43:55 syntac the 140 raptor was going to be axeman's tame but he gave up on his first episode.its funny to see the two raptors that he threw to the water swam to your side😂
A side note, it’s better to keep your base divided into rooms, especially with camp fires, pots, grills, generators, or anything that involves combustion of fuel because it releases heat. The insulation mechanics work both ways, it keeps the weather out but can trap heat in, just like real life, you’re turning your entire base into an oven otherwise.
That thing flying at the start was a butterfly. There's a whole bunch flying around, they look like random debris half the time. Can't interact with them, they're just ambient events.
I GOT A PHOENIX TODAY! It was emerald green and beautiful, named him baja blast! Apparently they have a small chance to spawn with special flame colors like blue, violet, gold and green! I have good faith you'll be able to find one eventually! *USEFUL TIP FOR FINDING THEM:* Parasaurs sonar can detect phoenix ashes when there's no heatwave. You can find phoenixes on the ground this way at ANY time! You can also build a 1x1 or 2x2 foundation trap around the (sometimes invisible) ashes, which will trap the phoenix when it respawns during heatwaves. The trap must be a completely enclosed box at least 6 to 7 walls tall because the phoenix spawns very high above the ashes when a heatwave starts. Ideally the box is made of single-door walls to shoot it with flame arrows through. DO NOT USE THATCH BECAUSE FLAME ARROWS WILL DESTROY IT! Use wood or stone walls if possible, ideally at the top because the phoenix will always fly to the ceiling of the trap. It doesn't matter what the bottom of the trap is made of because the phoenix and arrows will never touch it, but the top two walls/ceiling of the trap should be made from at least wood or stone. FOR A HIGH LEVEL PHOENIX, TAMING WITH FLAMETHROWERS IS MANDATORY AND YOU MUST USE STONE STRUCTURES OR ELSE YOU WILL DESTROY THE TRAP. Sorry for the phoenix rant but this is just all the stuff I've learned and thought out today while trying to tame Baja Blast, just a level 5 took nearly 200 flame arrows and somebody helping me at 2.5x taming speed. With some research I found higher level phoenixes are almost impossible to tame with flame arrows unless you have several players shooting it because the heatwave will end quicker than you can tame it solo. If you're taming even a mid-level phoenix solo you'll need a flamethrower. And thatch traps CAN work, they're just risky. I tamed mine with a thatch trap but multiple walls were broken and had to be replaced mid-taming before the phoenix could escape. If a ceiling broke it would've flown out.
Except he was burning up before he made the forge, you can see the symbol on his screen as he’s crafting the forge, so he was still overheating before he turned on the forge
