@@WideMouth facts but I am kind of annoyed they keep selling unfinished games/ dlc for example mariokart dlc, they release two packs and like 2 months later we have no idea when all the others are gonna drop, or Mario strikers where they still gonna drop new characters and stuff like just do that before the game drops and take some more time you know. At the end of the day Nintendo sucks but Nintendo games are great

It amazes me when gamers react with an outcry (cursing in anger) when a developer delays/postpones their game for launch. Game development is incredibly hard... and the amount of game systems (art/3D object, physics, A.I., networking etc) that work in unison when a gamer is finally playing the release product is mind-boggling.
@MrPants i'm studing game dev and i can confirm that makeing games take time, like A LOT, and life teach me that rushed the launch date of a game is never a good idea
The main issue is that these devs and company always overhype and overpromise then deliver a subpar product at full price (or premium even) , only to then blanket themselves from rightful criticism and backlash.
Yea because obviously its impossible to just set a realistic release date. It being hard isn't a free pass for them not delivering features on time. It just looks like bad management, much worse so if done by a big company that should know better
Now obviously for unforseen/unforeseeable circumstances its different (example: covid) and delays are to be expected in that case
At worst delays are only a mild inconvenience though (unless you are a supporter of the development paying /month), and so not a big deal. That doesn't mean it doesn't warrant criticism when done without good reason
So many of us take gaming for granted. People pour their blood sweat and tears into some of these projects just for you to rage and say how much you hate the game.
and then when they finally do release, it's mid.
I guess it's important that you first finish all those systems before going out there with a release date or anything.
You should add stealth! Ex: it’s night, and you have to infiltrate a base and there’s various snipers and spot lights that can see you, and you have to jump across the rooftops using a grappling hook and crawl through vents to avoid them! Something like that would be awesome to see!
he said something about levels being inspired by mgs v so i think it's gonna be possible

This is looking great so far! One thing I'd strongly suggest is to give your allies distinct colored outlines, as one problem I'm noticing is it's difficult to identify if a bean is a player or an enemy from a distance.

I’m absolutely loving this! Can’t wait to play pvp with friends. Is character selection (with vagan, the sheriff, jett bean etc…) an option? that would be INCREDIBLE. Keep up the good work! I’ll be tryharding this with friends for sure

Maybe you should do a private testing of the game and it's features with some of the fans, that way you can see what people might do in the game and what might go wrong; do it with the people you trust or some gaming UA-camrs that do this kind of stuff. Wish you luck 😃
Yeah when it's "Near completion" or in the bug fixing stages that'd be a good idea, since actual players might do things that the devs didn't think of that could cause problems.
Idk who they picked to playtest Portal 2, but they completely removed a joke ending where one test chamber had the moon visible and if you portaled to the moon you'd get sucked into space and die. (Though the moon thing was later incorporated somewhat into the final game's ending.) but the point is somehow the testers valve picked didn't even try this. Nobody found it which is why it was removed, but you know any actual players would have tried portaling to the moon just for shits and giggles.
Tl;dr: Players will always think of something the dev probably didn't.
Let’s Game It Out is probably a good pick. He always manages to find glitches in games.

Okay this absolutely sold me. I’m buying it when it comes out. I do hope the game however doesn’t have any heavy microtransitions or pay to win mechanics in the multiplayer.

@@KillerBean Good to hear! Reminds me of Madness: Project Nexus, coop is purely for fun (even if it doesn’t technically have direct peer-to-peer support).
Overall, I’m looking forward to this game. Reminds me of old chaotic, sandbox, third-person shooters. Also glad to hear that progress is running along smoothly, even if it requires delays to make sure everything implemented is functions properly!
the first to join is the ‘server’ and those who join the ‘server’ are ‘clients’. so basicly ‘server’ is just a host and the ‘clients’ are those who play on the server

The game’s looking great so far, but I’d recommend focusing on basic functionality first. It seems that you’re putting huge amounts of polish in already and I’m worried this might get tiring after a while. It’s usually better to get all the game’s systems working from the beginning before making everything look triple-A
Bang up job managing a functioning multiplayer system, this game just keeps looking better and better.
Console also? Heck yes to that, very thankful as a console exclusive player (Gaming PCs are expensive, goodness me.)

