As a former team member from Rockit, I greatly appreciate your thoroughness in explaining the article policy without making it seem like a hassle. We just want you guys safe :) Hasta!
We got to deduct a few points (or fractions) from Gringott’s theming for the fact we take an elevator miles below the earth only to then have to climb back up the stairs.
@@melissapennington8154I don’t know much about Harry Potter so it might be different but in real life England they use a messy combination of metric and imperial 😭 so they do actually use miles for some things, and kilometers for other things
Love all your videos!!! Please do some Busch Gardens content, we are heading to Orlando in October and plan on doing Busch gardens one day- but none of the Busch gardens content creators are as informative or fun to watch as you guys!!! You’ve prepped us beautifully for Disney and Universal!!
Iron gwazi is a must do!!! It’s 206ft tall 76mph(faster then Velocicoaster) it’s also wayyyyyy more intense then Velocicoaster there’s no slow moment or half way brake system it’s the best coaster in Florida and in many of coaster enthusiasts top rated coaster in America/world don’t skip that ride. When we rode it there was a couple from Scotland who was behind us I heard them over talking about Velocicoaster and I asked which one was better and they both said gwazi both said it’s faster more intense and overall a more crazy ride
Hulk and Velocicoaster are my favorite. I really wish I could get the Hulk theme song as my ringtone. But can't find it. Do just love all the coaster. Thank you for another amazing video.
Science! The coaster nerd in me scoffs at only two rating criteria, though 😂 My ex and I developed a coaster rating scale that included ten criteria, on a spreadsheet, that we fiddled with on long road trips. My number one was Ice Dragon (RIP), his was Millennium Force at Cedar Point. 🤓
I love the concept of roller coaster science! I’m personally not a massive coaster girlie (hagrids and Gringotts are the most intense I can do for Universal), but this is a fun way to pit the rides against eachother. All amusement parks have coasters, but parks like universal go all out with the theming to amp up the coaster experience. I’m loving the speedometer for the true science vibes too 😂
It’s been a few years ( almost 7 lol) Sind I’ve been able to visit, so a lot has changed. The Mummy is my favourite. Just something about it. I love it
Mummy is my favorite because I love dark rides and indoor coasters, but I also haven’t been to Universal since they built the top two so I’m excited to experience them whenever I’m able to make it to the parks again.
to be fair, I never rode velocicoaster. but thats crazy that rrr didn’t even make your list! Mine are: 1. Hagrids 2. RRR 3. Mummy 4. Gringotts 5. Hippogriff
As always thanks for the PSA, they should run a video of you at all the locker rides! My favorites are Hagrid's, Velocicoaster, Mummy, Hulk, Gringots. Flight of the Hippogrif isn't a must do but I do love it, the views of the castle & park are great especially at night.
Great video. I think you need to add a third rating of “overall satisfaction”. This is where you deduct points for headache inducing qualities or because Brendan didn’t get coffee or score higher because you are just completely happy when you get off the ride. I have to say that Velocicoaster is the only coaster I’ve been on that still provides a scary thrill after multiple rides. Not sure I will ever be able to take that extended barrel roll without hanging on. One time I rode it and the guy behind me was screaming his head off; at the end he asked if all rollercoasters were like that because he had never been on one before. Yikes! The three of us sitting around him informed him that he pretty much started at the top and that the other coasters in the park- and in other parks- would seem mild in comparison.
I would LOVE to see you compare these rollercoasters to those at Disney World! My kids loved Gringotts and Hippograf but were pretty terrified on Hagrids and I'm wondering what that means for Tron, Guardians, Rock n Roller Coaster, Everest and Tiana when we go back to Disney early next year
Let me tell you… woody woodpeckers roller coaster scarred me for years 😂 I was 3 years old and absolutely hated it, cried the whole way round. But years later my dad said “you’ll never do the hulk” as a challenge, and I did it, and now I’m a coaster freak and I love them. In 2019 myself and my dad did woody woodpeckers rollercoaster just as a joke, it was us and a mum and her child and we definitely got a few strange looks getting off it 😂
Good morning and Happy Wednesday! Love a coaster video in the middle of the week. Universal's parks are so nice. I love it out there. Loved the locker close on RRR.
I love Hagrid’s, but being able to walk on the Mummy with a Express pass probably makes it my favorite mid intensity coaster at parks. I might be too old for Hulk and VC😂
Yay coaster video!!!!! As fun (in theory) as it is, I absolutely hate Rip Ride Rocket. I think my neck and back issues HAPPENED because I rode it once, ONCE(!) back in 20…15? 16? I was in pain the rest of the day and could not move my neck……it was only the 2nd day of our trip too.
The only one I didn’t ride on our past May trip was RRR but my boys loved it. I had been really worried about riding Velocicoaster but told myself I was doing it no matter what. The minute I got off, I wanted to run around and do it again. Amazing! Also Hagrids is just Chefs Kiss and ticks all the boxes.
In the two days my daughter and grandson and I spent last year we rode Velocicoaster at least 8 times. My daughter rode it her first time and asked, Does our Express pass unlimited mean we can get back in line? (: We rode at the rear, middle, and Front, daytime and dark. She Never stopped Smiling! Hagrids is still her favorite, bike Or sidecar.
Was there last year. Decided to use the Hulk as my first coaster of the day. **sigh** that ride took me out! It took me out so bad I couldn’t go on another coaster the rest of the day lol 😅. I will redeem myself however this September on my next visit! 🎉
As a huge Harry Potter fan I really want to ride Hagrids Motorbike TM, but I don't normally like intense rides. Spider Man was too much for me and the most thrilling coaster I've done is Guardians, and I didn't care for it because I was scared out of my mind.
Rip tide rocket definitely gives you a terrible headache That ride has gotten so rough it's time to go.. I love all the other coasters but Mummy is my favorite!
Hi Molly and Alan, firstly THANK YOU for creating the BEST videos for Disney and Universal - I appreciate you both so much ❤ Just wondering if I could get some advice please? My family is travelling from the UK where we have a very different tipping culture - I wanted to ask whether I should give our tour guide a gratuity for a non-private RIP tour at HHN? Sorry to ask if it’s a stupid question, but I don’t want to get it wrong! I always tip generously but I wasn’t sure what was the ‘norm’ for tour guides in the US? We are 2 adults and 2 kids. Thank you so much for any advice!
