I decided at the age of 57 with no experience of sim racing that I was going to try and be that fastest 60 year old F1 sim driver in the world! In those 3 years I studied, practised, practised and practised some more, I started on f1 2020 and put in 1,110 hours into that game, by then I was driving with no assists, I joined a league and started getting experience with tyre wear, pit stops, strategy and setups. The guys in the league I joined were way faster than me but I learnt tons from them, I partnered up with a guy for three years in that league and he taught me so much, he was streets ahead of me in pace and knowledge. I put in 1,760 hours in on F1 2021 and by then I was starting to improve a fair bit, my teammate and another guy from VRL said they were going to try and get in to PSGL PC League and encouraged me to try too. They both got in to mid level tiers and I managed to squeeze into the last tier but I didn't care about that just that I got in. So I ended up racing in Season 32, I got promoted to the next tier in Season 33, I didn't set the world on fire and for Season 34 and Season 35 stayed around that level. by then I had put a total of 5,000 hours on F1. I decided to retire from F1 at the end of Season 35, my best drive was a P2, I didn't miss a single race and thoroughly enjoyed my time in PSGL and made some great friends too. My teammate from my regular league has gone on from strength to strength in PSGL, he is F3 now and doing very well, I am hoping he will get in F2 and who knows next he might be racing Jarno 🙂

Wow! I signed up for PSGL but cause of time zones I couldn’t race as it’ll be like 2am for me 💀. But this year I had cancer which decreased my chance even more. So now I’m trying to go back to where i was, so no assists and all that but it’s really hard with F124’s handling 😂

Lap times are one thing, consistency is another. For me, in F1 23 I had e-sports level lap times around almost every track, but I lacked the consistency to put that into racing. Low level league races which I’d qualify the quickest in, most of the time I got into incidents or DNF’ed. League racing is difficult 😭😭
great video! recently tried a 49 inch ultrawide at F1 arcade and have to say this is what i am going to upgrade to. Even though triples are cheaper, ultrawide just seems like the best choice rn especially with the pc i have and i love the wrap around effect it has.
Yes! If you love it go for it. But make sure you check out triples as well just so you know what it's like. I was on a single monitor for a while before I made the switch to triples!

Check out Jarno Opmeer's setup channel in his discord. A bunch of people there create them themselves. I find it's better to understand the setups to tweak it to your own driving preferences than to copy paste random setups you find online.

I see that Tom97 and Tiametmarduk aswell as some pro simracers on other platforms promote a online company that exclusively do setups for various sims and the F1 game. Sadly I don't remember the name but check the more section on some of their videos for links or send them a email. Tom atleast should be able to find it while Ben probably drowns in emails

It was in the build Pre 1.6. otherwise 40.9 would be f4/3/2 times (: Pre patch I did a 40.1 now it’s 40.9 in quali on a perfect lap. If you want some setups and need help with getting faster, hit me up! Enjoyed the video a lot ♥️
@@FormulaKai Its actually not faster it was pre patch / when you recorded this video now williams is slower in monaco and hungary (Because of it takes kerbs differently) other than that its pretty equal

Where do you get your setups from. The simracingsetups channel is only good enough for 110 ai.
