i always find GMO under-whelming for the prices . . . FOMO or Curiosity kills your 150 loonies ! haha. Mostly, I use GMO "X" as base for blending all my vatts
I had to try it so that now I can say that I know it... Sometimes you get disappointed, and other times you find a new favorite!
@@christinecamley TRue that...
if you think of this as a strictly "mizunara" whisky, then you won't be disappointed
Pretty much...
mizunara casks sure impart intense flavours
That's great if you're a fan of those flavors... I can pass for things that are more to my taste.
@@foodquig agreed.. I much rather just have a quality ex bourbon whisky at fraction the cost
Andy I picked this one up at a good price at a local shop. For me it is my first experience with Mizunara Oak. Definitely a unique experience. Almost adds an earthy element. Difficult to describe.
I dunno... Every time I try something finished in Mizunara, I seem to be less enthused about the experience. I think the big AHA! moment was when I tried Glendalough 13 finished in Mizunara, and then I tried Glendalough 13 without the Mizunara, and preferred it. I think I mentioned that anecdote in the video...
Maybe it's easy to overdo a Mizunara influence?
@@jonhusser6630 I think so...
I just poured another dram of this. My bottle is about 1/2 empty and I've had it for about 1 month now. I have to say...it seems to be improving a bit with time.
@@jonhusser6630I'm looking forward to it improving...