Some ideas that I think would be a good addition to the game:
1. an ultimate move, like in smash bros with the final smash
2. different types of missions, like a hostage or heist mission
3. street gangs that can attack you if you go into their territory
4. different ammo types, like explosive, armour piercing or stun
5. player made content, like custom maps, weapons, or boss fights

Thanks! 1. if I can get modding working, yes, you can play with custom skins. 2. Sorry, co-op mode will have separate missions than story mode. The story mode is just too big to handle for co-op. 3. Co-op will have different mission types, like survive, rescue, protect, destroy, things like that.

this is absolutely amazing to see. i would love to see a big in depth skill tree farther down the road. with a ton of things to choose from like melee specialization to launchers to pistols to rifles to maybe even like a dodging bullets stuff. this still looks absolutely sick no matter what and is a definite buy

Fanlore about this: killer bean tripped into a clone machine and some paint and now the other killer beans exist
I would recommend you to add kind of 4 players minigames after finishing the main quest. I mean like quick game modes to play with the boys (like a horde mode, vs mode, etc). Basically special levels with a bit of a twist or even a new little mechanic, something that is not that complex to do but interesting enough to enchance the experience.
Suggestion: Add the dance party from the movie as a secret mission.
This looks awesome! I can't wait to hop on with my friends and try it out once it's released!

I'd love to see MAX implemented into the game as a sort of companion. He can comment on the player's actions and can also be used to project a diagetic pause menu like in Dead Space.

hey, i have a quick question for you that i have been thinking about recently. in one of your previous dev logs, somebody asked if cappucino would be added to the game. you said no, because capuccino had passed away in killer bean forever, and that made sense to me, i understood that. although, you stated that other characters who have also passed away in killer bean forever, like jet bean or vagan, for example, would be added to the game. i am just curious about this, and a quick response would be much appreciated, though i understand that you are busy with game development and whatever else is going on in your life. i just want to say that i am a huge fan of your animations, and killer bean forever is one of my favorite action movies. thank you in advance.

Imagine the Shadow Agency tries to clone Killer Bean. It could go two ways, they could either be perfect clones and be the most dangerous enemies in the game. Or they could be goofy, faulty clones of Killer Bean. lol. I think it has potential.

one thing im worried about the game is it getting stale fast. I feel that there should be many different enemy types (20+) and features in maps to spice up the gameplay so its not just running.. like maybe parkour or grappling hooking like spiderman. also maybe like different enemy skins per region to make it interesting
I dont necessarily fully agree with the grappling stuff but the enemy types I think is good. You don't need 20+ necessarily, Halo never had that many enemy types but even with half it's about the AI and weaponry. Same enemies with different locations, weapons and under contexts, like a warehouse vs an office or something. It's about mix and matching.
Pretty sure he said there will be more diversity in enemies in an earlier log tho
Not sure about the grappling hook tho
Consider the difficulty of this project; Each new item & concept has to be considered into the Network functionality.
As the project expands it will become harder to add new stuff. This isn't a triple A team after all.
@@cmdrdyland that too. You can develop a compelling and repeatable game if you focus on the right things. Fnaf security breach is a great example of an indie team focusing on putting as much shit in as possible rather than taking what they had and polishing it

I have an idea about the interface in the game, do not make a health strip, make redness in the corner of the screen when you get hit, just the interface will interfere with the enjoyment of the game, and also add individual actions to the keys, for example, for 1, these are pistols for 2, these are weapons that you took from the killed bob and for example, for the letter x, this is hand-to-hand combat

It would be cool to add cosmetics like hats and weapon skins, maybe not as a real money purchase thing, but as something you unlock for completing certain parts of the game or doing secrets and these cosmetics can show up for other players too.
This is looking amazing so far. I really hope that you will be able to customize your weapons with lots of attachments and maybe ammo types.
