It’s a massive disappointment that GM has decided to unallocate Lordstown. They made my favourite car , the Cruze, which I had the pleasure of having for 2 weeks. I don’t even live in a country that GM sell in but I still adore the Cruze and GM.
There was a time at the plant where there was a line to quit working there..Many workers didn't like Assembly work and left to go to the steel mills and work..That was back in the 60's where you stood in a line to quit your job there..At one point there was 12 thousand people working there
They skipped over the Chevrolet Monza and Pontiac Sunbird after the Vega and before the Cavalier and Al Alli was not the president..he was the Shop Chairman..
They made some great cars and some not so great cars but GM came here because of the work force and the work ethic the workers here have..50 years and saying it's the worst plant ever ?..You don't spend 50 yrs building cars in a plant that isn't being productive..
I used to buy 4 wheel dr chevy pickups but they rusted out so fast. Went to buying Toyota, I have a 2006 Toyota Tundra thats 18 yrs old and no rust on the body at all.
Nice clip. Lordstown had a good run with the compacts. Too bad GM lost its way and is headed in a long long decline.
And now they are closed 🥺

Management is always the problem in these big companies they loot the place. The top executive makes as much as every person working on the floor.