8:10 I’m just not good with lots of loops, inversions and upside downs in rollercoasters as I used to be. We did see those coasters when we went in 2018 but we all looked at each other and went “Absolutely not.” The most we did was Gringotts, the Castle, Spider-Man, a Dr Seuss ride, the Mummy I think. Hagrids wasn’t open when we went so we missed out on that but we had the best time just walking around looking at everything too. I don’t remember if Hippogriff was open when we were there. We didn’t ride that either. 15:20 Yeah, the Woody Woodpecker stuff was still there when we went in 2018. I don’t remember seeing SpongeBob there either. I do like the Trolls movie and I used to really like Shrek but not so much anymore. I was never really interested in Kung Fu Panda tbh, I just don’t really like Jack Black. 21:16 This coaster is also a “no, absolutely not” for me. The same reason I don’t ride ToT, the heights. 17 stories is WAY TOO MUCH and I would probably have wet pants at the end and be quite terrified. Tall rides and me don’t get along anymore. I’m not sure if they ever did. I’m pretty sure nobody else in my family would ride this either, heights and medical conditions are a big concern with rides like this. 25:14 Those guys DEFINITELY weren’t there when we were! I don’t remember for sure if we went on this ride or if I’m confusing Kong Skull Island with this ride queue. I want to say no we didn’t but I might’ve just seen this queue and the Brendan Fraser bit talked about so much it makes me feel like we went on this. I wouldn’t say no to trying this one if/when we ever went back to Universal. But I’m iffy about the bugs, I REALLY don’t like bugs and that section might ruin things a bit for me. We probably wouldn’t ride the more intense coasters but my favorite was Gringotts and somewhat Forbidden Journey. I had my eyes mostly closed on the latter cuz of icky stuff but it was pretty fun. I would definitely try the Mummy, Hippogriff, maybe check out DreamWorks Land on a sightseeing day, but that’s really about all. We’re more of a laidback kind of family and prefer chilling out over heights and anxiety. The Holiday World Splashin Safari Water Park is our absolute favorite place to visit, hang out by the giant two Wave Pools, look at the merch shops, get some food which is pretty superb and delicious, I highly recommend!
Hello, we love your channel! I am super curious… Do you all script out your content before filming?… Or are you mostly just improvising? Either way you do a great job.
We don’t script anything.😊 we write a shotlist of what our plan is, but it’s usually just bullets (in this case it would be a bulleted list of the roller coasters so we don’t miss one.) The rest is improvised as we’re in the park.
I think the "yells at Lupin" is Harry in Part 1. Because they have this huge fight in the first part of part 7. I have to agree with you though that I don't think he would explain to US what he's doing. Espessily if your a die hard harry potter fan.
I love your PSA announcement that's always been a I don't get for me duhhhh. N Molls you used Flight of the Hippogriff ride video from HOLLYWOOD 😊 I was there yesterday n rode it twice😂 in a row(morning)and Cali Bruce says hi come visit him ❤❤❤ ya guys
I wish they would do away with the 3D glasses on Gringotts like they did with the Hogwarts ride--more than once struggled to keep them on or had neighbors' fly off into the car
The fact there is only a lap bar kind of terrifies me but otherwise I am so excited to go on Velocicoaster for the first time in two months. Also, I know the Mummy isn’t the most intense but it’s my FAVORITE
I was worried about that quite a bit too! But it’s like they staple you in at the waist and legs. I never once felt unsafe or like I’d fall out. Have fun!!
It is technically an indoor roller coaster. It is the closest to what the industry would call a "dark ride" as a coaster can be, though. Spiderman is a dark ride/motion simulator.
can you please do a ride priority list for Universal & island of adventure like the one you did for Disneyworld parks. That was amazing and so helpful. If you already did please post link because i couldnt find it.
Anyone have any tips for rope-dropping Hagrid's? How early do you have to get up if you're staying at Royal Pacific? I'm so excited! It's our first time going to IOA!!!😃😃
Just get there the absolute earliest you can. And remember that you ARE going to have to wait no matter what so be prepared with books, games, snacks and patience!
I got back from a 3 day trip last month and rope dropped Hagrid's every day! What worked for me was getting up early to be on the first shuttle from my hotel (Surfside) at 7am. I believe that all transportation options from each hotel begin running 1 hour before Early Park Admission, so I'd suggest aiming to be on the first one available. This got me pretty close in line at the gate (not quite first in line, but still pretty good), and by the time the park opened and I made it to the Hagrid's queue, I was on and off the ride in about 20 minutes. I brought a granola bar to have for breakfast in line while waiting for the IOA gate to open. I also rode Hagrid's at night by heading to the line right after the first Hogwart's light show and was able to get on and off in about 45 min using single rider.
If you get to the security gate at 6:15-6:30, you'll be one of the first thru and can walk quickly to the IOA gates, where you'll be the first or nearly so. That's what we did every morning and Hagrids was a walk on.
I love your channel! I have a video idea for you . . . Would you please film a comparison video of going through each queue with Express Pass and the same queue without Express Pass? We are going to Universal for the first time and will have Express Passes, but would like to know if there are any "unmissable" pre-shows/theming that we will miss in the queues if we skip the lines. Thank you for all of your park tips and tricks!
Most express doesn't skip a ton of the queue. Single Rider does skip A TON in most cases. Dr Doom, Spiderman, Mummy, Forbidden Journey - I could be wrong, but off the dome, I can't think of others where you drastically miss much from the queue.
ok the lockers.... IMO Content vloggers need to FILM this MORE often... explain where u ENTER...our first visit we were all FUNNELED by the "staff" into the lockers... if it is your first visit u have NO IDEA what u r doing ...along w others ...who are confused and HOT HOT HOT and those that know what is going on push u around like a pin ball in a pin ball.game 😂😢😂😢😢😂

