I really wanted to do something more to build up how excited I am for this adventure going forward! Maybe this should be a new tradition for EVERY saga and show going forward? I'd be down for it! I think it helps me feel like the experience that I'm sharing is "mine" and hopefully it's a catchy little head bop for everyone revisiting or newly discovering the channel. Onward to adventure! @CopperNickus I thought about making a Spotify playlist once I have some more openings over time. For now, it'll play with every Sunday and every view! If you want to play around with the app I used, it's called "Donna". I saw an ad for it on Facebook one day. They used a text prompt, and AI generated a rather convincing song, and I thought, "No way it makes songs like that." Here we are. Lightning and thunder!
I like how you pointed out the comparison to the Truman show with the door in the sky there. While I think this was just a coincidence, there is many things he bases off of western movies and culture. In fact some of his characters designs are based off some characters from western movies. Granted he takes inspiration from a lot of cultures into either his characters or the his world.
I really love that he does that, because that's how I usually relate to things in my world as well, whether factual or fiction. Especially since, at the time of saying that, I had no idea if they were even in a real whale at all. Oda took me on some twists and turns all within 23-ish minutes. Pretty darn impressive!
I just saw a comment you left on another reactors channel about bothersome fans and spoiler comments. It was really nice, amd thoughtful, and it reminded me I havent seen your videos on my feed for a while! Glad to see youre still uploading and im excited to catch up with your reactions!
It definitely struck home hearing from R&G about difficulties that arose from the community. I'm not that far into the show, so I mainly wanted to see the comments and get a feel for what was going on (and see if I could recognize anyone). I definitely want everyone to be able to experience the story free from the burden of others trying to influence how they should experience it or making them feel shame if they misunderstood something. But it also solidified the idea that if I want to break free from random users with canned responses and spoilers everytime I posit a theory I'm going to need to record far ahead of where I'm posting on UA-cam. So I started a membership where I could upload entire arcs and sagas ahead of the UA-cam schedule for a few people to enjoy en masse until they become public. I should have Little Garden Arc up in the members only early access in the next few days! I hope you enjoy the journey and the new custom intro for the reaction series!

Thanks! The classic intro was still a holdover from the gamer days, but it's also a part of the identity. I just wanted to make something that showed I'm committed to the journey and express how it feels to be going on said journey. I'm glad you dig it! I was thinking about reactors getting into more established long-running shows, and I do think if I had to do this all over again, I would have recorded far in advance before uploading. If I ever did another lengthier series, like Naruto, I'd probably finish the first season or major arc, and then do a combination of editing and continuing to record between editing sessions. That way, by the time an episode 1-X reaction dropped, I'd be recording close to episode 90-100. That's my plan with Vinland Saga, too. By the time Episode 1 appears on the channel, I will have already finished recording season 2. One Piece is great because it lets me experiment. It sounds good on paper (or in the comments), but we'll see how practical it is to pull off with a full-time job as well vying for my time. Haha. It is good to see you again in the comments! Hopefully, by Christmas, I'll be caught up with some of the other channels that started after me. It's actually funny you mention that. I just started UA-cam memberships today! I wrote a rather lengthy explanation about what I intend to do with it over on my 'community' tab on my channel page. The quick version is that I want to record, edit, and upload videos in advance instead of week to week. So all future reactions will be uploaded for members only early access, and then the next subsequent video will become public week after week. My intention with One Piece is to use memberships to have dozens, if not hundreds of reactions ready to go in memberships early access before I start increasing how many One Piece reactions will become public per week. As of day One, I don't have any extra One Piece videos on there yet (but I will start uploading entire arcs as I finish editing them). But I do currently have the entire rest of Season 1 of Delicious in Dungeon available. Whoo, sorry for the sales pitch. It's a habit of mine. But I just wanted to let you know I'm in the beginning stages of offering more early content through memberships. Is your @ a Final Fantasy reference? One of these days, I want to get a moogle plushie. I really enjoyed seeing them all over in FFIX as a kid!

I'm 35 and feel that you think very similarly to me which I find very refreshing. Yes it most definitely is a Final Fantasy reference. I love FF7 the most of all but moogles and cute little tonberrys are so sweet I love them!

Absolutely. I wish I could add an addendum to the end of a published video because I didn't realize the direct parallel Laboon shared with Usopp until I was deep into editing. Both feeling abandoned, crying out every day, stuck in their routine of waiting and wishing for their father/crew/family to return. Once I realized that, it really struck me at how Usopp out of all the crew was really struggling to logic it out. Such a brilliant subtext, and why I'm always thankful for comments where I can give new ideas new life. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and giving me a place to share mine, too! 🙏🏴☠️
I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed the three episode package! Such a great time! The east blue is often called only the prologue of the story because the grandline is where the world really only starts and I am so excited for you to be here Also amazing that you already encountered a One Piece fans greatest tragedy: Realizing how amazing the story is and desperately wanting to share that with others just to be hit with the very reason so many of ourself were holding giving it a chance off XD a tragedic irony

It definitely struck home hearing from R&G about difficulties that arose from the community. I'm not that far into the show, so I mainly wanted to see the comments and get a feel for what was going on (and see if I could recognize anyone).
I definitely want everyone to be able to experience the story free from the burden of others trying to influence how they should experience it or making them feel shame if they misunderstood something.
