actually the best I found in my taste is 261 hz ( C4) for the melodic and high drone string and 185 hz ( F3# ) for the low drone, could you give me some other that are working well in your hear taste on this talharpa? 🙏🙏 thanx!

      @hugo Glrs Hi Hugo, I'm sorry for the late reply but UA-cam makes me miss some comments sometime!
      Well, with C on high drone and melodic string, I generally tune to G the low drone; it is a tuning I use often and it is the same of this video (C-C-G) :)
      Another tuning I like very much is B-B-F#; but it good when you play alone most of the times, it doesn't fit always with other traditional/folk instruments.
      😄