The "Don't Be A Jerk" PSA was something I've been screaming for years - LOVED IT!!🤣🤣🤣
We got to deduct a few points (or fractions) from Gringott’s theming for the fact we take an elevator miles below the earth only to then have to climb back up the stairs.
That kills me every time 😂. Taking an elevator down to then take the stairs up
That’s funny! I didn’t even think about that when we went but yeah, you are absolutely correct. They should deduct points
Also! Does the elevator say "miles" as you go down? I remember thinking that it did! Don't they use the metric system in the wizarding world?
@@melissapennington8154 They use both in Britain.
@@melissapennington8154I don’t know much about Harry Potter so it might be different but in real life England they use a messy combination of metric and imperial 😭 so they do actually use miles for some things, and kilometers for other things
The PSA about the lockers is something I give every single time I am in the parks! Thank you giving it to a wider audience!

Be prepared for multiple very high intensity rides. More than Universal and VASTLY more than Disney.
Shout out to Alan for wearing Gryffindor tank on Jurassic Park rides & switching it up with a JP tank on HP. Fabulous
I had to rewind it to notice. 😂 But he does love some sight gags.

@@gracey452oooohhhh THANK u. great advice 💫💫💫💫💫
If you get to the security gate at 6:15-6:30, you'll be one of the first thru and can walk quickly to the IOA gates, where you'll be the first or nearly so. That's what we did every morning and Hagrids was a walk on.
@@jenniferv3219 thank you so much for this advice! I'm so excited.
Love your Don’t be a jerk! It’s awful. I don’t know why you have to have a family of 10 going to the lockers 😮
plus it makes it smell bad 🙂
0:16 pairs and apples… It‘s the intamins
The “TM” in Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure is the trademark logo and is not part of the name.
Also while the coasters warm up throughout the day the speed up
justice for dudley's!!!! it's an aquacoaster!!!!!
My family is annoyed at Jimmy Fallon for thinking this was a ride that needed to be in the park.
100% same. It makes me so mad it replaced twister as well.
Pteranodon Flyer erasure! (But I get why)
They've done this
@@kates7277 Can you post a link?! Thanks!

Most express doesn't skip a ton of the queue. Single Rider does skip A TON in most cases.
Dr Doom, Spiderman, Mummy, Forbidden Journey - I could be wrong, but off the dome, I can't think of others where you drastically miss much from the queue.
@@EpicallyUniversal Thank you! 🙂
lol "69, hehe, nice"

Hagrid's is the third best coaster in islands of adventure
